This was the first time we used Christina and she was awesome. Did everything as promised, kept our house tidy from our cat, and followed our detailed instructions for him carefully. He has some health issues and needs special foods and medications and she did a great job. Will be using her again! Thank you!

Kerry was so great! She did an initial meet and greet first which I much appreciated. She let me know when she arrived and kept me updated the whole time while she was with my dog. Amazing job and would definitely ask her to do it again if needed!

Molly was great! My cat is very shy with newcomers. I fully expected her to not come out when Molly visited but my cat immediately warmed up to her. It felt great to know that my cat was having fun and getting her daily cuddles when I was away. I also loved how Molly would send pictures after every visit. I would definitely recommend Molly.

About: Dogs make every day better, and I'd love to make your pup's day just as fun! Whether it's walks, playtime, or cuddles, I'll care for your dog like they're my own. I work 7-3 daily, come home for lunch every single day. I am at home for the rest of the day, I am active and live in a suburban area where there is a dog park, lots of trails and grass too! Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover who believes every pup deserves plenty of love, exercise, and attention. Whether your dog loves long walks, games of fetch, or just relaxing with belly rubs, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I can't wait to meet your furry best friend and become their new favorite human (after you, of course!). 🐶💕

About: I’ve been taking care of pets for 3 years. I have 6 of my own currently, 3 dogs and 3 guinea pigs. I love walking and hiking and I love to have puppy buddies that tag along. I am serious about checking for ticks especially with the rising amount this season so the owner is aware as soon as possible. I have full afternoons open almost every day of the week, this gives me something to work on in my free time, and what better way to spend my free time than with dogs! With my consistent schedule, it makes checking in with your pet easy. I can almost always fill any special requests your pup needs. I will always make sure their water is full and clean and have them all set when you get home

About: **Currently lowering my rates as a temporary promotion while I build up my clientele! I have years of local pet care experience!** I’ve been watching pets since I was a teenager. I love animals and am very experienced. I love playing and cuddling with them. Whatever their energy level is I am happy to match. I have two dogs at home. Rosie is a springer so she has a lot of energy. She requires lots of walks and cuddles. Emma is a senior and she takes daily oral medication. They both require lots of attention so I am very experienced helping with animals that have specific needs. I am very attentive to what your pet needs. My dogs are super high maintenance so any level of care needed I am prepared for in making sure your animal is happy.

About: I’ve had the pleasure to be surrounded by animals my entire life! I’ve had dogs since I was five, beginning with a high-energy English Springer Spaniel, and now have had and trained two adorable rescue corgis for the past two years. Beyond my own pets, friends and neighbors have relied on me to pet-sit their furry friends over the years! Being around animals is my happy place and I will always treat your pets as my own. I am available for walks and check-in’s with your pets during the daytime, evenings, and weekends. I am very flexible to accommodate you and your pets. Having years of experience with dogs and other animals, their safety and well-being is my #1 priority. I will make sure that your pet is comfortable, cared for, and happy. I understand that pets have their own personalities and needs, and will accommodate my care to them!

About: I have been a part time dog sitter, cat sitter, house sitter, etc since I was 10 years old. I've also been a volunteer at my local animal shelter since I was 15. I've taken care of old dogs, young dogs, energetic dogs, couch potato dogs, friendly dogs, shy dogs, big dogs, small dogs, you name it. I've been doing this a long time and I've gotten really good understanding each pet and their individual needs. Every dog is different, and I love them all. I also have experience with dogs who need medications and ear drops, and I am Red Cross certified in Pet First Aid! I provide pet care full time, helping owners have peace of mind when they have to leave their buddies behind for a trip, or to go to work, it makes me happy knowing I can help out people and animals who could use an extra set of hands. I have an active personal life, always making plans friends and family, but offering services on here allows me to plan my leisure time around times I'm needed for pet care. Firstly, I want to say I understand meeting people online and inviting them into your home can be very anxiety inducing, and I want to reassure you that with me, your pet, your house, and your belongings are safe. If you have ANY questions or concerns, please let me know. I'm here to help answer anything that could cause you worry. Your pets are part of the family and I understand staying safe is a priority. When I personally am trusted to stay in someone's home, I usually stick around the same area of the house out of habit. I keep food where it belongs to prevent mishaps, and keep things off the floor to prevent injuries of their me or pets. When going for walks I like to stick to trails or sidewalked areas that have decent cell reception, just in case. I keep treats with me, extra bags, and have a phone holder for my wrist so I can have a hand free, especially for dogs who get excited from wildlife and could suddenly pull really hard anytime. I keep a pop up bowl and a bottle for water breaks. Before going for longer walks I touch test the path in case they are too hot. I also have experience putting jackets on dogs in the colder months.

About: I am an experienced animal caregiver and dedicated animal love! Not only have I had pets my entire life; but I actually to went to college to learn more about them! My first Bachelor's degree is from Michigan State University and is in Animal Science and Biotechnology. My passion is loving and caring for others - especially those who cannot speak for themselves - like animals! I have experience working in a veterinary clinic as an assistant and receptionist, as well as experience working on a dairy farm and with a multitude of animals. I have the skill set to administer medications for pets that need it as well as care for ill or elderly pets as it occurs. I'm available to do drop-ins and walks on days when I am not working. I am ready to care for your pets as I care for mine! If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to message or call me! I live in the Oxford/Lake Orion area and work 3days/week at a local hospital. Nursing is my full time job but I still enjoy loving and caring for animals and pets. I try to make my personal and work schedule accommodate the care and beds of your pet. We have a fenced in yard with lots of grass and space for dogs to run around and play. Our home is a tri-level so comfortability with stairs as well as wood or carpet floors is helpful.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Oxford stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oxford. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
