“I felt great leaving my four cats in Mary’s care. I got plenty of updates and pictures- but truly she is such a pro that I didn’t feel like I had to stress too much and that freedom is priceless when you’re trying to travel while leaving your beloved pets at home. My home was spotless when I returned and all the kitties were happy and feeling great! I will definitely be recommending to anyone needing a pet sitter.”

“Danielle has been visiting my critters for over 5 trips now. She has always gone out of her way to work with my crazy last minute requests and continues to be calm through my storm. The pictures she sends show a story line of how much my tiny kitty has grown to trust her, with a wonderful glow in her eyes and every more zoomie action. Not only do I trust my Izzie is in good hands, I now enjoy seeing just how much my little girl enjoys her new friend.”

“This is the 2nd time Brooklin has cared for our cats and like the first time, we felt completely at ease and knew our kitties were in good hands. Her daily updates with photos and videos are always a delight to see when we’re traveling.”

“Kaitlyn was amazing! She took Great care of my girls while I was away. I love that she updated me daily with pictures and stories about how the girls were doing. I love the details that she would give me about what girls were interested in playing games everyday and who would rather just chirp for attention. Definitely trust and recommend her to take care of your fur babies.”

About: Hey! My name is Mars B. but I go by Myk W. (I got married and love a good nickname). I have worked with animals for my entire life - but for the last ten, it has been a significant part of my daily life. What started my passion was a harsh storm one summer when I was a kid. My grandma, The Beav’s, went outside once the worst of it had passed and began looking over the neighborhood. We walked home with two sparrows and a crow. A few days later, after mending any wounds and letting them recover, we got to release them. What proved I can handle the hardest of it was when my mother needed someone to take over the care for her elderly dogs. This included the fun of walks and play but also the parts that still inspire a tight ache in my chest. There’s a pride in knowing they were comforted until the end but a sorrow in any goodbye. I pride myself on my patience and in letting them sniff every bush on every walk, hide under beds until they seem me safe and being vigilant enough to prevent them from eating things they shouldn’t, from knocking things off counters or flying directly into a window. I also get to know them on their time. I was a very shy and anxious kid and apply what I wanted then to how I grow relationships with people and animals I work with now. I spent two years befriending a traumatized cockatoo and once he realized he could never bite me hard enough or scream loud enough to make me hurt him, he began sleeping on my chest and would dance every time I entered the room. His name was Goose and he and the macaw (with similar struggles) I had rescued at the time, Ravi, were the whole sun and moon to me. Animals always brighten my day and working with them is a healing thing for me. Living in Seattle means a smaller space not suitable for in-home rescue work and so I will find a place to volunteer and walk pets and do check in’s to fulfill my passion for working with animals! Currently, my husband and I are moving to Seattle, Wa and as a result, I am between jobs so my schedule is entirely open. Once in Seattle, my new job starts a few weeks later and I plan to work with animals as much as I can until then - and just a bit less once work starts as I still really want to walk and check in on pets local pets! In our home, it is individual to our pets. My husband and I have two cats - one named Smelvin, the other named Chickpea. Smelvin has had some hardships and as a result, has high anxiety and PICA, on top of food allergies limiting his diet to chicken and a few other poultry products. This means keeping a watchful eye to ensure he doesn’t have access to PICA triggers or anything else that could cause stomach issues to return. As for Chickpea, she is extremely high energy and so we need to prevent her from injuring herself - meaning we don’t keep heavy things out nor leave wires exposed. For others pets, I follow trust the owners judgements and maintain a close watch when their pets are in my care. During drop ins, I spend time with the animals and then do one or two walk throughs to check for any dangers, signs of sickness or distress or damage to the home or things they can escape from like window screens being pushed out or otherwise. It is very individual to owner and pet, but following instructions and also staying aware of obvious dangers or needs seems to cover all the bases.

“Morgan did a great job filling in last minute for us! We will definitely consider her again for future dates. She was communicative and thorough throughout her time here. Kaya definitely appreciated the company.”

About: I grew up with cats and learned how to care for them from a young age. In college, I also helped friends and neighbors with their cats, making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. My schedule is flexible and changes month to month, which allows me to adjust easily to pet parents’ needs. I’m able to make time for walks, feedings, and play whenever it’s needed. I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable by keeping their routines and giving them lots of care and attention. I always treat them like my own, with patience, kindness, and a clean, stress-free environment.

About: I have been helping out with family and friends pets for about 12 years. I grew up with dogs and I have 3 cats now. I am a substitute teacher, so I can be fairly flexible! I do not drive, so I bus and walk to all locations! I have done a total of 5 visits in a day so far! I firmly believe that outside time with a pet that hasn't had regular interaction with a person should be on a leash. I would hate to be in a situation where their safety or someone/something else's is jeopardized

Tim B.
“Tim has grown up around animals, I've turned toward him for behavior from my new kittens, and still do as they've grown over the year. Along with that is asking him about dog behavior that I've seen walking my friends dog, and in his own puppy. He's knowledgeable, and from what I've seen all animals take a quick liking to him, even my anxious kitty who hides from anyone but me.”

Savonne C.Star Sitter

“I had a great experience with Savonne! She is an excellent communicator. Although my cat is stubborn and seemingly only likes me, Savonne did her best and my cat was in better health when I returned! I would recommend Savonne to anyone seeking professional care for their fur baby.”

Daman B.
“I would highly recommend Daman to anyone looking for a dog walker/sitter, who is trustworthy, kind, and compassionate. He simply loves all of our furry friends and it shows. For example, he regularly walked my dear Border Collie, Sadie, for years. When she became too old and feeble for walks, he would ask to stop by just to say "hello" to her, see how she was doing, and sometimes even take her for a car ride. Such a joy this was for my sweet ol' gal! My two younger dogs now perk up just like Sadie did when they hear Daman's car come down the street and yowl for joy when they see him. I am relieved to know that my dogs and cat are in good hands, whether I need to be away for a few hours during the day, or also minding my plants and home when I am gone for several weeks of travel. Thank you, Daman, for the peace of mind you give me while caring for my four-legged family members.”
