Watch them carefully for signs of anxiety. Talk and touch them to assure them they are ok, and I am their friend. Make them comfortable with something that reminds them of home. About: I have been a part time dog sitter, cat sitter, house sitter, etc since I was 10 years old. I've also been a volunteer at my local animal shelter since I was 15. I've taken care of old dogs, young dogs, energetic dogs, couch potato dogs, friendly dogs, shy dogs, big dogs, small dogs, you name it. When I personally am trusted to stay in someone's home, I usually stick around the same area of the house out of habit. I keep food where it belongs to prevent mishaps, and keep things off the floor to prevent injuries of their me or pets. When going for walks I like to stick to trails or sidewalked areas that have decent cell reception, just in case. I keep treats with me, extra bags, and have a phone holder for my wrist so I can have a hand free, especially for dogs who get excited from wildlife and could suddenly pull really hard anytime. I keep a pop up bowl and a bottle for water breaks. Before going for longer walks I touch test the path in case they are too hot. I also have experience putting jackets on dogs in the colder months.

I’m available for drop in visits and dog walks during the day and can work around your pet’s usual routine and schedule. During drop in visits, I will always follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine. I’ll make sure they have fresh water, food if needed, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’ll also make sure your pet and home are safe and secure before I leave.

She is so amazing with my dog reactive Great Dane, she always takes extra precautions and steps necessary to make sure their walks are a success and as low stress for both of them as possible. Today, with less than an hour before Harley’s scheduled walk, I threw Daisy for a loop and asked her if she could go to a different house that she’s never been to before to pick Harley up and on top of that, asked if she would mind bringing a friend to walk my stepsister‘s dog who was there with Harley. She had no issue accommodating to these plans and did not even expect to get compensated for the additional time and effort (which I absolutely did anyways). I would highly recommend Daisy to anybody looking for somebody to care for and love their pet! She is so amazing!”
