“Nikki was absolutely amazing. This was our first time working with her and we will definitely use her in the future. I love that she sent me lots of pictures and updates and her notes were very detailed.”
“Thank you so much Kelly!! You’re the best and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your patience with my shy older baby. If she came out to see you that tells you how great you are with animals. Thank you so much!”
“Shannon took care of our kitties while we were away for a few days. They were very well taken care of and loved seeing her again! She is wonderful with them! She communicates very well with us-we get pictures and a nice note on how the kitties were doing! Highly recommend! Thank you!”

“Jennifer provided great care for both of our pets and was very accommodating, even when an unexpected contractor showed up in the mix! I felt very at ease knowing that Jennifer was paying attention to a recent medical concern with our dog and providing the attentiveness that both pets are looking for when we’re traveling. We also got plenty of updates and photos , which was very reassuring! We’ll definitely be using Jennifer again!”

“We were so happy to have found Jules last minute for watching out dogs during a long-weekend away! I usually have a friend petsit, who was unavailable at the time, so we planned for a my niece to house/pet sit who bailed on us a few days before! I was very stressed out trying to find someone last minute, and my husband was wary of having a stranger in the house, etc. Jules was extremely accommodating to our last-minute request for three drop in visits a day for our pets! Also, in meeting me the following morning after our initial communication for a meet and greet, even though it was short notice. She kindly went above and beyond to bring in our packages and to just check-in on our bunny and chickens, even though they had a good supply of food and water. Our dogs seemed very happy to have her for company, and seemed at ease when we checked in on them on their camera. I felt very at ease knowing our pets were in good hands, and absolutely would recommend her and use her again in the future! Thank you Jules!”

“Giselle was great checking on our cats while we were away. She sent daily updates including video clips spending time, petting, brushing and interacting with our two kitties. I believe spending a half hour a day. We returned home to everything tidy and a fresh litter box. We very much appreciate it as we miss our guys when away and glad they got some special attention. Thank you!”

“Jacqi was a phenomenal sitter for our two rambunctions and playful young cats! She was really communicative and attentive, and Jimmy + Daphne gave her great reviews. You can feel 100% confident in her capable hands.”

“Jade is super conscientious, prompt, and caring! Great with communication with humans and pets! Katsu had a wonderful time, I felt reassured having Jade come to the house, and prepare Katsu’s special dinner!”

“Tyler was great! It was our first time hiring a sitter for our girls and using Rover. Tyler was excellent with communication, and even came to our home twice before our first trip to confirm all of the instructions. Everyday he showed up when he was supposed to and gave a detailed report of how each visit went. He was extremely careful when entering and leaving our home as he was made aware that one of our cats was an escape artist. We were very comfortable having Tyler in our home taking care of our cats and he did a great job! We look forward to our next trip and hiring Tyler to come back. In the past, we've packed up our girls and stress them out to have a family member watch them in their space. Tyler allowed us to keep our girls in their own home with familiarity and in keeping with their same feeding schedule. Our girls were calm when we returned home and didn't skip a beat. I highly recommend Tyler's services!”

“Excellent service. Michelle was very accommodating and helped us on two last minute service requests in addition to our original booking for house visitation while we were away. Quick responses as well as frequent updates with pictures. Will def request again. Highly recommended.”

