About: Growing up in a dog-loving household, I developed a deep connection with canines from an early age. My proudest experience was raising my own corgi from puppyhood, learning all aspects of responsible pet ownership. This hands-on experience taught me everything from training and grooming to understanding unique breed characteristics. Combined with helping care for my parents' dogs, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of dog behavior, daily care routines, and the importance of consistent, loving attention. As a student with a flexible schedule, I'm available consistently on weekends and most weekday afternoons. I carefully plan my pet care commitments around my classes to ensure dedicated, unrushed time with each pet. I can provide morning walks, midday check-ins, and extended playtime sessions, always prioritizing the pets' routines and needs. I prioritize creating a safe and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. When visiting clients' homes, I follow their specific care instructions meticulously and maintain regular updates through photos and messages. I ensure all doors are secured, maintain a clean environment, and keep pets on their regular feeding and exercise schedules. I also have pet first-aid knowledge for added peace of mind.

About: I love little dogs! I enjoy connecting with them and getting to know their quirky little personalities. I grew up with a toy poodle and have helped with my neighbors' dogs over the past 7+ years, walking them, hanging out with them during the day, and keeping them overnight or even for a week. I also have a sweet mini aussiedoodle, Murphy, who loves dogs and people. I work part-time and mostly from home, and have a lot of flexibility right now. I can do one-time gigs and would love to build ongoing relationships! I give doggos a lot of personalized attention and try to anticipate their needs. I'm good at reading the vibe and knowing if a dog needs more or less of something. I am very safety conscious and will follow whatever guidance you offer, and communicate with you as much as you like!

About: ***IMMEDIATE JACK LONDON SQ ONLY FOR WALKS/DROP-INS PLEASE *** Trust is everything, especially when it comes to caring for our pups! I believe ALL dogs are stars with their own unique "genre" (Punk, EDM, R&B, Rock, Pop, easy listening) and let's face it, this is how they crack us up on a daily basis! I believe positive reinforcement, but also Cesar's Way (exercise, discipline, affection) and include lots of playfulness in the process (solo or with my pup - your preference). I enjoy assisting in ongoing training (how to improve walking on a leash, how to look good for their "Dogs playing poker" portrait, etc) while in my care. Whether it be for a brief stay or a brisk walk (A tired dog is a happy dog!) I can't wait to meet your fluffy family member and help ease your mind while you are away from them. I have worked with dogs that may be fearful or have anxiety (many often confuse with being "aggressive" when this is not the case). Being attentive on our walks at all times is paramount...I'm not one who focuses on looking at my phone constantly (unless I'm taking pics of our walk to send to you!) while letting your pup pick up or eat something they shouldn't. Many thanks! I currently work from home and have flexibility to work with local dogs for walks/drop-ins in the Jack London Square area and boarding (near or far). I have a large fenced patio and is easy to monitor the fur monsters if they want to enjoy the outdoors a bit during their day.

About: I’ve always had a natural connection with dogs, and something I hear a lot is I somehow bond with every pup I meet. I’m really good at picking up on how dogs are feeling, which helps me create a relaxed and comfortable vibe for them. Whether it’s an energetic puppy or a senior dog needing a little more loving, I know how to tailor my approach to meet their needs. As a sitter, I combine patience, understanding, and a trainer's mindset to make sure both the dog and their owner feel supported and confident. Currently my schedule and work life is flexible and I have the ability to work from home. So as long as scheduling is communicated and planned with enough notice, I can adjust accordingly. I enjoy an active lifestyle, so if needed I have no issues with taking your pet out for a long walk, hike, or day out. I currently have a car and will be able to mobilize to go to and from destination to destination, but I also live nearby a couple of parks and the lake which allows options depending on a dogs social capacity. In my home life, I've been a pet sitter for a handful of my friends' dogs so I am well equipped with toys, beds, bowls, bags, brushes/ pretty much everything someone needs when pet sitting. My house is a very pet friendly home and, if anything, it feels a little more complete with an extra four-legged friend here.

About: Hi my name is Samantha (Sam) and I’m 32 years old and live in Oakland. I have two years work experience at a doggy daycare/kennel. My companion and best friend crossed over the rainbow bridge this past April after eleven and half years together. I also have a car, a flexible schedule, and a knack for dogs. I promise to responsibly love and care for your pet so you don’t need to worry while you’re away! Feel free to ask me questions so I can get to know you and your pet :) * If you are rebooking a service, my price will stay the same as the original booking. I work around the east bay area and have my hand in all sorts of honey pots! I rarely work more than 6 hours total a day, and no more than 3 to four hours at a time. An average potty time walk would be anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. I try make time for one leisure walk a day which lasts to a minimum an hour. Cuddle/play time is a must! I have a lot of breaks throughout the day to check in and give your pet the attention it deserves. I love long walks and snuggle sessions. Animals like routine, so I try my best to keep their routine as normal as possible. If your pet is social and friendly, I would love to incorporate social time with them. “Mary goes above and beyond. I needed an extra day at the last minute and she graciously accepted. She also a great photographer so you will have beautiful photos of your pet.”

