About: Hi! I’m Terri, and I’ve spent most of my life working with people, animals, and creating environments where others feel safe and cared for. I was a teacher for 20 years, so I’m extremely patient, responsible, and attentive to details—qualities that translate perfectly to caring for pets. I also have a strong background in customer service from my time at the Four Seasons, where I learned how important trust, communication, and reliability are. My schedule is very flexible right now, and I’m currently available most days from late morning through the evening. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and provide consistent, reliable care. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, safety is always my top priority. I pay close attention to routines, surroundings, and each pet’s comfort level. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I always follow any instructions you provide to keep your pet safe and happy.
“Deb took great care of my cats while I was out of town. She did a great job of communicating with me and was very responsive to questions. My kitties were happy and well taken care of. I would definitely book Deb again in the future.”

“As always, Chelsea did an amazing job pet sitting our 3 needy kitties! She proficiently carries out their (annoyingly specific) feeding/medication instructions and cares for them as if they were her own! We are happy to be repeat customers with her :)”

“Peter is consistently great! He takes wonderful care of my two older dogs, they look forward to his visits. He is very thoughtful and always willing to clean up accidents and bring inside packages that get delivered.”

“Ashley is wonderful. She communicates, send tons of photos, and is extremely trustworthy. We would absolutely hire her again! Lucky to have found her in such short notice as well. Thank you Ashley 👏🏽”

“Lorenzo saved us when we had a last minute emergency with our two big energetic goldens. We never even met him but he took great care of our pups and fed our cats in our home over a couple of days! He was professional, responsive, and totally trustworthy. Will definitely book him for any future pup needs. Thank you, Lorenzo!”

About: I have been a pet "Mom" for many years. I treat each furbaby as one of my own. In addition, I'm a reliable, retired home care provider. My own dog is about 80 lbs, and I can expertly manage small, medium, and large dogs. I monitor pets and look for changes. I have partnered effectively with anyone who needs care for their pet. As long as no other owner has booked me, I am available 5 days a week and have flexibility with scheduling at this time. I will follow your instructions with how you keep your pets and your home, including how you manage your routines with food, potty breaks and walks and any special requests you have for their care. I will care for them as I would my own. For myself, I do enjoy quiet activities, and furbaby snuggles are one of those. My dog is a trained service dog. He is welcomed almost anywhere I go. He gets fed twice a day, treats as earned, and lots of love. I would pass these skills and habits along to your home and your pets.
“Emerson was great! She showed up on time, and followed instructions to a tea. And had zero problems with my 6 month old Malinois, and other large dog! Even in the pouring rain. Would recommend her for any of your pets needs :)”

About: Life-long pet lover with several years of dog walking experience. Also volunteered at the animal shelter, attended a dog training course, and took the vocational Health Occupations course in High School which included job shadowing at a vet's office. Scheduling should be pretty flexible. We are located in Wells & work part time locally. Please inform us what your needs are and we will try to accommodate! We live in an apartment so we will care for your dogs inside as well as giving them walks & allowing them in the yard on long leashes. Our two dogs will be overjoyed to have playmates, but if yours are shy or nervous we can keep them separated. Trips to the beach, dog park, or walking trails are also doable!
About: I was lucky enough to train at a highly established pet boarding facility for over two years, in which time I learned how to provide the best experience for all of our furry friends. I am also CPR certified for adult dogs, puppies, and cats! Aside from that, I have grown up with and around dogs my whole life. I am almost certain, your furry friend/s and I will become best buds, if given the chance! I am currently a full time student at The University of Maine, however my schedule is very light next semester with most of my classes being online. I will also have cheer practice two-three times a week, leaving plenty of time for me to give tons of attention to your pets! Depending on what you would prefer, I am able to take walks, field trips, play dates, and of course lots of snuggles and belly rubs. If requested I am also able to do enrichment activities, for pups with the energy of hundreds!
About: I’ve had dogs since I was 13. Have 2 dogs myself and they are amazing. I like to spoil my dogs and I’m reliable because I like to give the dogs attentions. animal lover since i was a kid and always connected with dogs :) Part time. Fill their daily needs when I’m with them and entertain them to get their moving or relaxing environment if they need it. :) I will feed them, bathe them, let them play, walk them, and or based on the clients schedules and needs I will do my best to fill those requirements in order to maximize their dogs happiness

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
