“Brittney was AMAZING! I’ve always been nervous in the past to use a sitter but with her experience/background and after meeting her, no doubt whatsoever! She communicated the whole time, sent tons of pictures/videos! I am so happy I was able to find her and without a doubt she will continue to be our go to person for our cats!”

“Brianna is incredible! She comes every Saturday morning to help with our newly diabetic cat's insulin treatment. This requires some level of training to make sure everything is done correctly, and she has been really wonderful through that process. She already knows so much about administering medicine, and she is really easy to teach and talk through any nuance specific to our kitty. She cares for all kinds of animals and has such expertise, making us even more comfortable with her care. She is also more reliable than we could have ever imagined. Always promptly on time and always prioritizing our babies healthcare needs!”

About: Hi! My name is Douglas, Doug for short. Currently a proud papa to a golden lab named Sunny, and a grey longhair cat named Remy. My best friend is a pug/chihuahua mix named Taz. I also had an old man chihuahua named Finn, and I’ll forever miss him. I feel like I speak dog, I know how to tailor my personality to meet the needs of any dog. Cliche to say but I am better with animals than with people. I am responsible, gentle, caring, and a big rule follower. I have pretty open availability throughout the week so I have lots of time to hang out with your dogs! Let me know what you need and I should be able to make it work! I have experience with crate training my dog so I am comfortable playing with your dog in the house or yard, and switching them to their crate if needed.
“Shannon V. is awesome & I would highly recommend her for cat sitting! Thanks again Shannon - knowing you were taking care of my kitty , Maggie, made being away on vacation so much easier!”

“Jennifer is great and takes great care of our dog. She is pays attention to little things and lets us know if anything seems a little off (both in watching the house while we’re gone as well as with our dog). I have complete trust in Jennifer!”

About: I have over 12 years of experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, including large dogs up to 115 pounds. I’ve owned and raised dogs from the puppy stage through their senior years, so I understand how different their needs can be at every stage of life. I have experience with puppy training, reinforcing basic commands, crate routines, frequent potty breaks, high-energy dogs, and keeping younger dogs entertained and active. I’m also comfortable caring for senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra patience, more frequent breaks, or simply some extra love and attention. What sets me apart is the amount of individual attention I’m able to provide. I work remotely with a very flexible schedule, so I’m home almost all day and can adjust my routine around your dog’s normal schedule. For boarding, I only take one family’s dog(s) at a time, so your dog won’t be in a house full of unfamiliar animals competing for attention. My home is also pet-free, child-free, and non-smoking, giving your dog a calm and comfortable place to stay. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual feeding, walking, sleeping, training, and crate routines so their stay feels as close to home as possible. And yes, dogs are welcome on the furniture here! 🐶❤️ I work remotely in marketing with a very flexible schedule, so pet care fits naturally into my everyday routine. I’m home almost 24/7, which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. My schedule can easily be adjusted around each pet’s normal routine and individual needs. Whether your pet is used to early morning walks, specific feeding times, frequent puppy potty breaks, or just lots of companionship throughout the day, I’m happy to accommodate their schedule as closely as possible. My availability is very open, including weekdays and weekends! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. In my home, it’s just my partner and me with no children or pets of our own, so your pet will have a calm, spacious environment. I only board one family’s pet(s) at a time so I can focus on their needs and help them feel comfortable and at home. My yard is unfenced, so dogs will always be leashed and supervised when outside. Inside, pets are welcome to get comfortable and are allowed on the furniture unless you prefer otherwise. I’m also familiar with crates and happy to follow your pet’s normal crate, feeding, walking, sleeping, and potty routines. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of both your pet’s routine and your space. I’ll follow all instructions closely, make sure doors and entrances are secure, keep dogs leashed during walks, and give you updates so you know how your pet is doing. I’m happy to discuss any special instructions, behaviors, or safety concerns beforehand so I can provide care that is tailored to your pet.
“Stephen was fantastic! It was my first time having someone unrelated to the family care for our pup, I was a bit apprehensive. But Stephen quickly put me at ease with his attentiveness and genuine care for Charlie during our time away. Multiple photos, videos and updates during the day, very responsive, and most importantly a happy loved pup!”

“It is commendable that Michelle was able to get my “feral” cat Madelyn out to sniff her hand!! And she relieved me from worry by caring for all my fur babies while I was gone over the holiday weekend including giving one of my cats his inhaler If anyone is looking for a pet sitter around East Hampton to drop in Michelle gets the job done. It was a perk to come home to a clean area as well.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Mary. This was the first time I left Daisy and I needed to find the perfect fit. Well, I found her in Mary!! Mary was so understanding of Daisy’s needs and was so in tune. She was calm, gentle and confident. Daisy felt safe with her which is a huge deal as this was the first time without me here!! Mary wrote about every visit, breaking down all the details, with photos and videos too! Mary gave me some great ideas and tips to help Daisy in other ways and I so appreciated her insight and guidance. If I could give Mary 100 stars I would!! What she did for for Daisy was huge!! We absolutely love Mary!!”
“Will absolutely be reaching out to Michelle for all my pet care in the future. Michelle made being away from my diabetic dog so much easier. She provided picture updates during every drop by and was able to give my dog his insulin injections. Highly recommend Michelle if you need someone who will take care of your pets like they are her own!!”

“Victoria is a delightful person and amazing animal whisperer. My cat went straight to V from the first visit, where as with most people and previous sitters he will ovoid and hide even people who have been to the house many times. On one occasion Victoria had to go the emergency room with her child and I could not believe that after being there for hours - she and her family came to our home around midnight to feed and play with our cat. If that’s not a strong recommendation I don’t know what is. Thanks Victoria for everything. We really value and appreciate you.”

About: Hello, my name is Mahalah and I have owned a lot of pets through my life and they have always been apart of my family. I currently have a sweet senior American pit bul and one energetic mini pincher so I have a lot of experience training and caring for both cats and dogs. My schedule is flexible as I am working on Rover part time. I used to work at a doggy daycare and have plenty of experience with large and small dogs. (I also have experience with cats) I typically like to take long walks with my younger dog to make sure he gets the exercise he needs as I will do with your pups.

Colleen did an amazing job babysitting my cat, Milo, again! She is reliable, caring, and always gives me peace of mind while I’m away. Milo was well cared for, happy, and comfortable when I got home. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals and pays attention to the little details. I’m so grateful for her help and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cobalt. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
