Before pursuing pet sitting, I worked remotely for an international dog rescue, which further strengthened my passion for animal welfare and deepened my understanding of responsible pet care. Being part of an organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs reinforced my commitment to animal well-being, and strengthened the qualities I bring to pet care — compassion, patience, reliability, and attention to detail. In the past, I volunteered with a local animal rescue where I primarily cared for cats. I currently volunteer with a rescue where I mostly help with dogs, as well as assisting at various fundraising events. I especially love meeting our supporters and their pets at these events. She also kept an eye on an old wound he had and was very attentive to his well-being throughout our time away. She truly went above and beyond. When our cat stayed out later than usual, she walked around the neighborhood calling for him until he came home. We really appreciated how seriously she took his safety and how much she clearly cared about him. She has a big heart for animals and a very good understanding of cats. She even had some thoughtful suggestions about where we might place his food and water to make things work even better for him. She took wonderful care of our home as well. Mail and packages were brought inside, our plants were watered, and everything was extremely tidy when we returned. She even left us some fresh blueberries as a welcome-home snack, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, we really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Marie is caring, responsible, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile. She will absolutely be at the top of our list the next time we need a house sitter, and we would recommend her without hesitation.”
