“I am so extremely grateful right now. Hunter is the best match for my dog snow. Thank you so much for everything that you’re doing for me. I cannot even begin to thank you enough.”

About: Hi, I’m Katie 👋🏻 Caring for dogs isn’t just something I love; it’s what I do every single day! I currently work as a Shift Leader at a very busy dog boarding and daycare facility, where I’ve had the privilege of working with dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, temperaments, and personalities. I’m also experienced with medication administration of all kinds and following detailed care routines, so you can feel confident your dog’s needs will be taken seriously while you’re away. You can expect plenty of updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry friend is safe, happy, and being well cared for. Have questions or a specific need for your pup? Feel free to send me a message! I’d love to learn more about your dog and see how I can help. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend(s)! ❤️ My work schedule at my kennel job is posted 1–3 weeks in advance, which makes it easy for me to plan around bookings and provide reliable care. Whenever I’m not at work, I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and other pet care needs. On my days off, I have extra flexibility and can spend more one-on-one time with your pup, whether that means longer walks, extra playtime, or simply giving them ALL of the attention and companionship they deserve. Overnight stays are accepted on a case by case basis depending on my work schedule. During walks and drop-in visits, my focus is on safety, enrichment, quality of care, and making sure your pet gets the attention they need. Whether that means a long walk, playtime in the yard with some toys, or a good cuddle session, I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. I always aim to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. Before each booking, I’ll get to know their schedule, feeding routine, exercise needs, medications (if applicable), and any behavioral quirks or preferences. I’m trained in canine first aid and CPR, and my experience in a busy boarding and daycare facility has taught me how to stay calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations.

“Delanie is so sweet and was an instant connection with our sweet boy! She's very affectionate with him and takes great care of him! We appreciate her knowing we don't have to worry about him while we're out!”

“Mckenzie is awesome! Super grateful for her help. She did a drop in visit for my pup and 2 cats, made sure they were set for the night and as always, sent pictures of the pets. Love that my fur babies have a new friend who we’re anll able to fully trust. Thanks again!”

“Brittany was so friendly and caring with Boo Kitty. She came as scheduled and took care of feeding and cleaning litter boxes as well as spending a little time with Boo Kitty. I loved the pictures she took and sent to me. She did a great job and I highly recommend Brittany, she is our go to cat sitter.”
“Victoria is a wonderful sitter. My cats are comfortable with her. She keeps me updated and all the happenings and sends me pictures. I have already recommended her to my neighbors.”

“Allie did a beyond incredible job with our two cats! One is very shy and wow Allie had Peanut out and playing on like day 2! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
