About: I love caring for pets of all ages and breeds, from playful puppies to gentle senior dogs and cats. I’m skilled in giving medications, as I care for my own senior dog. I can maintain special diets, and provide physical activity, as well as mental stimulation to keep pets happy and healthy. What sets me apart is my ability to read each animal’s special needs, as I have many pets of my own. I have much patience and compassion when it comes to pets, whether it’s training a puppy, assisting a senior pet with mobility, or simply offering cuddles and attention. I treat each and every pet as my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around feedings, walks, playtime, and check ins to make sure each pet gets consistent attention and care. I’m flexible and reliable, so I can accommodate different routines, whether that’s early mornings, evenings, or special care needs. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy, and I make it a priority, not something I squeeze in. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and playtime instructions closely, while giving plenty of attention and affection. I keep the home tidy, clean up after pets (including litter boxes and feeding areas), and make sure they feel safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is well cared for.
“As previously, Kristina is very responsive, sends multiple pictures, provides timely updates, and plays inside and outside with our two standard poodles. We will definitely use her again.”

About: With 14 animals of my own and over 5 years of pet sitting experience, I truly understand every pet’s unique needs. I’m patient, dependable, and treat every animal like family. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or specialized care, your pet will feel right at home with me. What sets me apart is my deep, hands-on knowledge of animal behavior and genuine passion for giving pets the love and attention they deserve. I currently don’t work anywhere else which gives me plenty of time in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends to focus on pet care. Since animals are a huge part of my life already, caring for pets naturally fits into my daily routine. Whether it’s evening walks, weekend stays, or afternoon check-ins, I’m flexible and committed to making sure your pet feels loved and well-cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their space and routines. I make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I follow all instructions carefully—whether it’s feeding, walks, medications, or playtime—and keep things clean and calm. My goal is to make your pet feel like you’re still there, providing peace of mind for both of you.

“Kitty was fantastic. Our original plans for dog sitting fell through at the last minute and Kitty accepted the job with less than 24 hours notice. She saved us! When she arrived at our home she walked into chaos and had, what I'm sure, felt like 1 million instructions thrown at her all at once. She just rolled with it all. She was wonderful with keeping us updated and sending pictures.”

“Excellent per usual! Gianna is quite accommodating., including on short order! She is caring of Gracie, our Chihuahua-Jack Russel little girl, and shared pics of her with us during the sitting. Gianna is engaging, prompt and fosters fun interactions. Hire her! She will not disappoint you or your pets.”

About: I have worked with many different dogs including dogs who require medication, dogs with anxiety, dogs who are slow to warm up to people and dogs with energetic personalities. I also work very well with cats and have a lot of experience caring for both indoor and outdoor cats. My family has owned pets ever since I was a kid so I have grown up with animals and am very comfortable around them. As an entrepreneur I have a very open schedule. I am available all times of day on weekdays and frequently have availability for weekends. I have some availability for Holliday’s. I closely follow the owners instructions for how they want their house and pets treated while I’m there. If you do not have a yard to let your pets roam free in I am able to take them on walks as often as needed. I follow feeding instructions and I am extra careful to make sure that dogs with special diets get what is needed and don’t receive what they can’t have.
About: I’ve been animal sitting for about a year and a half now I love doggy babies! My experience goes from boarding at the owner’s house for up to three weeks or just drop in visits whatever’s needed of me. I can move my schedule around for you! If your dog likes to chill I can chill if they like to play let’s play! I currently work part-time and I’m not in school so I’m able to move my schedule around to fit the needs of others! As long as it’s the day I have available While I don’t have a dog I’m able to learn whatever is required to be meet your dogs needs. If they need help all I need is for you to tell me how to help them and they’ll be taken care of!
“Grace did great with my dog Stella. Grace spent a lot of time with her and took her on walks which was super helpful especially sense Stella can be a challenge to walk. I would recommend using Grace.”

About: I have had a 4 legged companion nearly my entire life. Dogs and I tend to have a mutual understanding and respect for each other. I have worked with teacup sized all the way to extra large dogs with complete comfort in my ability to communicate with and manage dogs. Most clients decide to keep coming back even if it's just to have a play date in the fenced in yard. I work from home currently with my own attention seeking dog, he would love a friend and I may as well take care of more dogs since it's second nature to me. Depends on what the client wants. I play chase, tug, fetch, "what's that" with my dog. If the weather is nice I will leave the back door open so he can come in and go out as he pleases. Water is always down, treats and food are given by me. I don't have a kennel but if you want your dog to have one I welcome them in my home.
“Amen did a fantastic job caring for our young dog, including an overnight stay. She made sure he got his walks, plenty of attention, and lots of love. It was clear she’s responsible and truly cares about animals. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and would absolutely trust her again.”

“This was my first time leaving my cats, and I was so relieved to find Mckenzie. So grateful to her for her awesome cat sitting! She was extremely friendly and eager to bond with my cats to make them as comfortable as possible while we were gone. She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures and updates, which I really enjoyed. She also left the house spotless. Thanks again McKenzie, I’m sure we will be contacting you again!”

About: I have 5 cats of my own and am very well versed in all cats quirks and personalities. I have a lot of understanding of cat behavior and have a soft spot for all kitties. Weather your cat is standoffish, a social butterfly, a scardy cat, or even a little territorial, I have it handled! I understand cats can have weird needs or care instructions and am willing to do whatever to make your kitty feel safe and cared for. In addition, I have grown up around lot of dogs and understand canine behavior. My family has had a medium size dog since I was 8 and I did most of her training from crate training to teaching her to sit. I am willing to do whatever your dog needs from walks, to playing fetch/exercising, as well as drop by visits or weekend stays. I have a normal 9-5 job Monday through Friday but am able to do weekday visits in the morning and/or evening depending on what your feline requires (weather it be visits before I go to work, after I get off, or later in the night). I will work with you to fit your pet into my schedule and make sure they receive exactly the care they need, weather that's a drop in once a day or longer visits a couple times a day. On weekends I am available around the clock for whatever your kitty may need! I am willing to clean litter boxes, change water dishes, provide feedings, clean food bowls, provide enrichment/play time, perform health monitoring, administer any medications necessary, or any other requests to keep your cats safe and well cared for! Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oxford
Olivia was amazing! My wife and I traveled abroad and we were able to vacation stress-free thanks to her. She is very flexible and ensured that our dog was extremely well taken care of. She gave daily updates, sent pictures, and responded promptly to all communication. She stayed in our home while we were gone and we came back to a clean house just the way we left it. My wife and I are very thankful we were able to take vacation and not have to worry at all about our dog! We will definitely be using her in the future and you should too!

The average cost for House Sitting in Oxford on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Oxford walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Oxford maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Oxford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