About: My family’s had 2 Havanese dogs a little over 3 years now and I take care of them regularly when they go out for the night or leave town. In addition I occasionally sit for family friends who have a Yorkie and used to watch a neighbor’s cat when she was still with us. Most animals find me agreeable and I try to be consistent and loving with any younger ones so that they’re shaped into the best possible pets. I’ve recently left my long-term job to focus on watching/walking pets. I do some gig work to make ends meet but my main passion right now is animal care. I have a spacious loft apartment in Chinatown Oakland in a very safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from Lake Merritt. Crating (with one provided for me) in the apartment is an option as well as my sectional couch or rug depending on your animal’s preferences.

About: I’m a former veterinary technician, animal rescue and foster care provider. I’m self-employed with a flexible schedule and enjoy taking walks with dogs, and would like to meet some cool dogs this way to enjoy walks with in the Jack London area of Oakland. I’m also interested in pet sitting in homes with high speed internet in lovely locations. I am self-employed with a flexible schedule and fully remote work, so as long as there is a high speed internet connection, I can work from your home and pace my work around pet care needs. I enjoy taking daily walks or hiking, so if your dog enjoys these, we’re set! I’m experienced at administering medications, affectionate with animals who appreciate such, and am dependable. I also enjoy photography, so you’ll likely receive some sweet new photos of your pets.

“Bryan is great! He is very flexible and gave me consistent updates while I was out of town. I will definitely be booking again and highly recommend his care! I had a stress free trip because of him 😁”

About: I have a 1 year old Husky/Shepard mix that is very cute and extremely well behaved (progressing through service dog training currently). I love dogs and pride myself on reading their body language well and have regularly diffused tense situations at the local dog park. I also love helping with basic training and leash skills. Comfortable with all things puppy and elder. I'm very active and open to long walks and runs if that's what your pup needs! I grew up with a German Shepard mix that I trained (got awards for best trained dog in multiple classes!). I was also the neighborhood dog sitter, mostly caring for Bernese Mountain and Goldens. I don't have a dog right now (planning to adopt when I move to a more conducive apartment). I have fostered with One Tail At a Time (mostly pittie mixes), and regularly dog sit (both walks and staying overnight) multiple friends' dogs. I am working on a startup and as a boxing coach currently. I have lots of flexibility outside of the classes I coach, which vary times slightly week to week. I don't currently accept additional pets in my home. I'm flexible with however an owner prefers their pet cared for in their own home - comfortable with or without use of a crate, taking walks vs backyard, etc.

“Tea was fantastic in taking care of my cat over a holiday break. He doesn't take kindly to all strangers but he warmed up to her and was very well taken care of. Your pet will definitely be in good hands!”

About: I had a full grown cat in my crib as a baby, my parent's told me I would feed it my bottle. I moved to SC to live with my grandmother when I was young. She was a nurse and spent a lot of time helping the local animal shelter. At most, 20 kittens or puppies would be at her house. Usually the animals were malnourished or sick, she would try to get them healthy enough to adopt. That's probably why I love cats and dogs as much as I do. I've adopted 2 dogs, 1 cat from the humane society as an adult. The first dog I adopted was a feral puppy, I adopted him bc I wanted to see why my grandmother never would allow feral animals in her home. I had him for 14 wonderful years but it did take a lot of training and patience. The last dog I owned was a 1 year old pit from a kill shelter. I was able to train this dog not to bite and protect it's owner without biting. I love pets, I know more than your regular person on what types of food/treats to give a dog. For example, if your dog eats a couple pecans, that's bad news. I also know people can be very particular of what they want their animals eating, even if it's a treat. I'd never give someone else's pet a treat without their consent. My job revolves around fixing coffee machines and that business isn't as busy as it used to be prior to the pandemic. I have plenty of free time and I understand how important a routine is in young dogs/cats and I'm willing to help out in any way I possibly can. Currently my roommate has a dog that isn't friendly around other dogs, it's a 9 year old Shiba, and I've learned those breeds are some of the most stubborn dogs. I feed this dog, wash her, and trim du claws and nails. When my roommate is out of town, I let the dog sleep in my bed even though I can't stand how much she sheds. I have a clean background, I've never been in trouble for stealing bc my parents brought me up not to do that. Prior to moving out to CA to work on coffee machines, I spent 17 year's working for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage department. I didn't love my job which is why I'm out here now. My roommate I've known since high school, he'll confirm you won't have to worry when you're out of town.

