“Mary was incredibly kind and patient with my senior dog. She took the time to earn my dog's trust, thoughtfully bringing treats to the meet and greet. Her dedication and gentle approach made all the difference. I highly recommend Mary—she’s fantastic!”

“Renee was so good with my dog Opal. I needed a walker while I was out of town, as my roommate can handle feedings but can't give Opal the exercise she needs, and Renee was amazing! She was prompt with her responses while booking, and Opal loved her immediately when they met. She gave my dog lots of love & good exercise, and it's clear she really loves dogs & cares a lot about them.”

“Cole has been walking our goldendoodle for a close to 3 weeks now, and has been a tremendous help with giving our puppy the exercise he needs. Our pup is always so excited to greet him!”

About: Avid animal lover my whole life. Always had multiple different types of pets growing up. Currently I am lucky enough to have 3 cats, a mini Australian shepard, and fish! Available part time at the moment in the mornings, evenings, or on my days off from my day job. Looking forward to meeting your fur baby! Your pets are my top priority when they are in my care. I would like to know about any allergies, health issues, or potential risks to your pet that might be in or around your home while they are under my supervision. I will be 100% committed and reliable for keeping your pet happy and safe while you are away.
About: Boarding for turtles only 🐢 Turtle boarding is available due to their contained habitat and can be booked under “cat”. It’s limited and offered on a case-by-case basis to ensure proper care. I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I have two dogs of my own, a yellow 8 year old lab named Odin and Ari, my sassy 4 year old husky shepherd. I’ve also fostered an 8 month old husky named Nala, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m familiar with medication administration, special needs, and senior care, and I genuinely love creating a calm, safe space for your pet to feel seen, comfortable, and cared for. I’m comfortable dispensing oral medications and injections, and I previously worked as a pharmacy technician for eight years, where I prepared IV drips and administered vaccines. Rabbit Care 🐇 In addition to dogs and cats, I also offer care for rabbits and understand the importance of gentle handling, consistent routines, and a calm environment. Rabbit care can be booked under “cat”. I live close by, and i'm available on holidays, weekends, evenings, and early mornings during the week with a twenty four hour notice. I’m also available for emergency drop ins during the week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, and anytime on the weekend. Since I already balance caring for my own dogs with work and school, welcoming your pet into that rhythm is something I’m very comfortable with. I don’t offer pet boarding with the exception of turtles, but I’m always happy to care for your pets in their own home where they’re most comfortable. I stick to your routine and treat your space with the same respect as my own. I’m mindful about feeding, medications, and safety, and check in with updates so you’re never left wondering how things are going.
“I found Michelle at the last minute and she responded within 10 minutes. She was able to accommodate a meet and greet and 2 dog walks for my little guys all in 3 days. She did great walking them and paying them lots of attention. Thanks Michelle!!!!!”

“Tyler is wonderful. My pup is usually shy around males due to her past but she absolutely adores him. As soon as she sees his car in the driveway she gets so excited. He's great with her.”

About: Hi! My name is Douglas, Doug for short. Currently a proud papa to a golden lab named Sunny, and a grey longhair cat named Remy. My best friend is a pug/chihuahua mix named Taz. I also had an old man chihuahua named Finn, and I’ll forever miss him. I feel like I speak dog, I know how to tailor my personality to meet the needs of any dog. Cliche to say but I am better with animals than with people. I am responsible, gentle, caring, and a big rule follower. I have pretty open availability throughout the week so I have lots of time to hang out with your dogs! Let me know what you need and I should be able to make it work! I have experience with crate training my dog so I am comfortable playing with your dog in the house or yard, and switching them to their crate if needed.
“Christine is very consistent with my dog Puzzle. She always takes pictures and leaves a note about her interaction with Puzzle. Thank you for always being patient with my temperamental guy.”

About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes and temperaments for 4 years! I have experience giving medication and topical medicine. I have been a sitter for multiple dogs at a household as well! This will be my only job while I am home this summer from college so I am very free to let dogs out often and spend loads of time with them! I follow instructions on care for your dogs extremely carefully and ensure I am taking care of your dogs as they are my own always!
About: I have grown up around animals and have had both dogs and cats my whole life, as well as various types of small animals. I spent the last year working as an attendant at a Dog Daycare and Boarding center where I learned a lot more about caring for dogs in addition to my previous dog sitting experience. I have experience working with and handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels, specifically large dogs with lots of energy. I have a lot of patience for dogs who get anxious while their families are away and can help them feel as comfortable as possible. I rode horses for 10 years and For several years I worked leading pony rides and handling farm animals for a traveling petting zoo which has given me a well rounded understanding for taking care of animals in general. I am a college graduate and in college I would often take care of my friend’s animals when they were in class or away. At the moment I only have a cat and would love to get to spend more time with dogs again. I work in theatre as a prop and paint artist and a lot of jobs in the field are for a couple weeks at a time and are not always the most consistent. I have full availability on the weekends and have a very flexible schedule during the week, specifically in the morning and evenings but also can likely do mid day. I have helped my sister train her dog and can help continue any training and/or rules you have for your dog while walking and taking care of them. I can keep a close eye on them if they are likely to get into trouble or things they’re not supposed to. I will give your pets lot of love and attention while you’re away. I can also play with your dogs and help get their energy out during the day. My dog is very playful and I often have to run around with him in the yard and play with him in the house to help him calm down.

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for over 10 years and truly enjoy spending time with animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m patient, dependable, attentive to routines, and comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and energetic dogs.” I currently work part-time and have a flexible schedule for pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting during weekdays and weekends. I always make time to give pets attention, playtime, exercise, and lots of care so they feel comfortable and loved.” “Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving, and clean environment and always follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special instructions carefully. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and treated like family while you’re away.”
About: Hi all! My name is Madison and I have many years of experience taking care of dogs and cats. I grew up with dog loving parents and we had two dogs I grew up with. They both crossed the rainbow bridge and it took years for us to recover. After 6 years without a dog, my mom adopted a German Shepherd who I often dog sit when my mom is away. I currently have my own 10 month old Corgi who is full of energy and two sweet cats. On my free time I also volunteer for Protectors of Animals and do the walking shift with the dogs in the shelter. I would love to provide you with the dedication and care that your animals deserve. I would love to do drop in visits or even a few dog walks when needed. Thank you and I hope to care for your animals soon! I am currently working at an elementary school full time as a paraprofessional and I am looking to take this on as part time on weekends or when school has breaks. In my own home, I care for my pets with such a loving manner. I never want any animal to feel like they are uncomfortable with me. If I needed to take things slow with a dog or cat I would love to meet them prior to the owner’s leaving for their vacation or work to see if this is a good fit.

“Briona is fantastic! She has been a huge help with walking my dog Charlie. She is genuine, reliable, and communicates well. It's comforting to know Charlie is in great hands during his daily walks.”

“Diana was great with my pup! He sometimes likes to be lazy, but she was able to coax him into a some exercise. She did a great job of keeping me updated of their activity and she sent some great pics! I would definitely recommend!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
