“I always book with Jen last minute because of my work schedule and she always finds a way to make herself available to walk or just keep Sidney company if it is too warm out. I always trust her judgement with this and I appreciate how she cares for her. I highly recommend Jen if needing Rover's services!”

“I am extremely grateful for this dog walker. I cannot express it enough. I’m having to regenerate my nerves right now. I’m going to keep this dog walker for as long as I need. I am extremely blessed right now. Thank you Hunter for every single thing that you do. God bless you, sir.”

About: I’ve always loved being around animas, I have experience of animal care of well over 10 years. From horses, to dogs, cats, to rabbits. I am very comfortable being around big and small animals! I am currently babysitting a few days during the week: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (rarely Wednesdays) from 1-6pm. I am usually very flexible with my schedule and always make an attempt to work things out! I will always make sure your pet has fresh, clean water and always goes potty! I always clean up after myself, and I put everything back where I found it.
About: My journey in dog care began at a board and train facility, where I had the privilege of working closely with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I've gained invaluable experience in understanding and meeting the unique needs of each dog under my care. Whether it's administering medication, following dietary guidelines, or simply providing plenty of belly rubs, I pride myself on going above and beyond to ensure the well-being and happiness of every dog I encounter. I am currently a stay at home mom. I am home most days with my both of my children (4yrs & 1.5 yrs) and our dog. As a dog parent myself, I understand the bond that forms between humans and their furry friends, and I strive to provide the same level of care and devotion to every dog in my care.
About: With 14 animals of my own and over 5 years of pet sitting experience, I truly understand every pet’s unique needs. I’m patient, dependable, and treat every animal like family. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or specialized care, your pet will feel right at home with me. What sets me apart is my deep, hands-on knowledge of animal behavior and genuine passion for giving pets the love and attention they deserve. I currently don’t work anywhere else which gives me plenty of time in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends to focus on pet care. Since animals are a huge part of my life already, caring for pets naturally fits into my daily routine. Whether it’s evening walks, weekend stays, or afternoon check-ins, I’m flexible and committed to making sure your pet feels loved and well-cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their space and routines. I make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I follow all instructions carefully—whether it’s feeding, walks, medications, or playtime—and keep things clean and calm. My goal is to make your pet feel like you’re still there, providing peace of mind for both of you.

“Kerry has been SO great! She walks our puppy once a day during the week while we are at work. Kerry is very prompt and provides updates (including pictures!) that make us feel so comfortable while we are away. She is very trustworthy and we know we can count on her to take care of our baby! I highly recommend Kerry!”

About: I have been a part time dog sitter, cat sitter, house sitter, etc since I was 10 years old. I've also been a volunteer at my local animal shelter since I was 15. I've taken care of old dogs, young dogs, energetic dogs, couch potato dogs, friendly dogs, shy dogs, big dogs, small dogs, you name it. I've been doing this a long time and I've gotten really good understanding each pet and their individual needs. Every dog is different, and I love them all. I also have experience with dogs who need medications and ear drops, and I am Red Cross certified in Pet First Aid! I provide pet care full time, helping owners have peace of mind when they have to leave their buddies behind for a trip, or to go to work, it makes me happy knowing I can help out people and animals who could use an extra set of hands. I have an active personal life, always making plans friends and family, but offering services on here allows me to plan my leisure time around times I'm needed for pet care. Firstly, I want to say I understand meeting people online and inviting them into your home can be very anxiety inducing, and I want to reassure you that with me, your pet, your house, and your belongings are safe. If you have ANY questions or concerns, please let me know. I'm here to help answer anything that could cause you worry. Your pets are part of the family and I understand staying safe is a priority. When I personally am trusted to stay in someone's home, I usually stick around the same area of the house out of habit. I keep food where it belongs to prevent mishaps, and keep things off the floor to prevent injuries of their me or pets. When going for walks I like to stick to trails or sidewalked areas that have decent cell reception, just in case. I keep treats with me, extra bags, and have a phone holder for my wrist so I can have a hand free, especially for dogs who get excited from wildlife and could suddenly pull really hard anytime. I keep a pop up bowl and a bottle for water breaks. Before going for longer walks I touch test the path in case they are too hot. I also have experience putting jackets on dogs in the colder months.
“Daisy is such a joy to work with. She is so amazing with my dog reactive Great Dane, she always takes extra precautions and steps necessary to make sure their walks are a success and as low stress for both of them as possible. Today, with less than an hour before Harley’s scheduled walk, I threw Daisy for a loop and asked her if she could go to a different house that she’s never been to before to pick Harley up and on top of that, asked if she would mind bringing a friend to walk my stepsister‘s dog who was there with Harley. She had no issue accommodating to these plans and did not even expect to get compensated for the additional time and effort (which I absolutely did anyways). I would highly recommend Daisy to anybody looking for somebody to care for and love their pet! She is so amazing!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and am experienced with dogs and cats. I have 2 senior dogs that I’ve had since they were puppies (a Newfoundland and a Basset hound), and 3 senior cats, so I’ve gotten pretty good at taking care of older animals with health issues, including giving meds orally and topically. I also have 2 cockatiels and a canary! I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for a few years. Now that my youngest is in kindergarten, I have time during school hours to work. I’d love to use that time taking care of your pets! I am careful and observant. I will always verify that your dog’s collar and leash are on securely before we leave the house. If you have a fenced in yard, I’ll ensure the gate is closed and latched, and I’ll watch to make sure your dog doesn’t get into anything it’s not supposed to.