2. Kathy P.
“Kathy is definitely my favorite dog sitter I’ve ever hired. She has watched my dog on several occasions, the last one for about 2 weeks. During that time, she sent me consistent updates on how my dog was and pictures of what they were doing, and maintained reliable communication with me on a regular basis, which definitely relieved a lot of my stress and anxiety from leaving my dog with someone else. Above all, Kathy is very sweet and trustworthy, and my dog absolutely loves her. I strongly recommend Kathy to anybody who wants the best for their pets.”

3. Sidney F.
“So responsive and fabulous. Loved so much by our dog. Very grateful”

6. Kye O.
“I've had nothing but positive experiences with Kye watching my sweet, elderly pup Lulu. Kye has a gentle, warm demeanor with animals and people alike, and Lulu (who is normally quite shy and skittish) quickly grew to love spending time with him. He is communicative and responsive, has no problem handling Lulu's intense medication schedule (including administering topical eye medications three times a day), sends me cute pictures of my pup throughout, and always leaves my house even cleaner than when I left it. I highly recommend Kye to watch your pets, they will be in great hands.”

7. Fuliang X.
“Fulinag was amazing with our senior Golden Retriever, Daisy! He has arthritis and needs extra attention, but he made him feel right at home. He sent us daily updates with photos and made sure he took all his medications on schedule. The enclosed yard was perfect for his gentle exercise needs. We're so grateful to have found such a caring and professional sitter.”

8. Parker D.
“Parker is phenomenal. I have a very sensitive dog and she always treated him with great care and attention. My dog loved being with her. She would keep him overnight and walk him when I was running late from work. Her home was my dogs second home and he trusted her as family. Parker was really good at paying attention to his needs and meeting them. She also respected Kevin’s dietary needs and followed our diet plan. Parker is a gem and I highly recommend her.”

9. Garret P.
“He has a natural way with animals, always patient and gentle, and they seem to instantly feel at ease around him. Garret has watched my pets multiple times, and I’ve always returned to happy, well-cared-for animals. He’s reliable, communicative, and genuinely loves what he does. I’d recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable sitter or walker who treats your pets like family.”

10. Gregory R.
“I relied on Greg to provide a safe and affectionate environment for almost two years before I moved to Southern California. My pup, Frankie, came from the shelter with a fear of men which made finding a pet sitter a challenge. I once asked my male neighbor to walk my dog as a favor, and he was afraid that my nutty little Spaniel was going to bite him! In contrast, Frankie never ever feared Greg, and that gave me peace of mind when I dropped him off. Greg was also cognizant of Frankie's sensitivities and took care to not expose him to fearful situations unnecessarily. Frankie loved going to Greg's -- even saying Greg's name around the house elicited ear perking and head tilting. Greg's dog, Theo, is a big lovebug and played well with Frankie, too. Greg is a dog lover of all sizes and will care for your fur baby like family. I never had to worry that my fur baby was going to miss his meals, his medication, or come home dirty or traumatized. If you are looking for a reliable and caring dog caregiver, I highly recommend Greg without any reservations.”

11. Luis S.
“Luis absolutely loves animals, and he'll spoil your pet with so much care and attention. Luis is patient and generous with his time and energy, and he'll be sure to give your pet a fun vacation while you are on yours! His happiness is in seeing your pet happy, and he definitely goes above and beyond the call of duty.”

12. samantha m.
“Sam as a person is one of the most genuine people I know. My nickname for her is Eliza Thornberry because I’m in awe of how she communicates with animals. Be it dogs, cats, and snakes, they respond so well to her calm , affectionate and observant demeanor. It’s really amazing to watch . Anyone would be lucky to work with a experienced natural like Sam.”

13. Janesta E.
“Janesta is an amazing pet sitter! They are responsible, attentive, and always make sure my pets feel loved and comfortable. I trust them completely with my animals and highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.”

14. Mary G.

“Mary goes above and beyond. I needed an extra day at the last minute and she graciously accepted. She also a great photographer so you will have beautiful photos of your pet.”

15. Stephan M.
“Stephan loves animals and is a very responsible caregiver. He has watched and walked our 2 small havanese and they always greet him with a wag and an excited bark. We have left them with him overnight with great results.”

16. Heather M.
“I have known Heather M for approximately 15 years, and have used her pet sitting services on a number of occasions, but short and long term. She is the best! Not only is she wonderful with my dogs, but she is mature, responsible individual who we totally trust with both dog and house problems that may arise. Her experience as a vet tech has been very helpful when our aging dog had difficulties and she could guide us in determining what course of action to take. I cannot say enough positive about Heather; if you want your time away to be worry free, to know that your pets (and your house) are in the best of hands, there's no one better!”

17. Bryan A.

“Bryan is great! He is very flexible and gave me consistent updates while I was out of town. I will definitely be booking again and highly recommend his care! I had a stress free trip because of him 😁”
