Kelly has been a life saver for me. I was struggling with long hours at work and doggy daycare isn’t an option because of my schedule. I finally found Kelly and this has not only been the perfect solution for me but Kelly has been a great fit. Kelly has been accommodating about an injury my dog has, incredibly flexible with me about changing days etc and my dog is very comfortable around her. Can’t recommend her enough!

This is the second time we have booked Jennifer, this time for several drop in visit this week. I really appreciate her communication and the care she gives to my dog. She even stayed extra on 1 occasion to make sure my pup poo’d, and on another to make sure she drank enough water on a hot day. I highly recommend Jennifer!

We were so happy to have found Jules last minute for watching out dogs during a long-weekend away! I usually have a friend petsit, who was unavailable at the time, so we planned for a my niece to house/pet sit who bailed on us a few days before! I was very stressed out trying to find someone last minute, and my husband was wary of having a stranger in the house, etc. Jules was extremely accommodating to our last-minute request for three drop in visits a day for our pets! Also, in meeting me the following morning after our initial communication for a meet and greet, even though it was short notice. She kindly went above and beyond to bring in our packages and to just check-in on our bunny and chickens, even though they had a good supply of food and water. Our dogs seemed very happy to have her for company, and seemed at ease when we checked in on them on their camera. I felt very at ease knowing our pets were in good hands, and absolutely would recommend her and use her again in the future! Thank you Jules!

Absolutely fantastic Sitter (what every one of his 50+ reviews says & more. Actually deserves a 6th or 7th Star!). Jade is extremely communicative. Even did research on my pet prior to showing up for the walk-thru). - Recognized the cat was 12 years old & asked if he needed any medication or dietary needs (very impressive)! Jade has a way with animals - my cat (normally a little skittish of people he isn’t familiar with) warmed right up to him. Even checked the mail for me (without being asked). Can’t recommend high enough & I will definitely call upon his services again!

Cole was immediately accepted into our family of 3 humans and 2 cats. Even our ‘scaredy’ cat warmed up to him quickly! Cole was nothing but warm, professional, friendly, flexible and compassionate. We knew right away that he was the right sitter for our family. He was always in communication, sent sweet photos of our cats while we were away and really cared for our cats. He put our minds at peace while we were away. It is clear that Cole truly loves animals and is very good with them. We are so grateful for all of his love, care and patience.

I cannot say enough good things about Mary. This was the first time I left Daisy and I needed to find the perfect fit. Well, I found her in Mary!! Mary was so understanding of Daisy’s needs and was so in tune. She was calm, gentle and confident. Daisy felt safe with her which is a huge deal as this was the first time without me here!! Mary wrote about every visit, breaking down all the details, with photos and videos too! Mary gave me some great ideas and tips to help Daisy in other ways and I so appreciated her insight and guidance. If I could give Mary 100 stars I would!! What she did for for Daisy was huge!! We absolutely love Mary!!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with experience caring for dogs of different breeds and personalities. I previously owned a male Boxer, and I currently have a Boston Terrier, so I understand the importance of providing dogs with attention, exercise, structure, and lots of affection. I’m a very active person who enjoys hiking and long walks, and I love having dogs join me for outdoor time and exercise. I also live in a safe, walkable neighborhood that’s perfect for daily walks and fresh air. I treat every dog like family and always make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while in my care. Whether your dog enjoys being active or just wants companionship and attention, I’ll make sure they have a happy and positive experience! I have the summer off work ( starting June 23) so my schedule is open for both dog walking and boarding both during the week and on weekends. I have availability on the weekends and afternoons in the Fall. Doggy daycare hours are 9am-3pm In my home…I have a wooded backyard and a quiet and safe neighborhood for walks. My dog is very friendly and would love to have a friend over.

About: Since childhood, dogs have been an integral part of my life, starting with two Pomeranians, followed by an energetic Shiba Inu named Akira, and a loving lab mix German Shepherd named Stella. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience caring for these pets—whether through cuddling, playing, feeding, walks, or adventures. I've also spent time teaching them tricks and handling their grooming needs. Earlier this year, I began offering overnight and day sitting services, along with walks, for friends on Rover, and later extended my services to family and other referrals. I focus on building strong bonds and trust with the animals I care for, tailoring our time together to ensure it's both enjoyable and enriching. I've worked with dogs ranging from 4-month-old puppies to older dogs aged 13-14, and have experience with both a kitten and an adult cat. My approach is patient, compassionate, and dedicated to meeting the unique needs of every animal I care for. I'm a makeup artist who works both on location and from home. With a flexible schedule, I currently have plenty of free time to spend with your dog! **Dog Walking**: I tailor each walk to the dog’s individual energy level, adjusting the pace and distance to ensure they get the right amount of exercise. I also provide opportunities for exploration while keeping safety in mind, and I’m attentive to any health considerations or special preferences they may have. **Overnight Sitting**: When staying in a client’s home, I prioritize the pet’s comfort and security by sticking to their regular routine as much as possible. This includes consistent feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and providing companionship to ease any anxiety, particularly during the night. In everything I do, my primary goal is to build trust with each pet, providing them with a safe, loving environment where they feel cared for and valued—whether I’m working in my own home or in a client’s.

About: I have grown up around animals and have had both dogs and cats my whole life, as well as various types of small animals. I spent the last year working as an attendant at a Dog Daycare and Boarding center where I learned a lot more about caring for dogs in addition to my previous dog sitting experience. I have experience working with and handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels, specifically large dogs with lots of energy. I have a lot of patience for dogs who get anxious while their families are away and can help them feel as comfortable as possible. I rode horses for 10 years and For several years I worked leading pony rides and handling farm animals for a traveling petting zoo which has given me a well rounded understanding for taking care of animals in general. I am a college graduate and in college I would often take care of my friend’s animals when they were in class or away. At the moment I only have a cat and would love to get to spend more time with dogs again. I work in theatre as a prop and paint artist and a lot of jobs in the field are for a couple weeks at a time and are not always the most consistent. I have full availability on the weekends and have a very flexible schedule during the week, specifically in the morning and evenings but also can likely do mid day. I have helped my sister train her dog and can help continue any training and/or rules you have for your dog while walking and taking care of them. I can keep a close eye on them if they are likely to get into trouble or things they’re not supposed to. I will give your pets lot of love and attention while you’re away. I can also play with your dogs and help get their energy out during the day. My dog is very playful and I often have to run around with him in the yard and play with him in the house to help him calm down.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
