“Kelly is fantastic! Moved to a new area and had to leave our walker of about 6-7 yrs. My lil’ guy took to her immediately. Phew! And she gives great updates, sends multiple photos and keeps you feeling comfortable while at work. Had an issue at the beginning as I forgot to leave the key. Kelly was great communicating and we were still able to have a walk. She’s conscientious of the weather and warm days to take it easy. Highly recommend!!!! Yay Kelly!!!”

“Talk about a lifesaver! Bria came through for us when we needed her most, taking care of our two dogs on extremely short notice while we visited the aquarium. Her flexibility and willingness to help last-minute truly made our day. Our pups were well-exercised and happy when we returned, which was well appreciated. Communication was excellent throughout, and she sent adorable updates that gave us peace of mind while we were enjoying the aquarium. If you need a trustworthy, responsive, and genuinely caring dog walker, look no further than Bria. We'll definitely be booking her services again!”

“Natalie did a great job walking my reluctant pup (he sometimes needs encouragement to walk). She was on time, sent a detailed report and the icing on the cake is that my picky dog loved her. I will definitely hire Natalie again to walk Sam.”

About: Animals have always been my happy place. From as far back as I can remember, I’ve had the privilege of caring for both cats and dogs, developing a deep bond and understanding of their unique personalities. Having spent years with furry friends, I've learned that every pet has its own quirks and needs, but all of them share one thing in common: a desire for love, attention, and connection. What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my genuine passion and hands-on experience. I'm not just someone who watches pets — I actively engage with them, whether it’s a playful game of fetch, a peaceful cuddle session, or a long walk to explore the world around us. I believe in creating an environment where pets feel safe, loved, and entertained. I’ve never met an animal that didn’t enjoy quality time with their human, and I take pride in giving them the attention they deserve. Whether it’s providing mental stimulation with toys, helping pets burn off energy with exercise, or simply offering companionship, my goal is always to ensure the well-being and happiness of each pet in my care. Their needs come first, and I make sure to listen to both the animals and their owners to create a routine that works for everyone. I’m more than just a pet sitter — I’m a true pet lover. With years of experience and an intuitive understanding of animal behavior, you can trust me to provide your pet with the best care possible. After all, every pet deserves to feel like they’re part of the family. Currently, my daily schedule revolves around taking care of my mom and my own animals, so having a flexible job is crucial. Luckily, pet sitting is the perfect fit for this chapter in my life, allowing me to combine my love for animals with my responsibilities at home I live in a peaceful, pet-friendly community, where I have access to quiet walks and a safe outdoor space. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood or a quick potty break, I ensure your pet gets the fresh air and exercise they need at their own pace. Inside the house, I’ve designed the space to be a cozy retreat for pets. I have a large, comfortable dog carrier for pets who need a quiet space to rest, as well as plenty of soft bedding and safe spots for them to relax and feel secure. I believe in building trust with each animal, which is why I ensure they have access to everything they might need, at any time — from fresh water in every room of my home to ample opportunities for play and attention.

“Again, Megan is our go-to dog walker. We have 2 very different dogs and Megan handles them perfectly. We highly recommend Megan and will use her dog walking services in the future. Thank you again Megan!”

About: New to this site yet for friends and employers, I've done housesitting and pet sitting for years. I've been vetted, background checked and currently on another popular sitting site. I've just relocated back to the area of Monterey, California where I grew up. I love to be out hiking and walking so if your pet needs exercise and the peace that comes with it, I'm your gal! I usually take myself out walking twice a day. Unless your animal needs special care and can't be active, I believe pets should be active because it makes them feel better, same as us. I'm flexible in my work and don't have the sort of hours that would keep me away from your pet for too long. Regular feeding, bathroom breaks, playing and petting are my top priorities. I do a lot of photography and photos of animals are one of my faves. Your pet could be the next Lassie! Safety is also a top priority. I can either drop in on your pet or do overnight stays, weekly stays, etc. I keep pets safe, doors and windows locked, and the place exactly as you left it. I've traveled for years using Airbnb and have great reviews here for you to peruse – thank you hosts!

