I was able to contact him around 7:00 a.m. so he could come over and take care of the dogs. Potentially it could have been an overnight, but that wasn't needed. It was so wonderful to know that my dogs would be well cared for before and after my return home! Usually he just comes for a drop-in visit every other week, but this required more visits. I love animals and I had a cat named Precious for 18 years. I got a job at a vet hospital not only because I loved pets but because it was best for Precious. I was able to give her the best quality of life through my job and she sadly passed away in 2025. She was my special girl and I am ready to start caring for animals again. They matter a lot to me and I can’t bring myself to get another cat so I figured all the love and care I have in my heart, I should use it for good and help others in taking care of their precious babies. About: I've taken care of pets from dogs to lizards since I was 12, and have been doing drop-ins and house-sitting for family, friends, and my community for as long as I've been able to drive. I'm able to give meds for older dogs with more needs, and have trained my own dogs well in obedience training, so I have plenty of experience with a firm voice for more unruly dogs that need a little extra attention. I'm good with all animals (even the wild ones), and have experience caring for animals that need to stay separated, and am willing and able to adapt to any family I need. I currently am between jobs, the only duty I have is taking care of my own pets (amd occasionally younger siblings) so I have plenty of time to look after and care for pets I have a gentle hand and a firm voice, and have experience with obedience-training dogs particularly, and have faith in my ability to care for even the more unruly of pets. I am comfortable with crate-training and crate-trained dogs, as well as shutting them in their own room when no one is present in the home. I also have good leash experience, so walks would be easy and comfortable for me.

About: I’ve always grown up in a home with at least two animals, so caring for pets has been a natural part of my life. My experience goes beyond just dogs and cats—I’ve also cared for birds and bearded dragons, and I truly love animals of all kinds! I’m happy to meet you and your pet wherever you need the most support. I’m comfortable maintaining established training routines, keeping pet areas clean and organized, and providing extra care for senior or special-needs animals. This includes assisting with medications, helping navigate stairs, providing diaper changes when needed, and giving them the patience, attention, and comfort they deserve. Whether your pet needs a long walk, some playtime and cuddles, help sticking to their routine, or a little extra care and attention, I’m happy to help! I’m a college student with classes primarily in the mornings and typically finish in the mid-afternoon, giving me plenty of flexibility for pet care throughout the week. I’m available full-time on weekends and if needed during the week, I can often stop by in the early mornings, during lunch breaks, or in the afternoons to make sure your pets are happy and on schedule. I understand that every pet has a different routine, so I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits their needs. I’m also committed to communicating my class schedule and availability clearly and promptly, while making sure we’re on the same page about your pet’s care, routines, and expectations. Your pet’s well-being comes first, and I’ll make sure you feel confident knowing they’re in reliable and caring hands! I treat every pet and home with the same care, respect, and attention I would want for my own. Before each booking, I make sure I understand the pet’s routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, training expectations, and any special instructions. I would love to stop by and meet you and your pet prior to the booking if possible, putting faces to names. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and make sure everything is kept clean and secure. I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. Depending on the service will dictate how much time in your space I will spend. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets or animals who need extra assistance, including help with stairs, diapers, or medications. I’ll communicate with the owner throughout the booking and am happy to provide updates and photos so they know their pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and currently have two cats of my own & previously owned a medium sized dog. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets while you’re away. I’m comfortable with feeding, playtime, walks, litter box care, and giving pets plenty of attention and affection. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care! I work mornings and am typically off by noon, so I have plenty of availability for pet care in the afternoons and evenings. I occasionally have afternoon appointments, but my schedule is flexible and I’ll always communicate my availability in advance. I’ll always follow your pet’s normal routine and any instructions you provide to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m attentive, patient, and respectful of your home, and I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of care, attention, and love while you’re away.

“Barbara was truly wonderful! Everything about our experience with her was perfect. We had a lovely meet and greet where she came to our house and met our two dogs, who instantly loved her! She stayed with them for four days/nights while we were away. Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty! Gus is a very old, enormous Rottweiler who needs help getting up from the floor. Barbara was totally willing to help this dignified old guy up, and also guiding him outside (he is deaf and partially blind). I could see that Gus felt very safe and comfortable with her, which is not the case with everyone since he feels very vulnerable now in his elder years. And our youngster Sammy who is a bundle of energy, was ecstatic to have a new friend who would play with him. Unfortunately Sammy had a bad tummy during the weekend, and Barbara was up with him several nights, making sure he was comfortable and taking him out for frequent relief walks. During my time away Barbara sent pictures and updates throughout the day to put my mind at ease. This was my first time leaving my precious fur babies with anyone other than a family member, and I was nervous, but Barbara did everything she could to make this a very special experience for all of us. When I came back, both dogs were totally bonded with Barbara and Sammy especially did not want her to leave! We will definitely be using Barbara’s services again!”
