“I cannot say enough good things about John. We were visiting Weymouth for a family event where we couldn’t bring our dogs, and we booked John for the first time to entertain our pups before a long drive back to Vermont. One of our pups also had restrictions due to a somewhat recent surgery. John took outstanding care of our pups- they returned with huge smiles, and were happily exhausted. John was a great communicator and was very prompt arriving to pick up the pups (early) and dropping them back off. I hope to find someone as good as John back home in Vermont to trust to take care of our pups. Also- I was able to truly relax and enjoy the party trusting that Billie and Bear were having a great time and in great hands- which felt so fantastic. I am so so grateful that we found John, and for Rover putting us in touch!!”

About: Hello there! I recently moved to the South Shore from New York, and I'm really looking forward to getting to know the area, enjoying the beautiful nature of Massachusetts, all while befriending your pets! I've worked with animals for most of my adult life. From pet daycares and full-time dog walking to my current career as a veterinary receptionist. I've also volunteered at a TNR. When caring for other people's pets, I like to specialize in reinforcing proper training, taking long, tiring walks, engaging in lots of loving play time, and makong sure your pets never feels alone. Workong in the veterinary field, I also feel very comfortable with pets woth medical needs as well as administering medications, with an owner's instructions. My care is not limited to cats and dogs, either! I'd also love to take care of your rabbits/rodents, reptiles, amphibians, birds, etc. Being new to town, I'm currently settling in, and my schedule is completely open! I would really love to develop a regular schedule with your pet in order to earn their trust and build a close relationship with tjem! In my personal life, I have quite a bit of experience administering medications to both cats and dogs, particularly seniors. In my job as a veterinary receptionist, I've aided the ER as an assistant, holding pets during some procedures and aiding in more intensive medications.

About: I have been an animal lover all of my life. I grew up with dogs, and cats and had a backyard horse that I used to show in 4H shows. I have always trained my own animals, getting tips from licensed trainers, and am very comfortable around all animals, especially dogs. I am self-employed owning a PR consulting business and work from home during the day. I can easily run out at different times during the day to take care of a pet locally, take dogs for a walk in the early am, during lunch hours and/or late afternoon/early eve. Personally, we have a fenced-in yard for my two dogs. Otherwise, I take them out on a leash for walks. I am very cautious with dog walking and try to avoid any interactions with other dogs, not knowing how they will all react on a leash. I consider myself a very responsible pet owner and would treat your dogs as I do my own.

“Rick did a fantastic job watching our dog Bubbles while we were away! He was prompt and really so caring to our fur baby! A neighbor suggested we give his friend, Rick a call when we had another pet sitter cancel on us last minute. Rick showed up right away and was so kind and helpful. He walked, fed and played with Bubbles (we have a pet cam), everyday and checked in with us multiple times to give us updates on our little babe. He even sent pics of them together on their walks! Bubbles, our English Mastiff can be a bit of a handful when it comes to strangers but Rick really took the time to let Bubbles warm up to him. I can’t say enough about how happy we are to have found a reliable, friendly, trustworthy dog loving helper! He’s a great guy and you would be lucky to have him as your sitter too!”
