About: I have taken care of 25+ dogs and cats in the past 3 years, to include in home/overnight pet- and house-sitting, dog walking, brushing, litter box maintenance and pill-based medication administration. This helps everyone involved – pets and humans – get to know me and feel comfortable with me before I take on the responsibility for the pet. I take care to be calm around the pets I sit - I let both cats and dogs take their time to warm up to me (come to me when they are ready, sniff my hands, my person, my things). I am careful when feeding animals - particularly dogs - giving them space. I follow the pet's routine - if they sleep on the bed, I let them sleep on the bed; if they like to go in and out frequently, I let them go in and out frequently. I try to make them as comfortable as I can, in their human's absence.

About: I have been looking after pets my entire life. Growing up, I had 3 dogs, 2 cats and a Guinea pig so I understand the care and attention all animals require. I am currently a student who also works part time but am looking to do Rover in order to stay active while doing something I love. My home in Scarborough has a very big yard that is fenced off but also very close to the beach, which is perfect for dogs. Size of animal does not matter as I have working with all shapes and sizes.

Nishat truly went above and beyond for our 12 week old puppy and not only took great care of him but also took great care of our house while we were away for a week. Our puppy had to take different medications and had many needs that we were nervous about but Nishat put our minds to ease and met all his needs and I was amazed at her knowledge, care and treatment of our puppy and our place like they were her own. She sent us updates every day to let us know how he was doing and it was so clear to us that he was in good hands, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our time away. Julie provided excellent care for Jack and Penny. Jack is an easily excitable lab with endless energy to chase tennis balls. Julie wore him out and he went to bed early and very happy. I will not hesitate to ask Julie to watch our dogs again. We appreciate it so much. It means the world to us to be able to leave our dogs in someone's care without worry.
Their attention to detail was impressive. They noticed habits and personality traits in our girls that we know and take for granted. They could tell that Brynn was having some regular arthritis pain and that Lilly was off her potty schedule and quickly communicated that to us to make sure we were aware and to see if there was anything they could do to help. They’re great at asking questions when they think anything should be brought to our attention and want to know if there is anything they can do about it. Their passion and love for fur babies was evidenced by their regular and thorough check-in texts, the time they spent time with our fur babies, and pictures they sent. Their attentiveness and regular updates regarding Lilly’s med schedule and Brynn’s arthritis pain gave us peace of mind while we were away. We definitely will ask them to spend time with Brynn and Lilly next summer when we return to Maine. Would recommend them to anyone!
Heather did such a great job at our house while we were away on an international trip. She sent photo updates and was always prompt to respond if we checked in with how things were going. She was very understanding of our dogs specific breed and we felt very at ease leaving him and our cat and chickens in her care. They seemed to have a great time with her and we came home to a very clean house which was lovely! This was our first time using an in home pet sitter and we would highly recommend Heather and her services!
