I have grown up around cats, and started taking care of my little housemates at the age of 5. I have spent plenty of time around dogs as well recently getting the chance to help care for my parents new puppy! I love taking Finn on long walks and playing fetch and tug of war, and would love the chance to care for your pup in the same way! Having experienced walking a rowdy puppy instills confidence that I will be able to handle anything your fur baby throws my way!

I have a cat and have experience taking care of shy cats. I understand that having a new person in their space could make them anxious and thusly know to respect them and their boundaries. Additionally with my experience caretaking for a puppy I know how to asses situations for safe walking with dogs.

We had a last minute need for care over February break, so not an easy time to find someone. In came Baela to the rescue! Her schedule lined up with our kitten’s normal feeding times, too, so that was a bonus! She spent time playing with our little high energy guy each visit, and followed our directions perfectly. Thank you, Baela!
Baela had watched my cats twice now, and she’s so patient with my anxious boy! She can read his body language and keeps interactions within his comfort zone (while still getting him to take his medicine!) I was happy with her communication before and during my trip.
We are quite disappointed with the timing of Baela's visits. Our cat is on a specific schedule for food and medicine, which is why I ordered visits for 7:30am and 7:30pm each day. Being a half hour to an hour late would be acceptable once or twice, as we understand that life happens and it wouldn't affect our cat too much. But being 1 to 4 hours late multiple times, and in fact only being there at the requested time once, caused us a lot of worry about our cat while we were away. It seemed like while she was there he was taken care of well, played with, fed, and petted at least. But we will probably get a different sitter next time who can make sure our cat gets his medication on schedule.
Baela was great with my dog Simba! She is friendly and clearly has a natural way with animals. My dog is very anxious around new people, Baela was patient with him and he warmed up to her after their time together. I appreciated her communication and the updates she sent during the visit. Would definitely book her again!
Baela did a great job taking care of my two cats! One of them is a little bit difficult and needed medication, and she took care of it no problem. My cats were happy when I got home, and everything was in order. Baela communicated very well before and during my trip. I would definitely recommend Baela and would use her again next time I go out of town.

Schedule
I am a graduate student at university of Rochester and have chunks of time at the beginning and end of day. On the weekends I have full availability and would be able to take any time slot.
