Thomas did a great job walking our dogs and making sure they were taken care of while we were gone for the day. We'll definitely book Thomas again in the future!

Daisy is such a joy to work with. She is so amazing with my dog reactive Great Dane, she always takes extra precautions and steps necessary to make sure their walks are a success and as low stress for both of them as possible. Today, with less than an hour before Harley’s scheduled walk, I threw Daisy for a loop and asked her if she could go to a different house that she’s never been to before to pick Harley up and on top of that, asked if she would mind bringing a friend to walk my stepsister‘s dog who was there with Harley. She had no issue accommodating to these plans and did not even expect to get compensated for the additional time and effort (which I absolutely did anyways). I would highly recommend Daisy to anybody looking for somebody to care for and love their pet! She is so amazing!

Margaret was so wonderful to our baby Bruno! She was punctual in showing up to walk him, communicated with both the house/dog sitter and us while we were on our two week trip. She communicated with us almost daily and included some pics as well. Our dog seemed very happy to be with her as well for his walks. Would highly recommend this reliable and wonderful person!

About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs my whole life. Currently have 4 dogs of my own. One of the 4 is a senior dog. I have done beginning training for puppies before they went to their forever homes. Also have experience with dogs that have health conditions and need daily medication. I currently am taking the summer off of work, so I will have all the time in the day to care for and play with your pets! I will regularly let your dog out. If needed, I have experience with e-collars and how to properly use them. I can also crate your dog.

I always clean up after myself, and I put everything back where I found it.

About: I’ve had a dog my entire life and absolutely love spending time with him. I’ve been watching over neighbors’ and friends’ pets as well, taking them for walks, feeding them, playing with them, and giving them lots of love while their families were away. When I leave my pup, I want nothing more than to know he’s in good hands. I’d love to be that reassurance to you! I work part time, so I will have plenty of free time to do whatever will make your pet feel happy! I have reliable transportation to ensure prompt arrival times. I have one friendly pup to keep your pet company. He’s getting older, so he is super chill and loving. I have a large, soon to be fenced in, yard to play or endless parks in the area to take on a nice walk!

About: I love caring for pets of all ages and breeds, from playful puppies to gentle senior dogs and cats. I’m skilled in giving medications, as I care for my own senior dog. I can maintain special diets, and provide physical activity, as well as mental stimulation to keep pets happy and healthy. What sets me apart is my ability to read each animal’s special needs, as I have many pets of my own. I have much patience and compassion when it comes to pets, whether it’s training a puppy, assisting a senior pet with mobility, or simply offering cuddles and attention. I treat each and every pet as my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around feedings, walks, playtime, and check ins to make sure each pet gets consistent attention and care. I’m flexible and reliable, so I can accommodate different routines, whether that’s early mornings, evenings, or special care needs. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy, and I make it a priority, not something I squeeze in. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and playtime instructions closely, while giving plenty of attention and affection. I keep the home tidy, clean up after pets (including litter boxes and feeding areas), and make sure they feel safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is well cared for.

Tyler and Andrea took my 13 ½-year-old Lab for walks twice a day, morning and evening. Even though the agreement was for 30 minutes, they often walked an extra 10 minutes since my lab is very slow. They were always punctual, communicated clearly, and showed great patience. Walking Veera is not easy at his age, but they never complained and cared for him with kindness. Thank you for taking care of our fur baby while we were sick — it gave us such peace of mind.

About: Hi! I’m a dependable and compassionate pet sitter with hands on experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities. During high school, I worked at an animal hospital where I learned about animal behavior, handling techniques, and the importance of providing attentive, individualized care. In addition to my experience, I’ve cared for many dogs and cats through pet sitting and understand how important it is to keep pets comfortable, safe, and happy while their owners are away. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a senior companion, or anything in between, I’m committed to treating them like family. Because I work from home, I have the flexibility to provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, and regular updates throughout the day. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is receiving loving, reliable care in a safe environment. I work from home full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. Because I’m home, your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will receive plenty of companionship, potty breaks, playtime, meals, and attention. I can also easily accommodate your pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable while you’re away. I believe every pet deserves individualized care based on their personality and routine. I take the time to get to know each pet so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure their needs are met. I follow all feeding schedules, administer medications if needed, keep litter boxes and living areas clean, and provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own.

About: Get to know me: Hi!!!! My name is Gianna. I've taken care of dogs big and small since I was a child. With 3 pups at home right now giving me years of experience with dogs young and old. I have had breeds such as French bulldogs, pit bulls, and chihuahuas personally, but have cared for many others! Family and friends have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pups. My job is to care for your pup as if it were my own, making sure they are happy and well cared for. Schedule: I am back home after college and still working on some job hunting so my schedule is very open as of now. If and when i do get a job it will most likely be a regular 9-5 position! Safety, care, and environment: When it comes to a clients home I have a range of questions to better prepare myself for the best care. I will ask for a feeding, walking, and potty schedule for your pup to better care for their needs. Information like how much food the pup gets, is the pup friendly with other pups is also a must have! I will ask for permission before walking with multiple pups, and always check fence gates before letting pups out. Nonetheless I will always keep you updated with cute pictures and videos and I will always leave a home better than I arrived!

About: I have 21 years of comfortability around pets (since I was born) and 3 years of professional pet sitting experience with both dogs & cats :). I have experience with senior pets, puppies, and kittens. I have a part time job where shifts may be up to 8 hours. If you are interested in me sitting for you, be aware I may need to be away from the house for 8-9 hours for work. But this is usually only 3-4 days a week and shifts may even be shorter like 4-7 hours. Outside of my work schedule I dedicate all remaining time to caring for your pets! I treat my pets with love, care, and as a part of my family! I would do the same with your pets to make them feel as safe and at home as possible.

  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
