About: Over the past 35 years, we've had three dogs who lived to 13, 14 and 15 years. We are very familiar with older dogs as well as young dogs and enjoy playing with dogs. After the loss of our last dog, Lucy, we decided to take a break from having another dog as we were empty nesters. We love dogs and were encouraged by our grown children to try Rover. We live on a quiet street near the York Harbor Beach and our house is far from the road with woods all around us. I am a regular daily walker and would love to have a dog to walk with me on occasion. I am familiar with the regulations on leashes, beach hours and waste bags. We are generally home on the days we accept pet sitting to take care of any visiting dogs. We became pet sitters because we enjoy hanging out with dogs. We have a large backyard surrounded by woods far from roads as well as a home that is dog friendly. We live about 2/3 mile from a quiet beach and it is a perfect walk for most dogs.

About: I was lucky enough to train at a highly established pet boarding facility for over two years, in which time I learned how to provide the best experience for all of our furry friends. I am also CPR certified for adult dogs, puppies, and cats! Aside from that, I have grown up with and around dogs my whole life. I am almost certain, your furry friend/s and I will become best buds, if given the chance! I am currently a full time student at The University of Maine, however my schedule is very light next semester with most of my classes being online. I will also have cheer practice two-three times a week, leaving plenty of time for me to give tons of attention to your pets! About: Kristine and Eric have loved and had animals our entire life. I have always helped care for pets, even as a child. Eric was raised on a farm, caring for many different kinds of animals- waking up before dawn to ensure that all animals were properly cared for and had what they needed for the day whether it be rain, shine, snow, sleet, hot, or cold. We, together, have two dogs. They are both around 10 years old and are rescues. We also have 6 chickens. Our home has a door from the downstairs to the upstairs. When dogs are home during the day and if left alone for 1 hour or so they stay downstairs with access to water, comfy couches, and dog bed areas. When we are home they have free run of the home. We also have a crate for dogs that may need a private, safe space. We have a back yard that our dog enjoys playing in, but just so you know it is not fenced in, therefore dogs remain leashed when in the back yard. We do have a deck that is closed off in the backyard where dogs can be left unleashed to hang out, but always supervised when out there. We also have a 15 year old daughter who loves animals. She assists with the care of our dogs and we have fostered a few dogs in the past from various shelters and she is always eager to assist with making these dogs feel comfortable and give them love. She volunteers at a local animal shelter with small mammals and takes care of the chickens I work full time during the school year for a school district. Eric works from home. Eric takes dogs for a number of walks per day including walks to the local dog park (Rogers Park) and to local beaches for exercise and socialization. I am home by 3:30 pm and bring my dogs (and other dogs) for exercise either running, hiking, or walking. In the summer I am mostly around. I also grew up with cats and with both have experience with cats and providing meds to cats, including insulin shots. I work full time and Eric works part to full time but we can walk dogs in the evening and walk dogs throughout the day on the weekends. I have summers off as I work in a school. I will not be offering care in my home, but am excited to take care of your pet and walk your dog and take your dog on adventures.

About: I’m a newly retired teacher and former principal that loves my doggies! Over the years, I’ve had so much love from my very special friends. Would love to give and get some loves from your treasured family member. I literally live in the middle of Stratham Hill Park and I love to walk. Only one “little guy” at a time…🥰 I’m loving my retirement and have lots of time and love to give. I have some scheduled exercise classes in the mornings but always home by 10:30. I’ve had so many dogs over the years. Routine visits to the vet are mandatory and walking, playing, and interacting with my friends are essential. I’m also very familiar with dogs with anxiety. One needs to approach this in a calm and careful way and watch the signs for anxiety coming on and be able to respond with love and kindness. Living right in the middle of Stratham Hill Park, I have easy access to the walking trails. Because I don’t know your dog, they will never be off leash but will be outside often during the day!! I love to walk. 🥰 I have a lovely crate IF your dog prefers this quiet space, but I will not be crating unless you ask me to. Typically my 11 year old grandson will come by after school to snuggle, play and go for a walk with me and your pup!

About: Dogs have been apart of my life since day one, they are seriously the best companions. I have trained a few dogs, including my own lab who I got at 7 months as well as cared for senior dogs such as my childhood pup who got up to 14! Im free at some point and time every day! “Our dog Jilly had THE BEST time with Sheila and her dog Dakota. Sheila was so thoughtful of Jilly and what would make her the most comfortable and relaxed. She took her on trail walks each day, she gave her treats and made a fire for her to snuggle up to. We were able to relax on our vacation knowing that Jilly was in such great hands. We wholeheartedly recommend her!”
