About: I’ve taken care of every kind of dog since I was around the age of 9. I’ve also been trusted by many family and friends to take care of their pets. I would love to care for your pet like my own! I’m a stay at home mom, so i’m free any day of any week to keep your animals! I have plenty of time to play with your pets! I have a okay sized yard for your pet to run and play, I can create if needed. I’m more than happy to travel to you to care for them!

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life—since I was 5 years old. My mom is a dog groomer, and I worked with her for years, which gave me hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and needs. I currently have three of my own, ranging from 40 to 190 lbs, so I’m very comfortable handling large breeds and high-energy pups. I’m confident with everything from basic care to reading dog body language and managing senior or anxious dogs with patience and calm energy. I work from home, so I’m home all day and able to give your pet plenty of attention, playtime, and potty breaks. My flexible schedule means I can easily stick to your dog’s routine and be available for walks, feedings, and cuddle time throughout the day. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs or quirks. I follow instructions closely, keep a clean and calm environment, and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. I also give regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to make sure they feel secure, happy, and at home—wherever they are.

“Jamie is AMAZING! She has kept our basset hound twice now since moving to Tuscaloosa. I know he’s getting the best love and care when he is at her home. She takes him outside to play and her family also loves on him as well. I will continue using Jamie for overnight stays, she’s the best!”

About: Lexie, my own dog, has taught me a lot about patience, routine, and understanding a dog’s needs. Through caring for her and other family dogs and my previous dogs back in the Philippines, I’ve gained hands-on experience with daily pet care, playtime, and feeding schedules. I’m very attentive and make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I enjoy keeping dogs active with playtime, especially games like fetch, providing plenty of cuddle time, and sticking to their routines for feeding, potty breaks, and naps, and making sure they get plenty of attention and affection. Every dog deserves a fun, safe, and caring environment, and I’m dedicated to giving them just that. I’m available to care for pets on weekends, which is when I’m off work and can give full attention to your furry friends. During that time, I can provide playtime, walks, potty breaks, and plenty of cuddles, making sure your dog stays happy and well cared for while you’re away. I create a safe, loving space for every pup at my home. I have a semi-fenced yard where dogs can play under supervision, and I stick to their routines, giving plenty of attention, play, and cuddles so they always feel happy and secure.
About: Over the past six years, I have provided reliable, dedicated care for dogs of various sizes and needs, including managing multi-day house sittings and extended week-long stays. Most recently, I successfully provided a private, two-week boarding experience for a 50-pound dog, handling all daily feeding, exercise, and companionship routines flawlessly. I am a highly organized, detailed, and punctual person, meaning I prioritize consistency, safety, and communication. Whether your pup needs active playtime, strict medication schedules, or just a comfortable place to lounge, I am motivated to assist and support your family by providing top-tier care. As a dedicated college student, my routine is highly organized and structured, allowing me to easily fit premium pet care into my daily life. I balance my time efficiently and am fully available for overnight boarding on weekends. During weekdays, I have excellent availability to dedicate my afternoons and evenings to your dog, ensuring they receive plenty of focused attention, long walks, and regular potty breaks. Because I maintain a consistent schedule, you can count on me to be exceptionally punctual with feedings, check-ins, and updates. I live full-time in Tuscaloosa with my own friendly, well-behaved mini Bernedoodle, who is almost three years old. He loves company and provides great socialization for guest pets! When hosting dogs in my home, safety is my absolute top priority. I ensure a clean, calm, and secure environment where your pet will be treated like family. I am highly attentive to behavioral cues and comfortable managing medium-to-large breeds. I can easily accommodate crating or specific separation needs if required to keep everyone safe, happy, and relaxed.

“He made sure to check with me about all her needs, and follwed the instructions perfectly. My pup absolutely loved him, she had a blast. He also sent me pictures and check ups on her for her whole stay, which I greatly appreciated!”

About: I have always had a fur baby in my life. My husband and I recently lost both of our dogs and cat. I love walking, playing, snuggling and all other activities with pups. I will work with you on what your needs are for your fur family member while you are away. My ultimate goal is to have my own full time doggie care. I live in a neighborhood that’s great for walking or going to dog park at Sokol Park. I provide pickup and drop-off within a 10 miles. Above all, I will treat your pet like a member of my family & love on them while you’re away. I’m a PreK teacher so I’m free during the summer and most holidays. Even during the school year I am still able to stay at a client’s house if pet can be let alone during the day. My husband works from home so your pet will have someone with them during the day. However, your pet must not be very needy so that it doesn’t interfere with his work. He does take several breaks and your pet will have availability to be outside several times a day. I enjoy sitting outside enjoying the sunshine or going for walks is also fun activities for mine. We keep a large bed for your pet, toys, and a few treats. I love taking “paw” trips to the park or pet store. I am open to most anything your dog(s) needs.

“Our experience w Catherine was EXCELLENT! We really appreciated her flexibility when our travel plans got extended. Our dog spent three weeks at Catherine's and we felt confident knowing he was well taken care of with the almost daily check ins and photos that Catherine sent. We will definitely recommend to all our friends and have Catherine watch our dog again in the future. AWESOME experience.”

About: I've been training small puppies with basic dog commands and crate training since 2014. I started my petting-sitting services in Berkeley, California. I love to walk, feed, bathe, and love puppies. I recently bought a house in Reform, Alabama, and I welcome my fur friends to join my Havanese AKC Woody Ivy and me. I'm currently in my Ph.D. program at The University of Alabama. I mostly attend classes twice a week while I am on campus. On the days I am not attending class, I am at home spending quality time with my puppy, gardening, and doing fun things around my house. I believe in constantly transitioning and supervising my puppy, offering different activities day and night. We have a routine that starts at 6 am. He goes potty and has the liberty to sniff trees or go back to sleep. He eats breakfast at 7 am, goes for a walk at 8 am and 6 pm CT (4 pm CST), plays until nap at 11a, lunch/snack at 1p, plays with toys until he is ready to play fetch, and is obedient training outside, and then we people watch on our porch (which he loves to do) while I read. We do everything together! And when the night is young, he goes to bed inside his crate, next to my bed, at 9 (ish) to rest up for another day of play.
The median cost per night for pet boarding in Northport is $40

Katy was awesome with my senior girl, Marley! She’s patient, welcoming, and made my pupper feel at home at her place while I was transitioning to Tuscaloosa for a new job. She’s communicative and was a great help to me! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a pet sitter in the area!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
