About: I have had dogs my entire life. I have taken care of my own dogs as well as friends and neighbors. I have experience with labs, golden retrievers, German shepherds, Rottweilers, and pit bulls mostly but love all dogs. I currently work full time Monday-Friday (this is important to note when booking me for house sitting) and would love to help people with walking their pets/letting them out after work or on the weekends. I can’t have pets in my apartment and greatly miss interacting with dogs! I am very respectful of other people’s homes. I am clean and appreciate instructions/rules on where food, collars/leashes, treats, etc are. I will keep your furry companions company, provide long walks, and scratches of course!

About: I've always had a natural connection with dogs since childhood. Dogs have always gravitated to my calm energy and ability to sense their needs. Your dog will not just be taken care of but will feel safe like they're spending time with an old friend. Retired computer nerd and musician available for dog walking and house visits most days of the week. Some dogs are welcome in our home with fenced in yard and 5 y.o. yellow lab Norma for playtime and companionship. My wife and I live in a wooded area in York with a large fenced in back yard. We are both retired and home most of the day to keep an eye on the pups. I am available for long or short visits to your home for dog walks and exercise to suite your needs. I am an avid walker and walk daily. I am fully insured with pet sitting/walking insurance.

“Julianne was absolutely incredible with my dog, Lily, during a very challenging house-sitting stay while I was out of town. Lily struggles with separation anxiety and can be extremely slow to warm up to new people, and the first couple of days were honestly tough. Julianne handled everything with so much patience, compassion, calmness, and professionalism. She stayed in constant communication with me, provided thoughtful updates, problem-solved creatively, collaborated with neighbors Lily trusted, adjusted her approach based on Lily’s comfort level, and never once made me feel like Lily was ‘too much.’ Even through some anxious/reactive moments, she remained patient, understanding, and committed to helping Lily feel safe and secure. By the end of the stay, Lily was cuddling with her, walking with her, and happily spending time together. That turnaround says everything. Julianne genuinely cares about animals and goes far above and beyond what most sitters would do. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her, especially for anxious or more complicated dogs.”

About: I love dogs and they seem to love me! I do not have my own dog currently but like to think of all those I watch as my own. I love to get them (and me) out for a walk especially on a beach or nearby trail. I also have a lot of experience caring for senior dogs and can match that energy level as well! If you need references I will be happy to provide them from Wallis, Teddie, Stella, Franklin, Buna, Wally, Tater, Judy, Kaya or Koda. I work from home so would not be away from your dog for more than an hour or two. If your dog likes the car, they can join me on errands/adventures. Or we can stay close to home for walks or snuggles. I care for dogs in their own home to keep them in familiar settings and routines. Important to know if they can be let outside in yard off leash or not, feeding times, what time is typical for wake up.

“This was our first time using Rover or having someone we didn’t know staying at our home and caring for our girl. It was also the longest we have been apart from Piper (a week). One might say it was the perfect storm for pup parental anxiety. Cue Ashley. Ashley came over for an initial “meet and greet” visit and asked lots of questions (and even took notes) about Piper’s habits, the commands we use, etc. While we were away, she sent daily updates, pictures, and even a few video clips. She asked questions if she needed clarification on something. She even went out to grab a few essentials we ran out of while we were away. When we came home, it was to a happy pup. Ashley had been here all week but the house was tidy and she had even washed her own bed sheets! For a first experience with Rover, we couldn’t be happier.