“Mari is fabulous! Nat was a bit unhappy to be woken from her nap but Mari handled it like the pro she is. They had nice, productive walks and her communication was top notch. She was always on time, gave me a full rundown and she is a lovely person. After meeting with her, I was at ease knowing me sweet senior pup would be well taken care of and I was spot on. I will happily use Mari again and recommend her without hesitation. In fact, I already have some upcoming dates in mind and felt comfortable in booking my next trip knowing my baby would be well taken care of in my absence. Thank you Mari for taking such good care of Nat and being so accommodating.”

About: I have owned dogs since I was about 2 years old and have had experiences with many dogs with different needs. I have taken care of not only my own but friends and families dogs for years, and I will always be happy to meet a new dog! I am working at an internship right now two days a week and will be starting school in about a month however, this month I am free Tuesday’s Wednesday's, Friday’s, as well as the weekends. I take care of my 3 dogs while my parents at work. I walk them twice a day, play with them, let them out 3-4 times a day and make sure to give them plenty of attention.

About: Hello! Leaving your fur child and best friend is incredibly difficult. As a dog owner myself of two fur kids (beautiful German Shepherd and black lab) , I 100% understand that it’s important to get the right person for the job. While I am relatively new to Rover - I’ve been dog sitting for years. I’ve dealt with young pups full of energy, senior citizens in need of shots and meds, dogs who are best as only children and dogs with an abundance of brothers and sisters! My own dogs are 7 and 6 with one requiring medication so I have plenty of experience administering medication to dogs. I enjoy running and walking and can provide either of these options to your pup. I can care for/walk with reactive dogs and understand how to navigate walks with that type of pet too. Currently waiting for my new job to start, I have 2 months of time to kill. I genuinely think dogs are more awesome than people. I am willing to care for pets at your home (can stay in residence or drop in) and am available for walks/runs with your fur child!

Nicole M.
“Nicole is an absolute angel! All my pets love her! I knew her since she lived in Venice, CA and she took care of many fosters that needed special attention. She’s the only person I trust with my dog, Benji. She’s honestly so great with all living creatures. She is gentle, kind, soft, and over-all a great aid. I’ve seen her help dogs that were crippled with anxiety become functional again. Nicole is just a great person. She’s honest and loyal. You can feel safe that she will take care of everything and be a good person while doing it.”

“Denise is wonderful. Super responsive, major dog lover, sensitive to my older dogs needs. 2nd time ive worked with her and will continue to do so in the future🐶”

Danae T.
“Danae is amazing with pets. She is a dog lover who treats animals as if they are her own babies. She has many years experience caring for dogs and I would trust her with my dogs any time. She had even stopped traffic to save a poor defenseless dog that was thrown out on the street, and gave him a loving and caring home. She makes her own dog treats and shares them with me to give to my own fur babies. She is absolutely amazing, and a great dog mama.”

Claire B.
“I am highly recommending Claire. Recently, I had an emergency with two of my dogs. Claire was instrumental in getting them safely away from a petsitter who was unable to care for my pup's wellbeing and safety. Claire handled this most difficult situation with professional expediency, and had the pups settled at her house calm and content within 2 hours of calling her. I commend her not only for her efficiency and competency in handling this situation but also for her general understanding and sensitivity to me throughout this ordeal. - Gwen F. Minneapolis, MN.”

“Mallory was prompt and communicated well. We are already scheduled to use her again.”

Pacific Grove dog parents share their Rover experiences
I had never used Rover before and I was in a pinch needing some dog walking while I spent some of the day in Monterey. Celine was so great with my little guy who can be kind of shy at first, and he was definitely tired by the end of his walk. Super grateful for her quick response and last minute dog walk! :-)

Kelly far surpasses my expectations. My husband, son and I were in town visiting and wanted to take my son to h th e aquarium. I’ve never used rover before but has heard good things. I was anxious about leaving our dog with someone she did not know but she instantly took to her! I was shocked truly because she is picky. It was the best decision and the next time we are in Monterey we will ABSOLUTELY be booking Kelly in advance 💕

QueenE LOVES her visits with Kathleen. She gets so excited on days that Kathleen comes. Kathleen does an amazing job of communicating as well as giving QueenE the enrichment that she needs. QueenE is always so tired after their adventures and loves to tell me all about it when I get home. Seeing her on the cameras after their adventures is so funny - naps full of snores. I recommend Kathleen to anyone who asks about dog walking and pet care.
