My super strength as a pet caregiver, is my interest in getting to know an animal's personality and working mindfully and respectfully with their nature. I prioritize safety, trust and attention. I've taught young children and raised kittens, puppies and chickens over the last twenty years. As a lover of Great Pyrenees (having raised three) and cats, I have great respect for the subtle and obvious efforts our animals use to communicate with us. I'm experienced with all ages. Senior pets are very dear to me. I've had the honor to provide comforting care for my own animals and provide tender touch, medications, dietary support, and a calm presence through their final months. I also love training and nurturing puppies.

Mindfulness, kindness, and experience guide my services. I'm happy to travel to care for pets in the comfort of their home or mine! My place was designed for Great Pyrenees. I have a large, protective deck and fenced yard for supervised off-leash, outdoor time.

Heather did such a great job at our house while we were away on an international trip. She sent photo updates and was always prompt to respond if we checked in with how things were going. She was very understanding of our dogs specific breed and we felt very at ease leaving him and our cat and chickens in her care. They seemed to have a great time with her and we came home to a very clean house which was lovely! This was our first time using an in home pet sitter and we would highly recommend Heather and her services!

Heather was excellent house sitting with our cat when we went away for a few days. We got regular updates, and it was clear that he warmed up to her quickly. She left our house neat and tidy. We will definitely ask Heather when we need a cat sitter in the future!
I can’t recommend Heather highly enough. She was so sweet with our dogs and very thorough during our initial meeting. While we were out of town, she stayed at our house and went above and beyond caring for babies and our space- she vacuumed at the end of her stay and even shoveled our deck, both without being asked. Each day we were gone, Heather sent us multiple photos and updates. We would book with her again in a heartbeat!
Heather was wonderful, my Husky pup seemed to feel very at ease with her and she understood him and his quirks very well. I also really appreciated all of the photos and updates she sent!
My dogs have always loved Heather and will follow her room to room when in her presence. She’s attentive to their various needs and moods, whether for play, for walks, and/or being doted on. Highly recommend Heather as a pet sitter!

I am available to provide individualized day and overnight care for your pet(s) and plants. Contact me to discuss your short-term or longterm needs. I am especially interested in helping people feel at ease during holidays and vacations by providing qualified, experienced multi-day pet care.

- Please note: I can provide individualized , attentive care in my home for cat-tolerant dogs. I provide separate quarters, away from the house cat, for sleeping and calm time. It is not the right fit for a cat-aggressive dog. Maintaining a healthy environment in my home for other's pets (and the cat) is important to me. Therefore, for daycare and boarding, I request proof of rabies vaccine certificate and a clear fecal test, or permission to contact your vet directly for your dog's current health status.
