“Kelly was fantastic dropping in 3 times a day to pull my geriatric cat and care for my three cats. She is reliable and very capable, engaging my cats in play. She cleaned the cat dishes, the litters and left the area immaculate. I will definitely book her again when we travel.”

“Aly was absolutely amazing! My boys warmed up to her quickly and I could tell by the pictures Aly sent daily that they enjoyed play time with her. She followed instructions and kept in contact with me frequently.”

“Karlena has been amazing with our puppy Billie! She is always on time and keeps us updated. She works on training her while she’s here and puts up with the puppy biting. She is our saving grace on days where we aren’t home for extended periods of time.”

About: My first job was pet sitting and dog walking, and I've loved caring for animals ever since! As a Connecticut local, I know many great walking trails and currently walk about 4 miles a day, so your pup will get plenty of exercise and adventure. I'm also a proud cat parent to two cats, one of whom I adopted after volunteering at an animal shelter for three years during college. I'd love to give your pets the same care and attention I give my own! I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive, personalized care. I naturally build pet care into my daily routine—I love spending my evenings going for walks and relaxing with my cat, and I always make time for play, exercise, and one-on-one attention. Whether your pet needs an active adventure or a calm companion, I'm happy to adapt to their routine and make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. Creating a safe, comfortable, and trusting environment for every pet is my top priority. I take the time to understand each pet's unique personality and social cues so I can approach them in a way that helps them feel safe and at ease. I never rush introductions—instead, I let pets warm up at their own pace and learn what makes them happiest, whether that's playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having calm companionship. In my home, I make safety a priority by ensuring all of my plants are pet-safe and that there are no hazards or unsafe items within reach. I also have a fully fenced-in yard where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor time. As a pet owner myself and a former shelter volunteer, I understand the importance of providing a secure, enriching environment where pets feel comfortable, cared for, and loved.
“Brooke has taken care of our pets multiple times and she is always kind, consistent, and caring as well as a clear communicator. We are grateful we can trust someone with our pets. Thank you!”

“We were so happy to have found Jules last minute for watching out dogs during a long-weekend away! I usually have a friend petsit, who was unavailable at the time, so we planned for a my niece to house/pet sit who bailed on us a few days before! I was very stressed out trying to find someone last minute, and my husband was wary of having a stranger in the house, etc. Jules was extremely accommodating to our last-minute request for three drop in visits a day for our pets! Also, in meeting me the following morning after our initial communication for a meet and greet, even though it was short notice. She kindly went above and beyond to bring in our packages and to just check-in on our bunny and chickens, even though they had a good supply of food and water. Our dogs seemed very happy to have her for company, and seemed at ease when we checked in on them on their camera. I felt very at ease knowing our pets were in good hands, and absolutely would recommend her and use her again in the future! Thank you Jules!”

“Josh has been amazing with our pups! We had an emergency and needed someone asap. Josh responded and accepted our request within minutes, for a next morning request. He took the time to learn each dog’s needs and is always very communicative during the visits. Our dogs are HUGEEEE, so it’s not easy to just trust anyone with them. I’d definitely recommend Josh to anyone and everyone. He’s our go to sitter!”

“Madison was so friendly, professional, and reliable. Our standoffish cat warmed up to her right away, which is a better review than anything I could write. We can't wait to book her for a longer stay!”

About: Since childhood, dogs have been an integral part of my life, starting with two Pomeranians, followed by an energetic Shiba Inu named Akira, and a loving lab mix German Shepherd named Stella. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience caring for these pets—whether through cuddling, playing, feeding, walks, or adventures. I've also spent time teaching them tricks and handling their grooming needs. Earlier this year, I began offering overnight and day sitting services, along with walks, for friends on Rover, and later extended my services to family and other referrals. I focus on building strong bonds and trust with the animals I care for, tailoring our time together to ensure it's both enjoyable and enriching. I've worked with dogs ranging from 4-month-old puppies to older dogs aged 13-14, and have experience with both a kitten and an adult cat. My approach is patient, compassionate, and dedicated to meeting the unique needs of every animal I care for. I'm a makeup artist who works both on location and from home. With a flexible schedule, I currently have plenty of free time to spend with your dog! **Dog Walking**: I tailor each walk to the dog’s individual energy level, adjusting the pace and distance to ensure they get the right amount of exercise. I also provide opportunities for exploration while keeping safety in mind, and I’m attentive to any health considerations or special preferences they may have. **Overnight Sitting**: When staying in a client’s home, I prioritize the pet’s comfort and security by sticking to their regular routine as much as possible. This includes consistent feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and providing companionship to ease any anxiety, particularly during the night. In everything I do, my primary goal is to build trust with each pet, providing them with a safe, loving environment where they feel cared for and valued—whether I’m working in my own home or in a client’s.

This was our first time EVER having someone else watch our pets and Brittney seriously made it so easy and stress free for us. I’ve always been hesitant to try something like this but I am so glad we did. Britney fed, played, soaked up some sun, and even cleaned up some messes 🙏🏻 looking forward to being able to book more trips again knowing I found someone I can trust with my babies

Dana is a godsend. Perfect pet sitter for my cat Lulu. Utterly reliable, meticulous, kind and thoughtful. She takes care of my cat's needs and then takes time to play with Lulu. She sends lots of photos at each visit and thoughtful updates. I'm so happy I found Dana on Rover.com.

We are so grateful for the wonderful care you provided for our cats. You were reliable, attentive, and clearly cared about their well-being. It gave us great peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands while we were away. Thank you for keeping them happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We highly recommend your services and would be happy to work with you again in the future!
This was our first time using Rover as we had a wedding we needed to attend out of state. Sherry made the experience so easy, and made us feel so comfortable with meeting our kitties a few times before we had to leave. Our cats warmed up to her pretty quickly. We would recommend her to anyone who’s a first time user, she really is amazing. We will be using her again in the future!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