“Cole was immediately accepted into our family of 3 humans and 2 cats. Even our ‘scaredy’ cat warmed up to him quickly! Cole was nothing but warm, professional, friendly, flexible and compassionate. We knew right away that he was the right sitter for our family. He was always in communication, sent sweet photos of our cats while we were away and really cared for our cats. He put our minds at peace while we were away. It is clear that Cole truly loves animals and is very good with them. We are so grateful for all of his love, care and patience.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Mary. This was the first time I left Daisy and I needed to find the perfect fit. Well, I found her in Mary!! Mary was so understanding of Daisy’s needs and was so in tune. She was calm, gentle and confident. Daisy felt safe with her which is a huge deal as this was the first time without me here!! Mary wrote about every visit, breaking down all the details, with photos and videos too! Mary gave me some great ideas and tips to help Daisy in other ways and I so appreciated her insight and guidance. If I could give Mary 100 stars I would!! What she did for for Daisy was huge!! We absolutely love Mary!!”
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with experience caring for dogs of different breeds and personalities. I previously owned a male Boxer, and I currently have a Boston Terrier, so I understand the importance of providing dogs with attention, exercise, structure, and lots of affection. I’m a very active person who enjoys hiking and long walks, and I love having dogs join me for outdoor time and exercise. I also live in a safe, walkable neighborhood that’s perfect for daily walks and fresh air. I treat every dog like family and always make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while in my care. Whether your dog enjoys being active or just wants companionship and attention, I’ll make sure they have a happy and positive experience! I have the summer off work ( starting June 23) so my schedule is open for both dog walking and boarding both during the week and on weekends. I have availability on the weekends and afternoons in the Fall. Doggy daycare hours are 9am-3pm In my home…I have a wooded backyard and a quiet and safe neighborhood for walks. My dog is very friendly and would love to have a friend over.
About: Animal lover who has taken care of animals, mostly dogs and cats for over ten years. Flexible hours and able to adapt to your pet’s specific needs. I am a second year law student. This provides me some flexibility in my schedule, including having Fridays off. I can be available other week days after a certain time and on weekends! My home has ample space for pets to play, run and relax! My goal is to provide pets personalized care so that they have the best experience while their parents are away!
About: I have grown up around animals and have had both dogs and cats my whole life, as well as various types of small animals. I spent the last year working as an attendant at a Dog Daycare and Boarding center where I learned a lot more about caring for dogs in addition to my previous dog sitting experience. I have experience working with and handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels, specifically large dogs with lots of energy. I have a lot of patience for dogs who get anxious while their families are away and can help them feel as comfortable as possible. I rode horses for 10 years and For several years I worked leading pony rides and handling farm animals for a traveling petting zoo which has given me a well rounded understanding for taking care of animals in general. I am a college graduate and in college I would often take care of my friend’s animals when they were in class or away. At the moment I only have a cat and would love to get to spend more time with dogs again. I work in theatre as a prop and paint artist and a lot of jobs in the field are for a couple weeks at a time and are not always the most consistent. I have full availability on the weekends and have a very flexible schedule during the week, specifically in the morning and evenings but also can likely do mid day. I have helped my sister train her dog and can help continue any training and/or rules you have for your dog while walking and taking care of them. I can keep a close eye on them if they are likely to get into trouble or things they’re not supposed to. I will give your pets lot of love and attention while you’re away. I can also play with your dogs and help get their energy out during the day. My dog is very playful and I often have to run around with him in the yard and play with him in the house to help him calm down.
About: Since childhood, dogs have been an integral part of my life, starting with two Pomeranians, followed by an energetic Shiba Inu named Akira, and a loving lab mix German Shepherd named Stella. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience caring for these pets—whether through cuddling, playing, feeding, walks, or adventures. I've also spent time teaching them tricks and handling their grooming needs. Earlier this year, I began offering overnight and day sitting services, along with walks, for friends on Rover, and later extended my services to family and other referrals. I focus on building strong bonds and trust with the animals I care for, tailoring our time together to ensure it's both enjoyable and enriching. I've worked with dogs ranging from 4-month-old puppies to older dogs aged 13-14, and have experience with both a kitten and an adult cat. My approach is patient, compassionate, and dedicated to meeting the unique needs of every animal I care for. I'm a makeup artist who works both on location and from home. With a flexible schedule, I currently have plenty of free time to spend with your dog! **Dog Walking**: I tailor each walk to the dog’s individual energy level, adjusting the pace and distance to ensure they get the right amount of exercise. I also provide opportunities for exploration while keeping safety in mind, and I’m attentive to any health considerations or special preferences they may have. **Overnight Sitting**: When staying in a client’s home, I prioritize the pet’s comfort and security by sticking to their regular routine as much as possible. This includes consistent feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and providing companionship to ease any anxiety, particularly during the night. In everything I do, my primary goal is to build trust with each pet, providing them with a safe, loving environment where they feel cared for and valued—whether I’m working in my own home or in a client’s.

Colleen did an amazing job babysitting my cat, Milo, again! She is reliable, caring, and always gives me peace of mind while I’m away. Milo was well cared for, happy, and comfortable when I got home. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals and pays attention to the little details. I’m so grateful for her help and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cobalt. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
