I am currently working part-time, so I do have some flexibility in my schedule on a week- to - week basis. It's different every week, but most times I can accommodate your needs. Most of my shifts are fairly short (less than 8 hours) and work is nearby so there are no long periods out of the house usually.

My house is clean and safe, and I live a toxin free lifestyle - which means I don't smoke, I make all my own cleaning products from scratch with non-toxic ingredients, eat organic foods, etc. Rest assured that if your animals are staying with me, they are in a safe environment free from hazardous chemicals. I'm even working on making healthy organic dog treats! Stay tuned. For those fur-parents that love getting updates and photos of their fur-babies, I will gladly provide whatever level of information you need so you know and feel your pets are safe, happy, and secure.

It's important to me to know whether your dog has any special needs, quirky or devilish behaviors, fears, etc. I have experience taking care of senior dogs, can administer medications, and have a dog ramp to help seniors get up onto the couch or other high places. I am a detail oriented person, so I like to know every facet of the dog's daily routine - from when they wake up till the time they go to bed. Thorough care instructions are very helpful, because I try to simulate the dog's normal routine as much as possible.

I have no kids and no pets of my own at the moment, so I am free to totally devote all my attention onto your precious fur-babies, and give them all the love they need and deserve. There is never any shortage of hugs, kisses, belly-rubs, ball-throwing, and frisbee catching for whoever needs them! I live in a quiet neighborhood, with a medium size yard (.44 acres), and am within a few minutes walking distance of a park. I have a short circuit walk around the block for couch potatoes, a medium sized walk to the park for the average dog, and a longer distance walk for the more active dogs. I am only a few miles away from a hiking trail for those that are used to trail walking.

I've always loved animals since I was a kid, and found them to be very loving, stress-relieving therapy for people of all ages. They are such wonderful beings. I grew up with dogs all through childhood. As an adult, I had a fantastic border collie dog named Lucy, that was the light of my life (now deceased). She was very active, smart, and kept me on my toes. I absolutely adored her, and I missed being around animals. For over 10 years now, I have been animal sitting for friends that have 5 cats and a dog whenever they are on vacations, and have learned so much about animal personalities and needs. Some are love-bug couch potatoes that need lots of rubs and kisses. Some are more cool and aloof and independent, and some are active, daredevil mischief-makers barreling through the house at full speed. Some have special feeding schedules, or other special accommodations. It has been a joy to work with and be near all of them, and learn what each animal needs to be happy. No matter what personality your animal has, I'm ready and able to accommodate whatever their needs are.

Sherry is organized, has a lovely backyard for dogs, and obviously cares for animals a great deal. Wren had a great time!
This was our first time using Rover as we had a wedding we needed to attend out of state. Sherry made the experience so easy, and made us feel so comfortable with meeting our kitties a few times before we had to leave. Our cats warmed up to her pretty quickly. We would recommend her to anyone who’s a first time user, she really is amazing. We will be using her again in the future!