About: I love caring for pets of all ages and breeds, from playful puppies to gentle senior dogs and cats. I’m skilled in giving medications, as I care for my own senior dog. I can maintain special diets, and provide physical activity, as well as mental stimulation to keep pets happy and healthy. What sets me apart is my ability to read each animal’s special needs, as I have many pets of my own. I have much patience and compassion when it comes to pets, whether it’s training a puppy, assisting a senior pet with mobility, or simply offering cuddles and attention. I treat each and every pet as my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around feedings, walks, playtime, and check ins to make sure each pet gets consistent attention and care. I’m flexible and reliable, so I can accommodate different routines, whether that’s early mornings, evenings, or special care needs. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy, and I make it a priority, not something I squeeze in. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and playtime instructions closely, while giving plenty of attention and affection. I keep the home tidy, clean up after pets (including litter boxes and feeding areas), and make sure they feel safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is well cared for.
About: Hi there! I’m Madison — a lifelong dog lover who believes our pets truly are part of the family. I’ve grown up around dogs of all sizes and personalities, from high-energy pups to mellow seniors, and I love getting to know what makes each one special. I’ve boarded and pet-sat for many friends and family members over the years, and caring for dogs has always been something I truly enjoy. My family has a pitbull named Sully (Grizzly’s best friend!) and another pup named Bear who stays with my husband’s family. We travel often for my husband’s work, and this is such a fun way for Grizzly to make new friends — and for me to stay busy doing something I love! Just please make sure your dog is comfortable around other animals if I’m boarding them or bringing them to my home for the day, so they can be best buddies with Grizzly. I work from home, which means I have a super flexible schedule and can be available to help whenever you need — early mornings, midday walks, or evening drop-ins. Your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, and company throughout the day. I’m flexible, reliable, and here to help however I can — and to be someone you can truly trust with your furry family member! We live in an apartment, but I’m really active and make it work perfectly for the dogs I care for! Grizzly and I get out for plenty of walks, park visits, and outdoor time every day, so your pup will get lots of exercise and fresh air. Inside, our home is cozy, clean, and safe — a comfortable space for dogs to relax and feel right at home. I care for every pet like they’re my own! Whether I’m in your home or mine, I make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I stick to their normal routines — from feeding and walks to playtime and cuddles — and pay close attention to their unique personality and needs. I always keep communication open with updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in great hands. I’m trustworthy, dependable, and flexible with your needs — whether that means adjusting my schedule, giving extra attention, or following specific routines. As a dog owner myself, I know how hard it can be to trust someone else with your fur baby, but if you’re looking for someone you can truly rely on, I’ve got you covered!

“Tyler and Andrea took my 13 ½-year-old Lab for walks twice a day, morning and evening. Even though the agreement was for 30 minutes, they often walked an extra 10 minutes since my lab is very slow. They were always punctual, communicated clearly, and showed great patience. Walking Veera is not easy at his age, but they never complained and cared for him with kindness. Thank you for taking care of our fur baby while we were sick — it gave us such peace of mind.”

About: I’ve had many animals throughout my life, at one point I had three cats, two dogs, six breaded dragons, three ferrets, a bunny, and a gecko and I loved taking care of every one of them. I am a very reliable person with reliable transportation. If I am unavailable, I am most likely working. I prefer to walk dogs rather than pet sitting but I will pet sit if needed. I work a seasonal job at a ski resort and I work the mornings where I get off around 3:00-3:30 and would be willing to walk a dog anytime after 4:00. If I am pet sitting I can come over anytime after but if I do work the next morning then I will have to leave. I have taking care of an assortment of different animals growing up where I had to take care of each one different. Therefore, I have a lot of experience.

- 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
