About: Hi! My name is Mahalah, and I’ve cared for all kinds of pets—big and small—for most of my life. I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I currently have a Miniature Pinscher who is quite the ball of energy! He also struggles with reactivity, so I have firsthand experience understanding a reactive dog’s needs, recognizing their triggers, respecting their boundaries, and helping them feel comfortable in new situations. If your dog is reactive, nervous, or takes a little time to warm up, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to take things at their pace and work toward building trust. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, including dogs who needed help getting up and down stairs and those who required daily medication. I understand that older pets may need a little extra patience, gentleness, and attention, and I’m happy to provide that care. Since I’m currently working on Rover full-time, my schedule is flexible, and I’m able to give your pets plenty of attention and treats throughout the day. I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. I want them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and genuinely happy while they’re with me. I take the time to get to know each dog’s personality, routine, likes, dislikes, and individual needs so I can give them the best care possible. Whether they’re playful and full of energy, shy and nervous, reactive, elderly, or just looking for someone to cuddle with, I’m patient and always willing to meet them where they’re most comfortable.
