“Thank you! Alexandra was amazing, we loved getting all the pictures of our fur babies while we were gone for a week. Judging by the photos the cats were very pleased. Cannot recommend enough, she’s awesome even brought our mail in without asking and I’m pretty sure she kept my basil plant alive. We will most definitely be calling again if/ when we go out of town!! Thank you, thank you! 😊 -Krystine, Dime, Sly 🐾and Khloe 🐾”

“Rico is the best - our dogs love him! He's reliable, kind, and takes the best pictures of our furbabies. We're very grateful to have his help and highly recommend him!”

“Rebecca and Justin continue to be the best dog watchers! They send well written updates and photos of our pups playing. We’re so lucky to have found them!”

“Caroline was so awesome and took the time to get to know my cats and their routine during the meet and greet. I added some directions at the last minute based on concerns I had about my cats and Caroline was super flexible, thorough, trustworthy and communicative in checking in on my cats and making sure they were happy and healthy. All of my directions were followed completely (and there were a lot) and Caroline even went above and beyond in cleaning up after my cats. Thank you!!”

“Did a great job with my cat while I was gone! Nicole makes time for your pet, doesn’t pressure the skittish ones to come out and socialize, and does an awesome job caring for both your pet and your home. She kept my apartment clean despite my cat’s messy habits, and also cared for my temperamental mint plant.”

“Emily did a fantasic job taking care of our two dogs and our guinea pig while we were away. Her communicatiom was excellent. One of our dogs has a medical condition requiring daily vitamins and sometimes medication. Emily was vigilant in watching our animals for signs of health or discomfort. Emily went above and beyond with taking in packages and mail while we were away as well. We came home to very happy animals. We would gladly hire Emily again!”

“Lauren has been amazing with my puppy! He warmed up to her right away! Lauren asked all the right questions and made me feel comfortable and I knew I could trust her right away. I will definitely be asking Lauren to watch him again!”

About: I grew up with dogs. I helped care for the family dog and in the past 6 years have periodically dog-sat for neighbors, family and friends. I love dogs and will love your dog like they are my own. I am a teacher who works 8:15 - 4:00 Monday through Friday. I have the summers off as well as holiday breaks. I keep an active lifestyle and will make sure your dog gets daily movement. I have a fully fenced in backyard and live in a dog friendly neighborhood near a park. I have one dog, Hazel. She is amazing with other dogs and will be best friends with your dog by the end of the stay.
“My diabetic cat with urinary problems was required to take 2 types of medicine, daily. My left paralysis handicap made that impossible for me to do. Ona eased my panic. She was on time, daily and gave him both medicines as professionally as a vet would do, and encouraged him as only an animal lover knows how to do. He loved her. Ona is a kind, personable person. I would trust giving her a key for the vacation, I’m going to go on, shortly. She ”checks off all the boxes”, of someone you’d want to take care of your pets. Thank you, Ona!!!”

About: I have been breeding dogs since 2019 and have hands-on experience caring for dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and needs. Through breeding, grooming, and working closely with professional trainers and groomers in my network, I’ve developed a strong understanding of dog behavior, coat care, and handling techniques. I have groomed dogs through referrals and word of mouth and am very familiar with proper care, structure, and maintaining a calm environment. My background in the fire service has strengthened my reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to community trust. I take dog welfare seriously and treat every dog as if they were my own. I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment in my home with a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor time. Dogs are always monitored, never left unattended outside, and introductions are done slowly and safely. I’m experienced with crate training and can crate dogs if needed or requested. Cleanliness, routine, and each pet’s individual comfort and safety are always my top priorities.
About: First, what sets us apart is that we can provide pet care for many animals, not just dogs and cats. If you are someone who needs care for all of your pets such as fish, birds, and small rodents. We are very comfortable with that and we think it would be fun to provide those services too! We have been dog sitting together for friends for over the past 7 years. Kate has been for over 20 years. We live in Rochester and are "all in" with pet care. James works at an elementary school and helps out at home in the evenings. Kate is a full-time student working on her dissertation. We are able to house sit at our clients house and we fit our daily routine with wherever we are at in the city. We always make sure that the area is “pet-proofed”. Meaning that there are no choking hazards or other things that they can get to. Keeping the home tidy and clean is very important to us.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Northland-Lyceum is $20
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Northland-Lyceum
Lavinia was great for drop-in visits for our cat Taro Bun. She was a prompt and thorough communicator from the initial meet-up and through every visit after. She sent photo updates and prepared our cat's food and meds as instructed. Lavinia is very reliable and responsible and I was glad we could trust Taro to her care while we were out this holiday weekend.

Jessica took amazing care of our dog while he has been recovering from a vestibular issue, and not feeling his best. She was responsible, attentive, learned about his unique condition, and kept in touch with updates throughout the day. She did a great job and I highly recommend her. .

Holly is wonderful! We were lucky she was available for a couple last-minute drop-in appointments. She texted back quickly. Our cat, who hates to be held, needs to have her paws dipped into a medication solution for as close to 5 mins as possible everyday. Not only was Holly unfazed by this task, but she was more successful with it than we often are! She is clearly familiar with animal behavior and is willing and able to adapt to pet’s personality to keep them healthy and happy. She adjusted her approach as she went based on her observations, which let me know she was really paying attention during visits. Holly is also communicative and easy to talk to. 10/10 would recommend
