“Cole has been walking our goldendoodle for a close to 3 weeks now, and has been a tremendous help with giving our puppy the exercise he needs. Our pup is always so excited to greet him!”

About: I have experience taking care of dogs for over 10 years. I currently have two dogs, one of which we fostered and eventually adopted. I love dogs! About: I’ve had dogs (and horses!) in my life as long as I can remember! My childhood was spent sharing my home with herding breeds, but I’ve always loved large and giant breeds. As an adult, I became passionate about rescuing retired racing greyhounds. Our family currently includes Moon Pie, a retired racing greyhound, and Moose, a rescue Great Dane. I’m a runner and rower and love to be active with my dogs and will often take one of them for a run with me. I’m also a lifelong equestrian and have volunteered for a horse rescue where I fed, walked, and groomed horses. **services provided outside a 10 mile radius require an additional $5/day travel charge** I work from home full time so have a great deal of daytime flexibility. I’m a morning person and willing to do early hours or mid day walks. My weekends are generally busy but with advance notice I am often able to fit you in. Our dogs at home enjoy walks, jogs, and a fenced in yard. We love hikes in the woods and staying active. I’d love to spend some time outdoors with your pet, too!

“Roger clearly loves dogs - he became instant friends with our little Maltipoo Brody. Roger was dependable and friendly, and we were lucky to have found him. Highly recommended as a dog walker!”

About: I’ve walked and taken care of dogs and cats for 9 years throughout medical school and college, however really have 26 years of experience as I grew up always having dogs and cats around. I’ve taken care of as many as 14 puppies at once! As an added bonus, I can also perform pet CPR. Overall, I just love taking care of pets, and have tons of experience both officially and from growing up with pets. I would love to take long walks with your dog and take care of your pets in any way! I’m currently working on 100% from home and have a completely open schedule with flexible hours, as well as many completely free days with no commitments. My apartment complex has many grassy areas as well as a fenced in dog park. There are sidewalks looping through the whole complex for dog walks as well as a large bike trail right down the street. My home is extremely clean with no other pets or children and plenty of room for a pet to wander.

About: I’ve grown up around puppies and cats and have been caring for pets from a young age, which has given me hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playtime, and basic care. I also currently work with puppies as part of my job, where I care for them daily and make sure they’re healthy, safe, and happy. Being around both dogs and cats every day has helped me understand their needs, personalities, and routines, and I truly love caring for animals. Pet care fits easily into my daily schedule. I’m used to caring for animals every day and am able to plan my routine around feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins. I’m flexible, reliable, and make sure each pet gets the time, attention, and care they need. I care for pets by sticking closely to their usual routines to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. This includes feeding, walks or litter box care, playtime, and plenty of attention and affection. I always make sure pets are safe, well-supervised, and in a clean environment, whether I’m caring for them in my home or in a client’s home. I also keep owners updated and make sure their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away.
“Sean is simply excellent. His communication with us is outstanding and prompt, and if something in our booking needs to change, he’s incredibly proactive. We also love and appreciate the care and attention that he gives to our puppy on their afternoon walks. We’re incredibly lucky to have Sean!”

About: I have owned and cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, and for the past eight years my family has run a dog rescue out of our home. Because of that, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of every size, age, and temperament. I am comfortable with any dog, from playful puppies to seniors. Growing up in a rescue environment taught me how to read dog behavior, build trust quickly, and make sure each dog feels safe and supported. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering basic medications, and managing energetic dogs who need extra exercise. As a pet owner, I know how important communication and updates are. So I will always give regular updates and treat dogs as if they are my own. I have classes at night from 6-9pm Mon-Thursday. I am currently volunteering as a wrestling coach for Wesleyan University, so some of my weekends may be busy or unavailable. Other than that, I am very flexible with my hours. When caring for a pet, it’s important to make sure they feel as comfortable as possible. For me, that means following their routine closely so they always feel safe and secure. I plan to stick to their schedule, maintain their normal habits, and give them the same love and attention they’re used to when their owners are home.
About: I have been a pet owner for 15 years. My dogs have ranged from a small mini poodle to a big Airdale terrier. I currently have a 3 year old poodle who is full of energy! I have experience with administering medication as well as any daily caretaking such as feeding, walking, and bathing. I work in New Haven 4 days a week and Middletown one day a week. During the week, I can do drop ins and walks in the evening. I am available to do drop ins and walks on the weekend all day. I always like to meet the pets before I take on a new client. It’s important for me to familiarize myself with the pet both for my and the pet’s sake. I do this by allowing the pet to smell me and by observing behavior to understand temperament.
About: I have been dog-obsessed (yes, obsessed) since I was a child and always walked dogs around my neighborhood. The animal control officer would even come to me when older folks had high-energy dogs that needed extra exercise to be able to stay comfortably in their homes. I'll never forget Maggie, an energetic and assertive GSD who lived with a lovely older woman. The moment I arrived the woman opened the door and Maggie bolted out. She tried to call her back, but I quickly took out my keys and jingled them which got Maggie's attention and curiosity long enough so I could gently guide her back inside. In college, I worked at a dog training facility teaching puppy obedience and training dogs staying at the day care. I also was a teaching assistant with the the animal science program for two separate canine behavior courses for three semesters. Now I have my own dog, my masters, and am pursuing an animal therapy certification to one day create my own therapy farm so others can experience the joy and healing of being around animals that I have had the privilege of experiencing my whole life. I'm currently working remotely and I make my own schedule for when I see clients. I mostly work Sundays and M-W afternoons/ evenings, but like I said, my schedule is pretty flexible. Dog walking could easily fit into almost time on any day of the week! I will care for your pets the same way I care for my own fur baby. She is family to me just like I know yours is to you. Their health and safety is my top priority at all times with fun and cuddles coming close behind in second place :)
About: I have worked with animals for most of my life, but been in the veterinary field for 22 years. I can administer meds, give injections, and just provide quality compassionate care for your cherished pets. I currently work full time as a vet tech, but I have weekends and Mondays off. I may also be able to provide early morning/afterwork drop ins for things like SQ fluids, insulin injections, feedings, etc. I will love your pets like they are my own! I can take dogs for walks. I have experience with large breeds as well as small. I am extremely detail oriented. I can text pics/video updates or whatever else you need!
“Christine has been walking Brady for quite some time. Brady can be a handful but she is wonderful with him. She has been very flexible and works with my crazy schedules. Highly recommend!!”

Higganum dog parents share their Rover experiences
Taylor was awesome. My pups are very attached to me but also energetic and require a lot of exercise. Due to an injury, I was unable to give them that. Taylor came to the rescue on very short notice. When she arrived, the pups knew I was still in the house and did not want to leave me behind - but Taylor persevered and found the way. They had a good long walk and came back happy - I highly recommend her!
