House Sitting in Ogunquit

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I was a veterinary technician for 20 years before I became a stay at home mom to my daughter, Jordan I love this opportunity on Rover, because it joins my two favorite things—animals and the outdoors. This is a great way for me to teach my daughter animal husbandry. I am a stay at home mom so my schedule is flexible. My daughter usually tags along with me. She is also an animal lover. I currently do not own any pets so I am free to take care of other animals. If I need to check on an animal, I usually spend about an hour with them. (Letting them out, feeding and watering, snuggling). If I am walking, I will walk for an hour. Or an agreed time frame.

“We highly recommend Patrick. He was absolutely wonderful with our dog Gilligan. We utilized the overnight pet sitting service in our home. Patrick was very accommodating and to better get to know us, he offered to visit our home twice prior to our trip. One of these visits he took Gilligan for a walk, while I just tagged along. He handled Gilligan beautifully, cleaned up after him, let him stop and sniff, but then encouraged him along. He stopped and talked with a neighbor, while their dog and Gilligan said hello. Patrick was a natural. It was obvious he loved dogs and took his job very seriously. Patrick provided us with references without us asking. We called all of them and heard nothing but very positive comments. Patrick also offered to talk with our previous sitter (who was moving away) to gain even more knowledge of Gilligan and how to best care for him. I was doing all I could to find the best caregiver for Gilligan, and Patrick made it easy. It was all pretty impressive. Although we were gone for only one night, Patrick kept us updated with pictures and messages throughout the day, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We will definitely be using Patrick again.”

About: I've always had a natural connection with dogs since childhood. Dogs have always gravitated to my calm energy and ability to sense their needs. Your dog will not just be taken care of but will feel safe like they're spending time with an old friend. Retired computer nerd and musician available for dog walking and house visits most days of the week. Some dogs are welcome in our home with fenced in yard and 5 y.o. yellow lab Norma for playtime and companionship. My wife and I live in a wooded area in York with a large fenced in back yard. We are both retired and home most of the day to keep an eye on the pups. I am available for long or short visits to your home for dog walks and exercise to suite your needs. I am an avid walker and walk daily. I am fully insured with pet sitting/walking insurance.

About: I was a zookeeper for 17 years and have had my own pets for 20+ years. I have experience with animal behavior, puppies, older dogs, cats, and everything in between I am seasonally employed and looking to fill some gaps during the off season. I have my own family obligations, so the flexibility of Rover works well for me. I have a large private yard with lots of woods on a dead end road. I'm happy being outside and used to working in all types of weather.

About: I love all animals sooo much! I’ve always had dogs and cats growing up! Now that I’m grown I have my own dog her name is Luna she is a 2 year old Gordon Setter and the best girl. I also a rescue cat her name is Whiskey she’s also 2! I have a lot of experience training and taking care of dogs and cats! Luna is off leash trained with an excellent recall and knows quite a few tricks! I’m currently working part time as a server at night and have a lot of free time in the day! My typical day at the restaurant doesn’t start until 3:30 and I usually am out around 9:30! I have one friendly dog Luna who I’m sure would love a few new friends! Luna and I are together most of the day doing things like walks to drives to petsmart! I don’t have a fenced in backyard so walks are my main way to exercise my pup! But always am flexible to come to your home too and care for your pup however is best fit for them!

About: I’ve taken care of family’s pets and also have had my own my whole life. I have experience with a variety of breeds and sizes, including other furry friends as well. My favorite thing in the world is making sure animals of all kind are the happiest and healthiest versions of themselves and i’ve always been one to care about every single animal, including wild hurt ones or strays. I have a pretty open schedule and plenty of time to spend playing, exercising, and hanging out with your pet. We like to go on lots of walks, adventures to different places, car rides, ball and frisbee time, ect. I have my own furry friends to care for as well but am able to fit yours in whenever needed and work accordingly! When i’m caring for dogs or any animal they are always my top priority. When I care for your pets i’ll make sure they are well taken care of (fed, potty, water, play, exercise, etc.) I treat any animal as if it was my own.

“This was our first time having Savanna watch Yoshi since since we are new to the area and it was too far of a commute for Yoshi’s previous sitter. I’ve used Rover for years and have found some hidden gems, and Savanna is one of them. Savanna was very communicative and kept us updated with photos of their evening. Yoshi isn’t a difficult pup to watch, he’s quite lazy, but he is particular about who hangs out in his house, and there were no complaints! He loved having her here and so did we.
