About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and absolutely love being around animals. I’ve also worked as a dog and cat sitter, helping with walks, feeding, drop-ins, and overnights. I’m very reliable and pay attention to the little details so your pet feels comfortable and cared for. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs, can help with basic puppy training, and am comfortable giving medications if needed. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always try to make it a fun, positive experience, whether that’s a good walk, playtime, or just extra cuddles. I have a flexible work schedule and am able to fit pet care easily into my day. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and some overnights (around my kids schedules), and make sure pets are cared for on a consistent schedule. I’m reliable and always plan ahead so your pet gets the attention and routine they’re used to. I always follow the owner's instructions closely, make sure collars/leashes are secure, and pay attention to any specific needs or behaviors. I’ll also keep you updated so you know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. On walks I always pay attention to my surroundings to keep your dog safe. I'm not there to pay attention to your beloved dog, not get distractes by my phone or anything else.
About: Avid animal lover my whole life. Always had multiple different types of pets growing up. Currently I am lucky enough to have 3 cats, a mini Australian shepard, and fish! Available part time at the moment in the mornings, evenings, or on my days off from my day job. Looking forward to meeting your fur baby! Your pets are my top priority when they are in my care. I would like to know about any allergies, health issues, or potential risks to your pet that might be in or around your home while they are under my supervision. I will be 100% committed and reliable for keeping your pet happy and safe while you are away.

“Briona is fantastic! She has been a huge help with walking my dog Charlie. She is genuine, reliable, and communicates well. It's comforting to know Charlie is in great hands during his daily walks.”

About: My first experience was 5 y.o when I was selected to help train Fidelco search and rescue dogs. From then on, my whole life has been surrounded by animals of all sorts. From going to UCONN for large animal science, to always being the designated pet sitter for friends and family, to now- still doing that, running my own hypoallergenic cattery & working a couple horse barns! I bring years of experience with all sizes, ages, behavioral issues, illnesses and providing medications. Safety is my #1, with an obvious close 2nd, their happiness! I currently work part time at 2 barns, a few days a week, and no longer than 4 hours a day. I also run a cattery at my home, so squeezing in a quick walk or even accepting a night over, on short notice, isn't usually an issue for me! I currently do not offer for other animals to stay at my house, due to having my cattery and my elderly dog, but I'm more than happy to stay at yours and care for your fur-baby!
“I can’t say enough good things about our dog walker. She’s confident and experienced with large dogs and has the energy to keep up with my very high-drive pup, which is no easy task. Reliable, professional, and clearly loves what she does. I highly recommend to anyone, especially with an active dog.”

“Cole has been with us for almost 3 years! He has been extremely reliable, responsible, communicative, and simple an addition to our family. My little Sami wags her tail so happy and fast as soon as she hears his park on the driveway. We are so happy to have found Cole as he loves our Sami like his own!”
About: Hi all! My name is Madison and I have many years of experience taking care of dogs and cats. I grew up with dog loving parents and we had two dogs I grew up with. They both crossed the rainbow bridge and it took years for us to recover. After 6 years without a dog, my mom adopted a German Shepherd who I often dog sit when my mom is away. I currently have my own 10 month old Corgi who is full of energy and two sweet cats. On my free time I also volunteer for Protectors of Animals and do the walking shift with the dogs in the shelter. I would love to provide you with the dedication and care that your animals deserve. I would love to do drop in visits or even a few dog walks when needed. Thank you and I hope to care for your animals soon! I am currently working at an elementary school full time as a paraprofessional and I am looking to take this on as part time on weekends or when school has breaks. In my own home, I care for my pets with such a loving manner. I never want any animal to feel like they are uncomfortable with me. If I needed to take things slow with a dog or cat I would love to meet them prior to the owner’s leaving for their vacation or work to see if this is a good fit.

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for over 10 years and truly enjoy spending time with animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m patient, dependable, attentive to routines, and comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and energetic dogs.” I currently work part-time and have a flexible schedule for pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting during weekdays and weekends. I always make time to give pets attention, playtime, exercise, and lots of care so they feel comfortable and loved.” “Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. Over the years I've shared my home with English Mastiffs, a Miniature Pinscher, a Pit Bull, a rescue mixed breed, a German Shepherd, a Tibetan Terrier, and an Alaskan Malamute. I've also cared for cats, ferrets, and lizards. Living with such a wide variety of animals has taught me that every pet has their own personality, needs, and routine. I've cared for pets through every stage of life, from raising puppies and kittens to providing compassionate care for senior pets in their final years. I'm experienced with administering medications, staying patient during treatments, and making sure pets feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Having lived with English Mastiffs and an Alaskan Malamute, I'm very comfortable caring for giant breeds and dogs that require a confident, steady handler. I'm also experienced with strong pullers and understand that consistency, positive reinforcement, and patience go a long way in building trust. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve while you're away. Whether your dog enjoys long walks and playtime or prefers a slower pace and extra cuddles, I'm happy to adapt to their individual needs and routine. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care, and I'll treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pet is safe, happy, and cared for with the same love and attention I'd give my own animals. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to adapt to your pet's routine, whether they need regular walks, playtime, medication, or simply extra companionship throughout the day. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care that helps your pet feel comfortable and gives you peace of mind while you're away. Every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and respected in their own environment. I carefully follow your instructions and maintain your pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and playtime. I believe trust is earned through patience and consistency, so I always let pets become comfortable at their own pace while providing attentive, compassionate care. I also treat every client's home with the same respect and care I would expect in my own.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Higganum. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Higganum.

- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
