About: Hello, Pet Parents! I love dogs and have had the good fortune of co-existing with them for 30 years. I’ve cared for Shih tzus, a Golden, a Lab, and a Boxer. Dogs are everything that right with the world I have a flexible schedule ~ hybrid full time employment. My office is close by and I work remotely three days a week. Weekends and evenings are fully open, generally speaking. I will take my cues from your instructions and the dogs’ general routine. I like playing ball, I love brushing them, harnesses are preferred for walks, and I am comfortable using clickers, etc.

Kristy was incredibly kind, communicative, and patient with our two cats and our dog. This was the first time she cared for them, and I didn’t feel nervous at all leaving Bailey and the cats in her care. She kept us updated, paid close attention to their individual needs, and made sure everyone was comfortable and happy. Kristy did an amazing job, and we would absolutely trust her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and compassionate sitter.

Another huge thank you to Cynthia for taking care of our 3 fur-kids! Not only did she give them lots of play time and attention per usual, but we last-minute changed the booking from her home to ours due to some issues one of our dogs was having. She was very understanding and flexible. One of our dogs is having some issues that we aren’t sure of the cause yet, and she kept a great eye on him and kept us informed while we were away. It was hard to leave him not knowing how he would do while we were away, but Cynthia took charge of the situation and unfortunately had to deal with a severe stomach issue with him while we were gone. We spoke on the phone a couple of times about it and she continued to monitor it. Was comforting to know she was tuned in to him and just dogs in general! Thank you again Cynthia!

Nicole was AMAZING! She not only accommodated a very last minute request due to a family emergency with our originally booked Rover but she was hands down the best one we have had yet! She is kind, communicative, and took such GREAT care of our home and our boy! Normally he is stressed when we get home from a trip but this time I think he was disappointed when we got home and spoiled all his fun LOL! We will definitely use Nicole again.

About: Hi! I’m Kel, and I’m an experienced, dependable pet sitter who genuinely loves getting to know every animal’s unique personality. I’ve been caring for pets for family, friends, and clients since I was a teenager, and pet sitting has always been something I’ve found incredibly rewarding. I know that leaving your pets in someone else’s care can be stressful, so my goal is to make the experience as comfortable and worry free as possible—for both you and your pets. I’m attentive to routines, personalities, and individual needs, whether that means an energetic dog who needs plenty of playtime, a senior pet who prefers a slower pace, or a shy cat who needs a little extra patience to feel comfortable. I currently share my home with my cats, Rosemary, Cheezel, Wasabi, and my Great Pyrenees, Marsha.. They’ve taught me plenty about the joys, quirks, and occasional chaos that come with having pets! I’m responsible, patient, communicative, and attentive to detail. I’ll treat your pets, your home, and your instructions with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your furry family members are safe, happy, and well cared for. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! 🐾 I have a flexible schedule that allows me to build pet care into my daily routine and give each visit the time and attention it deserves. I’m able to plan my day around scheduled drop-ins, walks, and house visits rather than rushing from one appointment to the next. I’m comfortable working with different routines and can follow your pet’s normal feeding, medication, play, and bathroom schedules as closely as possible. I understand that consistency is especially important , so I make an effort to keep their routine familiar while you’re away. I also make communication a priority and will keep you updated with messages and photos throughout my visits. My goal is to make caring for your pets a reliable part of my routine while giving you peace of mind that they’re getting the attention and care they need. I provide pet care in my clients’ homes, where I can keep pets in the environment they know and feel comfortable in. I believe staying in their own space helps reduce stress, especially for cats who can be sensitive to changes in their surroundings. During each visit, I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and care instructions as closely as possible. This can include feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, enrichment, walks, and medication or other special needs as discussed. I’ll take the time to interact with your pet based on their personality—whether they want lots of attention and playtime or prefer a quieter visit with some gentle companionship. I’m also attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, bathroom habits, or anything else that seems unusual. If I notice something concerning, I’ll contact you promptly rather than assuming it’s normal. I’ll treat your home with care and respect, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I am 25 years old. I have been cat and dog sitting since I was in middle school. Alongside that I have worked at a dog kennel for 2 1/2 years. And I am currently in school to become a vet tech. I have experience with dogs of all ages and size. I have experience with administering medications such as pills, ear medication, oral medication, eye medication, insulin, etc. I also have experience with small paralyzed dogs and know how to express bladders in smaller dogs/cats. I am currently in school Monday - Thursday but my schedule is quite flexible and on those days I will only be at campus for a couple/few hours. So I will still be able to provide the utmost care for your babies and give them all the attention they need! Animals are my passion and I love spending time with them. I would make sure to curate the time I spend with your fur babies based on their age and temperament. Whether that’s taking a high energy pup on walks or playing outside with them. Or extra snuggle time for the more elderly or chill babies. I also will make sure your baby has plenty of bathroom breaks throughout the day and I also love to send photo and text updates!

About: I have always known the love of having a pet. Whether that was hamsters, reptiles, cats, dogs, and even hermit crabs. I have found love for each individual species, including snakes! I have been training my previous dog since I was 15 and was able to teach her to sit, shake, and release. I currently have a senior cat who is prone to seizures and is partially blind and deaf. I have been caring for him for 6 years now and he is my everything. I am currently pursuing my masters degree and am interning as well so my schedule can be tight sometimes! I will communicate with you if there are any scheduling conflicts. I can shift around my schedule where needed so let's talk more about what you need and we can work through it together to make sure your pet gets the best care possible! I can care for your best friend in whatever is best suited their needs. For my cat, Peanut, he receives oral liquid medication 3x a day at strict times. For my roommates cat who is also a senior, Fig, she receives a pill medication that is taken orally. I have experience in giving medication to animals. If an animal needs any special care, I will pay close attention to the instructions to make sure they receive the best care possible.

From the very beginning, she showed incredible patience, understanding, and attention to detail. She took the time to learn about Ginny's unique needs and followed all instructions meticulously, ensuring my dogs felt comfortable and safe. Not only did she manage the specific care routines required, but she also offered updates and photos regularly, which put my mind at ease. Stephanie was so great, we are sooo glad we found her to watch our Stella! She stayed in our home with our high-maintenance pup for a weekend while we were away. She took her for walks, played with her, and gave her so much love and attention. She was great company for her. She kept our home in perfect condition. We will absolutely reach out to Stephanie in the future to watch our girl. Thank you, Stephanie!!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Krista. We were out of the country on an extended trip and very worried as this was the first time our Loki would be alone for 19 days after Wally passed away in June. Loki saw us packing and his anxiety was high causing him to be a bit unwell the day we left. I called Krista to inform her and she put my mind at ease - she eased my anxiety and i left home feeling calm. She assured me that she would handle the situation. Krista took such good care of Loki - she sent us updates and pictures and followed all the instructions i had left for her. Our neighbors messaged me to say how well she was taking care of Loki - She left our home in impeccable condition and we returned to a happy and healthy dog. I highly recommend Krista to anyone- you can rest assured that she will take great care of your pet and home.

FAQs for House Sitting - Lake Angelus

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Lake Angelus on Rover is $49.15 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 2,184 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lake Angelus. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lake Angelus walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lake Angelus maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lake Angelus choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lake Angelus. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
