“I needed someone to check in our almost 6-month old puppy while my family was out of the house for the day. Lavinia was wonderful and easy to work from our very first communication. She was prompt, provided great communication, my pup and cats loved her, and she shared great pics of her time with my puppy. I will absolutely be using her again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others.”

“Rico is terrific with our two Irish Red & White Setters. He is attentive, caring, reliable and trustworthy. Rico is quickly becoming part of our ohana. We'd be lost without him!”

“Nicole is great! She kept is well informed on how the dogs were doing, and they were happy and at ease when we returned from our trip! I recommend Nicole for sure!”

“I'm so glad I booked with Caroline for my first time on Rover. She was super professional and thorough, great communication, and even took excellent photos of the kitties! Everything was in tip top shape when I got home. I would happily leave my babies in her care again.”

“Rebecca and Justin did a great job taking care of our cat Cody while we were out of town. This is the second time they've taken care of her and we'll continue to rebook whenever we're in need of a cat-sitter. They always send lots of pictures and send great updates, and Cody took to them very well, and she normally can be a bit slow to warm up to new folks. Thanks again Rebecca and Justin!”

“Madeline was awesome! She was communicative, sent wonderful photos, and did a great job! We were able to rest easy knowing our cat was in great hands while we’re away! Thanks, Madeline!”

“Alexandra is a fantastic dog sitter. She dog sat my 3 dogs at home, by dropping by. She send me fantastic pictures of my furbabies. You can tell the fun and happiness my dogs are having with her. I love all the photos she took and the best ones are the active shots she took of them. I had no stress and was worry free for a week on a wedding vacation. I definitely recommend her to take care of your furbabies.”

“Baela did a great job taking care of my two cats! One of them is a little bit difficult and needed medication, and she took care of it no problem. My cats were happy when I got home, and everything was in order. Baela communicated very well before and during my trip. I would definitely recommend Baela and would use her again next time I go out of town.”

About: I own a Husky mix named Prisma who is turning 3 this year. She is quite energic and also epileptic. She is my daily experience. However I have sat for dog a bit bigger and much smaller! That includes Shihztus, Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, and Border Collies. I'm patient and responsible. My goal in any work field, but especially with your loved ones and possessions, is being reliable and communicating. This is what I find in my experience to be key for providing the best care and peace of mind. I work full time as a receptionist Mon - Fri, 8 to 4:30. This provides a lot of morning visits and overnight potential. Evening walks would works great as well. For specific requests, I can even dip into PTO to make the right situation work if a mid day visit is required during the work week. My Saturdays and Sundays are fully open at this time. I'm very patient and observant when interacting with pets of different personalities. Once informed on how you'd like your loved one to be cared for, I will do so in that manner. An obvious statement, but you'd be surprised how important that is to be said. If unsure or uncertain of care, we can brainstorm together as well to make sure I'm the correct sitter for the job.
“Joey is amazing with all my animals. My Cane Corso takes special introducing and not everyone I introduce him to takes the job. He liked Joey from the first day. I actually have a little farmstead with several types of animals, including a horse, a goat, an emu, over 50 chickens and other types of fowl. I even feed some of the wildlife! Joey does all of it. I get great pics and I'm always so happy with the detailed list he leaves of all the chores and extras that he does. He even remembers things that I forget to mention sometimes! Number one call for me all the time is Joey. Besides, he gave me a very reasonable farmstead rate. I highly recommend this sitter, especially if you have animals not listed on Rover!”

“If you’re looking for peace of mind with your fur babies then look no further. Steffen went above and beyond for my two senior pups while I was out of town. Not only was he great with them, his communication with me was also on point. He genuinely cares and really sets the bar high for other sitters. Thank you again”

About: I've helped care for dogs and cats of friends when they are out of town, including walking, feeding, and cleaning up after them (including puppies, which frequently had to be cleaned up after, which I have no problem with). I am capable of handling anything that comes my way and am not easily stressed. Animal care and owner communication are my first priorities. I will do whatever you need to care for your pets, such as letting them outside in a fenced yard or putting them in a crate at the end of the visit. As I work full time, my schedule typically is weekends. However, I can do early morning walks before 8 am or after 6 pm during weekdays. Pets will be monitored closely. I stick to instructions and will ask questions if I have them. Animals will be treated with patience and respect. If house-sitting, I always put things back in their proper place and avoid touching anything that isn't required for pet care. I myself don't enjoy when folks move my things around, so I keep my hands off!
About: A recent graduate of the Eastman School of Music, I'm currently playing with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra as a flutist! I've been missing my spunky dog Kora who lives back home and have always grown up with dogs, which is why I've been a sitter for Rover since I moved here in 2021. I love going for walks/runs, just hanging out, or lying next to my fireplace at home-- hopefully your dog loves some of these too! I've been taking care of dogs in total for around 15 years now, so I'm used to taking them out fairly frequently, getting up early for a morning walk, and bathing them. I am more than happy to take your dogs on a walk or watch them in my apartment, and make sure they're well-fed, have time to play, and are happy while you can go about your day :) I've raised my dog Kora from puppyhood and am very familiar with the training required for puppies. I have also fostered a handful of dogs (small dogs and one large dog) over the last few years and have experienced shy dogs who take some time to come out of their shells :) As a musician, I have a few hours here and there scattered throughout my day that I can walk or stop by/watch your pup. I'm a very active person and love being outside! I am more than happy to be outside/in your home with them as well! I unfortunately cannot house your furry friends because of my housing situation.

Olivia did an excellent job watching our cat. She is clearly very good with animals and our anxious cat took to her immediately. she was communicative and on time every day and I appreciated how thoughtful she was cleaning around the litterbox. I would happily have her watch our cat again!

We are super thankful Matt was available to care for our anxious half fox/ half rabbit (chihuahua mix) and grey tabby and send us photos of our babies during our week long vacay out of state. Canelo quickly warmed up to Matt and was happy to make a new friend. Matt went the extra mile by cleaning up some unwanted ants, offering to take out the trash, and buying food when we ran low. I most definitely recommend him!

Leslie took amazing care of two of my very stressed out cats right after I’d moved into a new apartment! I came back from retrieving my third cat to find two happy, well-cared-for kitties who are starting to adjust to their new surroundings. :) Thank you so much!!
