About: I’ve been caring for animals professionally for 10 years, and have had pets my whole life. I have a deep love for animals and have pursued a career in conservation to help protect our wild friends of the woods 🦝 I love animals of all shapes, sizes, and textures, so you can count on me to feed the fish and the lizard while you’re away, too. I have experience with dogs of all breeds, and was a groomer at Petco for a couple of years, so I can also give a pretty good dog bath when they jump into a puddle of mud. Let’s connect and see if we are a good match!! I work part-time in Somersworth and spend my free hours working on my paintings, so I have plenty of extra time to spend loving on your fur babies. I find that animals relax around me when I’m doing my art. My dog loves to lay at my feet and nap while I paint. I offer in-home services including check-ins for being let outside to potty, feeding, and playtime. I usually end up going over the 30 minutes because I feel guilty leaving them haha usually I offer overnight stays as well and can provide walks to most dogs.

My own dog is about 80 lbs, and I can expertly manage small, medium, and large dogs. I monitor pets and look for changes. I have partnered effectively with anyone who needs care for their pet. As long as no other owner has booked me, I am available 5 days a week and have flexibility with scheduling at this time. I will follow your instructions with how you keep your pets and your home, including how you manage your routines with food, potty breaks and walks and any special requests you have for their care. I will care for them as I would my own. For myself, I do enjoy quiet activities, and furbaby snuggles are one of those. My dog is a trained service dog. He is welcomed almost anywhere I go. He gets fed twice a day, treats as earned, and lots of love. I would pass these skills and habits along to your home and your pets.

“My scaredy cats are not overly friendly upon first meeting, but Claire was patient with them and worked her cat whispering magic to draw them out. They had such a good time with Claire that when we got back, they barely noticed. Claire asked a bunch of questions, and I felt comfortable leaving her in charge of my cats. I appreciated the many pictures she sent to let me know that both cats had been sighted and were being well cared for. Thank you, Claire!! “This was our first time using Rover or having someone we didn’t know staying at our home and caring for our girl. It was also the longest we have been apart from Piper (a week). One might say it was the perfect storm for pup parental anxiety. Cue Ashley. Ashley came over for an initial “meet and greet” visit and asked lots of questions (and even took notes) about Piper’s habits, the commands we use, etc. While we were away, she sent daily updates, pictures, and even a few video clips. She asked questions if she needed clarification on something. She even went out to grab a few essentials we ran out of while we were away. When we came home, it was to a happy pup. Ashley had been here all week but the house was tidy and she had even washed her own bed sheets! For a first experience with Rover, we couldn’t be happier. We give Ashley four thumbs and two paws up. 👍👍👍👍🐾”

Patrick was very accommodating and to better get to know us, he offered to visit our home twice prior to our trip. One of these visits he took Gilligan for a walk, while I just tagged along. He handled Gilligan beautifully, cleaned up after him, let him stop and sniff, but then encouraged him along. He stopped and talked with a neighbor, while their dog and Gilligan said hello. Patrick was a natural. It was obvious he loved dogs and took his job very seriously. Patrick provided us with references without us asking. We called all of them and heard nothing but very positive comments. Patrick also offered to talk with our previous sitter (who was moving away) to gain even more knowledge of Gilligan and how to best care for him. I was doing all I could to find the best caregiver for Gilligan, and Patrick made it easy. It was all pretty impressive. Although we were gone for only one night, Patrick kept us updated with pictures and messages throughout the day, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We will definitely be using Patrick again.”
