About: I grew up with a reactive black lab, so I know how to handle leash pulling and how to deescalate and prevent fights. In her old age, I learned to accommodate her failing joints. I’ve been trained at the Licking County Humane Society in Ohio as a volunteer dog walker, which has well equipped me to understand and respond respectfully to dog language. I further pursue this knowledge by reading about how dogs communicate with us, and by observing and analyzing their behavior both in real life and online. This will be my primary commitment, so I can easily cater to your schedule to fit your pets needs. Mornings, evenings, weekends, whatever you need, except Thursdays :) I will take great care to follow your instructions and respect the rules of your home and needs of your animal(s). About: I have had 3 dogs of my own! An Australian Cattle Dog Mix, a Basenji mix, and a working line large breed German Shepherd, which I helped train in obedience to be an SD. My dogs always had scheduled potty breaks and playtime. My job is to make sure your pet has the best time while keeping boundaries/respecting their space, ensuring their safety, and following your expectations of care. I am comfortable with any amount of shedding and the size of your pet. I can especially ease my interaction with pets that are scared and anxious, as through training my own dog, I am better at picking up the dog’s body language and only engage in physical contact if the pet’s body language consents. If you have an aggressive pet, please notify me beforehand. I do not guarantee I will agree to care for them, but I am interested in scheduling a first meeting if possible. Note: I do not drink/smoke, so your loved one will never be affected by second-hand smoke or inappropriate behavior. I am very available on the weekends and by the afternoon on weekdays. If you need morning care, please reach out and I will see if I can accommodate! My pets are routinely groomed and freshened. Everytime they come inside after heavy play, I clean their body from head to toe with pet friendly wipes. I use a brush that helps with shedding and smoothing out hair. Their teeth gets brushed every 2 weeks. I check their ears for dirt routinely and the inside of their paws for any injuries or cracking from dryness.

She played with him more than we do, I am sure. She sent us pictures and videos multiple times a day. Heather is an A+ sitter! Our home and cats were in great hands while we were on an 8 day international trip. Heather checked in every day to let me know how the boys were doing, and left everything exactly the way we left it. She also helped with making sure the trash got put out and other household things. Cam was absolutely brilliant! She took wonderful care of our three senior dogs and kitty, including keeping up with daily medications and, just as importantly, paying close attention to their individual needs, routines, and cues. When our flight was cancelled, Cam truly came to our rescue by staying an extra day. Knowing our furry little retirement village was in such capable hands made a stressful situation considerably easier. We can’t recommend Cam highly enough. She was attentive, dependable, caring, and went above and beyond for us and our furry clan. We will absolutely ask her back—assuming, of course, she’s willing to subject herself to this lot again. Geoff was fantastic with our dog while we were away on a two-week international vacation. Keri was wonderful! It was my first time leaving my puppy for the whole day and so I was a little nervous about how she’d do but Keri sent updates and adorable pictures that put me at ease. I also appreciated her attentiveness when we were going over all of the details she’d need to know for the day.
Emma did a great job being flexible and taking care of our dog for a week! She allowed for a hybrid of boarding and sitting that worked well as our family grew by another human. She gave us daily updates of his adventures and romps around town and daily walks and activities.
Jackie worked amazingly well with my Izzy cat. Izzy went immediately to Jackie upon meet & greet. I was very surprised since Izzy is usually shy or tends to swat new friends.
