About: I stand out as a pet sitter due to my expertise in both training puppies and providing compassionate care for senior pets. My commitment to meeting the unique needs of each furry friend sets me apart from other sitters. Currently home for summer break from MSU! I have a part-time job serving in my area but my heart truly lies with taking care of your furry friends :) In my care, I prioritize a comfortable environment, regular exercise, and personalized attention. I tailor my services to meet your pet's specific needs, ensuring a home-away-from-home experience that keeps them happy and secure!
About: With 14 animals of my own and over 5 years of pet sitting experience, I truly understand every pet’s unique needs. I’m patient, dependable, and treat every animal like family. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or specialized care, your pet will feel right at home with me. What sets me apart is my deep, hands-on knowledge of animal behavior and genuine passion for giving pets the love and attention they deserve. I currently don’t work anywhere else which gives me plenty of time in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends to focus on pet care. Since animals are a huge part of my life already, caring for pets naturally fits into my daily routine. Whether it’s evening walks, weekend stays, or afternoon check-ins, I’m flexible and committed to making sure your pet feels loved and well-cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their space and routines. I make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I follow all instructions carefully—whether it’s feeding, walks, medications, or playtime—and keep things clean and calm. My goal is to make your pet feel like you’re still there, providing peace of mind for both of you.
About: I’ve always had a love for animals and a natural instinct for taking care of them. I’ve pet sat my uncle’s dog several times, making sure they were walked, fed, and felt at home while he was away. I also watched over my parents’ Great Dane for a full week while they were on their anniversary trip — managing meals, walks, and plenty of cuddle time with a 150-pound gentle giant. Whether it’s a high-energy pup or a chill senior dog, I treat every pet with patience, care, and respect. You can count on me to show up, follow instructions, and make your pet feel safe and loved. I'm currently searching for employment, so I'm available anytime. Seeking to make some money on the side while job hunting. What better way than to do what i love - spend time with animals I have a fully fenced backyard on a 23-acre property, and three friendly dogs who love meeting new buddies. Your pet will have space to play and relax safely. I can easily crate your dog if needed, follow any feeding or medication instructions, and always make sure your fur baby feels safe, comfortable, and cared for like they’re part of the pack.
About: I have experience in pet care in a veterinary clinic, kennel care, and volunteering at a shelter. I also have experience with all sorts of pets in my personal life including dogs, cats, reptiles, and rodents. Im currently unemployed and looking to fill the time with some playtime and some doggie kisses! I am available 7 days a week, all throughout the day. I care for my miniature pinscher like shes my child. She came from a traumatic home as a puppy and I have been working with her to get over fears and anxieties that come with that and having little dog syndrome. We take daily walks weather permitting and multiple play times throughout the day with her favorite squeaks. She also has digestive issues so I homemake her food monthly so she stays healthy!
“Courtney was FANTASTIC. I’m a first time user, and she was incredibly patient and kind with me as I navigated the intricacies of booking for the first time. Our sweet Sarah was well taken care of and loved. Thank you again, Courtney!!!”

“Molly was amazing! Both of my cats warmed up to her very quickly, and one of them is generally very skittish. Molly made sure they were fed, watered, cleaned up their litter box and gave them lots of love and attention. She gave me updates and photos with each visit. I will absolutely be booking with Molly again!”
About: I love working with animals! I work at a pet boarding facility so I am very experienced when it comes to handling and taking care of a variety of pets. I have taken care of cats and dogs of all ages. I currently have 5 cats and 2 dogs of my own. I’m a huge animal lover and like to describe myself as an animal whisperer! I am an online graduate student, so I have lots of time on my hands to pet or house sit. I am available most weekdays and weekends and am willing to stay at the location of the the house if needed! I am great at following directions. Whatever instructions are given to help keep your pet safe I will make sure they are met! I bond with animals very easily so I will make sure your pet has a great time, even if they miss you!
“Rebecca was SO good with our boys! They don't love strangers but she was so patient with them. She arrived on time and spent some quality time with them and followed all of our feeding instructions perfectly. We will be using her again in the future.”

“Victoria has watched our kitties multiple times and does a fabulous job! We had a health scare shortly before we were leaving for our trip and she kept such a good eye on my cat and stayed in contact with me about how he was doing at each visit which really helped ease my worries and anxiety. She is so sweet & kind! Would highly recommend if you need a trusted sitter! Thanks so much again! 💓”

About: I have loved animals from a very young age, convincing my parents to get me my own dog when I was 10 years old. Her name was Zoey! I trained her myself, and she was my best friend. Not long after that, I began dog sitting for friends and eventually also spent time cat sitting and taking care of animals like chickens and bunnies. I adore pets of all shapes and sizes, and I understand entirely the immense value they have in our lives. I want nothing more than to make you feel safe allowing me to care for your best friends. I am occupied from 8am to 6pm Monday through Friday, but I am free most weekends and available to care for pets in the evenings. I make sure all animals are well fed and watered as fits their schedule. Also, I understand the importance of activity and quality time and make sure to play with them, take them on regular walks, and give them lots of love.

“Delanie is so sweet and was an instant connection with our sweet boy! She's very affectionate with him and takes great care of him! We appreciate her knowing we don't have to worry about him while we're out!”

Including grooming, cleaning up after, administering medicine, feeding, etc. I have cared for animals from the moment they are born until old age. I am currently doing Rover full-time and look forward to meeting your beloved pets. I will love and care for your animal as though it is my own. I will also respect all house rules and make sure your pet is fed, getting enough exercise, and update you regularly. I will stay and play with your pet it will never be a check in and leave.

About: I have 5 cats of my own and am very well versed in all cats quirks and personalities. I have a lot of understanding of cat behavior and have a soft spot for all kitties. Weather your cat is standoffish, a social butterfly, a scardy cat, or even a little territorial, I have it handled! I understand cats can have weird needs or care instructions and am willing to do whatever to make your kitty feel safe and cared for. In addition, I have grown up around lot of dogs and understand canine behavior. My family has had a medium size dog since I was 8 and I did most of her training from crate training to teaching her to sit. I am willing to do whatever your dog needs from walks, to playing fetch/exercising, as well as drop by visits or weekend stays. I have a normal 9-5 job Monday through Friday but am able to do weekday visits in the morning and/or evening depending on what your feline requires (weather it be visits before I go to work, after I get off, or later in the night). I will work with you to fit your pet into my schedule and make sure they receive exactly the care they need, weather that's a drop in once a day or longer visits a couple times a day. On weekends I am available around the clock for whatever your kitty may need! I am willing to clean litter boxes, change water dishes, provide feedings, clean food bowls, provide enrichment/play time, perform health monitoring, administer any medications necessary, or any other requests to keep your cats safe and well cared for! I have a background with sick animals and have previously administered daily shots or oral medications to my own pets, so I am able to provide a wide range of medical care if your cat requires such.
“Yvonne is such a caring sitter! Mavis is very cautious of people and she warmed up to Yvonne instantly ❤️ thank you for taking such good care of our fur baby while we were gone. 10/10 would chose Yvonne to watch my pet/s again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Metamora. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
