“Matt stayed with our two cats and administered insulin to our oldest cat Mojo despite some challenges with Mojo being uncooperative. Matt was good at communicating any issues and seeking help. He cared for our house very well and left it clean and in good shape. I would recommend Matt.”

“James is such an amazing cat sitter and cat whisperer! He enjoys hanging with each cat, brushing them, petting them and playing with them. He is reliable and consistent. It was a comfort being away, knowing our kitties were in such good hands.”

“Jeremy was awesome. It was my first time using Rover, just after moving to a new home, and Jeremy was patient and attentive to my nervous cat who was still getting used to a new setting. He was communicative and professional, respectful of my home, and I highly recommend him to anyone interested!”

“Definitely want to book Anna again! My little orange old lady cat was very well taken care of. Traveling when you have a senior animal is stressful, but Anna was thorough and Marmalade obviously liked her!”

“Eliza was great! I contacted her with very short notice, and as a new Rover client, about setting up daily visits with my orange tabby, Charlie, while I was away. She responded promptly and communicated clearly. She rearranged her schedule to meet with Charlie and me before I left, and I could tell immediately that Eliza is a true cat person. She has a calm, gentle way about her. It was reassuring to know she would be checking on my pet, and making sure he was well cared for. Throughout the week, I found her highly responsive to my messages, and gracious when my own responses were delayed. Overall, she’s a respectful, caring, and attentive pet sitter.”

“Great experience with Emily. She's conscientious, reliable, sends terrific and fun updates on each visit, and is willing to take on extra tasks like taking our cat to the vet when we discovered he had worms right before leaving town. She and our cat Zeke really hit it off, as I'm sure she would with any animal. Would definitely book her again.”

“Molly took great care of our four cats who were still uncomfortable with one another after a move. We came home to a spotless house and happy cats. She's terrific.”

“Kristin was a wonderful cat sitter who took great care of my two kitties while I was away. She was conscientious and communicative, sending updates and photos keeping me well informed of everything happening back home. Highly recommended!”

About: I am my friends’ go-to cat sitter. I give your pets the attention, care, and love that they want and need with every home visit. I am a PhD student at UMass and am be flexible to do cat care home visits on evenings and weekends at homes in the Pioneer Valley. My own cat is high anxiety and not fond of strangers, so I am experienced at reading cat body language and giving them that “just right” balance between attention and space.

“Sofie went above and beyond to take care of our 2 cats and our home. Sending us pictures everyday, playing with the kitties, taking proper care of them, and our apartment was spotless when we returned! Cannot recommend enough! THANK YOU SOFIE”

About: I have had a deep love of animals as long as I can remember…This led me to receive my AVA certificate in 2020. I worked at a Tufts Clinic caring for animals both big and small gaining hands-on experience in total animal welfare. This time allowed me to gain an even deeper appreciation for our furry companions :) I’m currently taking classes and working part - time so I am pretty available throughout the weekdays. I am available on most weekends so please feel free to ask and I will let you know! I live in a large house with plenty of space for animals to explore and I also live in a community with great sidewalks and parks within walking distance from my home for your fur babies to play. At your house my attention is on your pet always. I grew up in a household where dogs and cats have always been an integral part of my life and I find a lot of joy in having them around :)

“Sarah cared for our shy cat while we were gone for a week and got her to feel comfortable and safe! It was comforting to know that our cat was in good hands while we were gone, and was getting the cuddles and care she needed :)”

About: Lifelong dog lover skilled with reactive, anxious dogs and puppies—experienced in training, stimulation, and gentle, attentive care. I am a dog mom myself! My Dogs name is Eggy who is a 2 year old rescue with a love of balls and social anxiety. I am currently in graduate school working towards my masters in clinical social work. With this, I have ample time to spend with furry friends. Entering someone’s home is an honor and a privilege, especially when you are in-trusted with the care and safety of a pet. With this I try to respect the expectations of every pet parent and every pet. I work to leave a home as I found it, be mindful of the needs of each pet, and express my gratitude.

About: I've been cat-sitting for almost 20 years for friends and family. I also have experience volunteering at cat shelters in MA (e.g., Ellen Gifford cat shelter in Brighton, MA) where I cared for a range of cats from kittens to elderly cats with special needs. I am a proud cat dad of a bonded pair of 5-year old kitties. I love animals and am looking for more cat-sitting opportunities here in the pioneer valley. I recently moved to Northampton and am a professor at Smith College! I currently work at Smith College as a professor. I am available for drop-in visits in your home to care for your cat both in the morning and evening. I think it’s paramount to follow routine for a cat in their own home, especially if they might have even a little separation anxiety. I am excellent at following instructions and am happy to do what I can to make your cat happy and comfortable!
