About: I have spent my entire life around animals. My home has been shared with cats, dogs, snakes, birds, a rabbit, an iguana. I was also a veterinarian assistant for over a year. I took care of any and every animal that walked through our doors; cats, dogs, ferrets, birds, rabbits. Animals of all sizes. I walked, fed, bathed and cleaned up after them. I cared for them as if they were my own and will continue to do so with every animal entrusted to my care! I am currently working from home but my schedule can be flexible. I daily job and walk times work around each other so please notify me at least 2 days in advance of your booking date and I will try my best to make it work for you! As stated on my profile, I have a strict 7 day cancellation policy applied and it is automatically enforced by the Rover app. This is due to the nature of my day job as I may need to adjust those hours when scheduling a booking of any kind. Please be mindful of this, thank you. I always make sure their sleeping area is clean and tidy and I always make sure there is available fresh water. Food is given at a schedule dependent on the individuals needs. I give plenty of time for play/attention to ensure that they always feel loved and never lonely. Sometimes they want to be left alone and I respect that as well.

About: I am retired and have recently relocated to northern jersey. I am an avid animal lover. I have always had my own pets. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to my fur baby of 13 1/2 years and am not quite ready to adopt at this time but sincerely miss having an animal in my life. I am helping to care for a dear friend’s cat and although truthfully I am more a "dog" person, I now find myself beginning to appreciate "cats”. Cats are really fascinating (and a lot different) than dogs. I believe that I am a person who you can trust with one of your most prized possessions, your "fur-babies". I love walking, so dog walking is a win win!! Drop in visits are also no problem!! Unfortunately. I am unable to offer pet sitting at this time. I love to walk and especially enjoy walking for a furry companion. Home visits for either dogs and cats are also something I enjoy doing. I am currently unavailable for pet sitting. However, I do prefer walking small or medium dogs and will give them the exercise and/or company they need.

I have had and cared for many different types of pets, including (but not limited to): dogs, cats, birds, hermit crabs, and hamsters. As a 28 year old adult, I now have a sweet dog named Zelda (GSD/Husky mix, 5yrs, 60lbs), whom I adopted at 3 months. I trained her myself and had her fully housebroken with no accidents within 5 months. I have also cared for and assisted in training my mother's dog Sumo (St. Bernard, ~9yrs, 165lbs. With my life experience and graduate degree in psychology, I am very capable of handing whatever comes my way. I look forward to meeting you and your baby! I am working part-time on the weekends and on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursday nights. Therefore, I have a great deal of time to dedicate to your loved ones and make sure they are well cared for! I regularly take my dogs out for relief and exercise in my yard. They get regular feedings and water bowl cleanings to make sure they are well fed and hydrated. When it gets hot, I make sure to add ice cubes to their water, provide them with pupsicles (frozen dog safe ice cream!), and keep the AC running. I always make sure to build in playtime and snuggles to make them feel loved and cared for.
