She truly cares for pets and it was so relieving to know they were well cared for while we had a trip for a family member in the hospital. About: I’m currently active duty Air Force, newly stationed in Hampton, VA. Since I can’t have pets in the dorms, caring for yours is the next best thing and honestly, it makes my day every time I get to spend time with animals. Before moving here, I volunteered for several years at nonprofit rescues that specialize in disabled and special-needs animals. My responsibilities included feeding, bathing, cleaning kennels and litter boxes, refreshing bedding, and making sure each animal got individual attention and affection. I also assisted with basic grooming, gentle handling for nervous pets, and light training reinforcement during play or walks. Since moving to Virginia, I’ve been volunteering at The Cat Corner in Hampton, where I work exclusively with cats. I help with feeding, litter changes, sanitizing enclosures, and socializing cats to prepare them for adoption. It’s helped me become especially good at reading feline body language and handling shy or anxious cats. I also have experience with house sitting, dog sitting, cat sitting, and snake sitting, so I’m very comfortable adapting to each pet’s unique personality and routine. Whether that means sticking to a feeding schedule, going for long walks, keeping up with playtime, or sending regular photo updates. I always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their people are away. When I’m not working or volunteering, I love spending time outdoors, reading, cooking, going to the gym, and exploring Virginia. I’m also working toward becoming a lawyer while continuing my military career and of course, always finding ways to stay close to animals and help those in need. I’d love to help care for your pets like they’re my own with patience, reliability, flexibility, and plenty of love. I’m currently in the military, so my schedule varies often. However I am more than able to take care of your fur babies either in the morning, afternoon, and the evening. I am more than happy to care for your pets at your home, however my cats are still adjusting to getting adopted! I will keep your baby on their schedule with eating and using the restroom, but if you’d like anything else added, please don’t hesitate!
“Halley was awesome! Super responsive and very kind. She treated our house with respect and our little beagle was a happy fella when we got home! Hoping to stay in touch with Halley for our dog sitting!”

“Nikki was amazing with Bailey. Lots of pics and updates. I could tell he was loving it up and not missing us at all. We were gone for a week. Definitely will use Nikki in the future.”

About: I am a licensed attorney by day and lifelong animal lover at heart. I currently work remotely with a flexible schedule while spending time in Virginia helping and supporting my mother as she approaches retirement. My flexibility allows me to provide attentive, reliable care for pets throughout the day, evenings, and overnight stays. I began my own small dog-walking business in San Francisco while I was in college and later worked through Rover walking large-breed dogs and cat-sitting while studying for the California Bar Exam and working as a paralegal. I am comfortable with both small and large dogs, but I especially love giant breeds like Great Danes. I also adore cats and currently have my own beloved cat, DJ Mustard, who has made me even more attentive to feline personalities, routines, and comfort. Animals have always brought joy and grounding to my life. I believe pets deserve patient, loving, observant care and that owners should feel completely comfortable while away from home. I am calm, responsible, communicative, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality and routines. For overnight stays, I also offer optional extras at a bargain cost including homemade pet treats from recipes I have developed myself as well as seasonal or holiday-themed pet portraits and photos. I offer discounts for teachers and service members in honor of my mother, who is a teacher, and my grandfather, who served in the United States Navy. Whether your pet needs companionship, playtime, medication, overnight comfort, or simply someone dependable and kind, I would love the opportunity to care for them. As a remote professional with a flexible schedule, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine through walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, overnight care, and check-ins. Licensed attorney with extensive background checks who provides attentive in-home pet care, including walks, feeding, playtime, cleaning, companionship, overnight support, and thoughtful communication updates.

Also depending on the circumstances I am able to follow any instructions given to me to make sure the animal I am sitting for is taken care of properly. “Sam took great care of my dog while I was away. Gave consistent updates and also reached out if she had questions about anything needed. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone to genuinely care for your animal.”

About: I've been involved with dogs for well over 25 years. We first owned a Greyhound for 12-ish years. After that, I volunteered at our local SPCA, providing dogs that were waiting for adoption walks and socialization. Later, I became a foster parent for a Working-Dog training school. As a semi-retired person, I have plenty of time to watch, walk, and play with your loved-one. Let me know if there are specific skills that you wish me to reinforce, or activities that you wish me to do. I will abide by all rules of a clients home and walk/play on a schedule that you set. I can also pick up the mail and bring it in/place it where is goes.
About: My love for animals has been life long. In my younger years I would go spend summers in Virginia and volunteered at the Virginia Living Museum; where I was able to interact with many different kinds of animals. When I was in the 4th grade, my friend Alexa and I started a dog washing, walking and playing business called “A Pet-ter Place”. I have taken small animal management classes as well as an equine science class. I have had dogs my whole life. My dog Junebug has diabetes, so I know and I feel comfortable giving insulin shots. To wrap everything up I am no stranger to the world or animal and pet care and I would love to help take care of your fur babies! :) I’m a Realtor, so my schedule is pretty flexible! I can stop by almost anytime you need—whether it’s to check on your pets, take them for a walk, feed them, or just give them some playtime. My goal is to replicate your pets’ usual routine as closely as possible so they stay comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I take safety seriously—always locking up after visits and ensuring your home is left exactly as it was before.
“Talaya took excellent care of Duke, walks and enrichment activities. I think he’s disappointed she wasn’t back again today! Looking forward to the next trip knowing he’ll be in great hands. 🐾💜”

Foxhill pet parents share their Rover experiences
Sierra was incredibly competent, understanding, and could not be a better addition into my dog's life and regime. She's handled complicated and unusual situations with the poise of a seasoned professional, and I wouldn't have even expected to ask the level of time and effort she put in. I'm glad she likes us, because she's definitely stuck with us for a while.

Trevor was amazing! A last minute need to go out of town was made SO much easier because of his willingness to jump in and help. He made the time to meet us beforehand and asked great questions. Our pets were not only taken care of but loved in our absence and we are very grateful.

I could not have asked for a better dog sitter!!! She went above and beyond with the care she provided to my baby!!! From the moment I met her at our meet and greet, it was evident how knowledgeable and experienced she is with pet care. She didn’t bat an eye at the extra care Luna needs for some health issues and she was comfortable administering Luna’s medicine. I had complete peace of mind while I was out of town with the many updates, pictures, and even videos Ashley would send to me!! I cannot recommend her enough!!! I will definitely be using her again! Thank you Ashley!!!

Thank goodness we found Kynleigh when we did! Kynleigh went above and beyond to make our five year old, often a handful, labradoodle, comfortable (and happy :) while we were gone. She sent pictures and videos every day and we even came home to a clean home and sheets-- thank you, Kynleigh! We will be using her next time and feel fortunate we now can!

David supported my last minute request to watch my four pups. He was very respectful, responsive and on time. The task to take care of my pup with IVDD, without training had to be hard for David, but he tackled it to the best of his ability. My only complaint is that he did not place a new potty pad underneath her before he left. Overall, my case was special, but nothing a little training can’t fix.
