“We love Tina! She has provided excellent care for my deaf dog Sassy and even knows sign language. She is great at keeping you up to date of what your pet has been up to while at work. I look forward to continue working with Tina!”

“Ian is great with our girls. They have nothing but smiles after every walk with him and he is always so helpful when we find ourselves in a pinch, from giving the girls another walk when we where stuck at the airport to even learning how to feed our bearded dragons for when we go on vacation. We are very very happy with Ian and will continue to book with him for sure.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs most of my life. I currently help my parents with their two dogs and have pet sat for many family friends throughout the years. Currently between jobs and have open availability. That is subject to change when I find a new job. If you have any questions feel free to reach out ☺️ I will play with, walk, and care for your pets and home as if they were my own. I am also capable of giving prescription medications to your pet if necessary for their day to day.
About: I love dogs (and cats)! I grew up with cats but dogs are my passion. I have a chocolate lab named Bear. I volunteered at both the Erie SPCA and at Niagara SPCA walking all breeds of dogs. We try to teach manners at the SPCA and so am familiar with the basic training techniques. I enjoy walks around the neighborhood letting them enjoy the sights and smells. Even if they are difficult to walk, I am still comfortable with that. I love giving belly rubs but snuggling with them is the best! Will administer medication as needed. I am available to take them for vet visits or grooming as well. I am also able to house sit with light cleaning however focus is always on the dog/dogs. I am retired and so have a flexible schedule. I will take care of your pets in a timely manner and will spend evenings with them. However, I do leave to eat at home and other personal chores. I work with you to keep your fur baby safe. Whatever works for you is what I will do. I want your pet to feel secure.
“JULIANNA has been a great dog walker and sitter to us during the time that she's been with us.We've had no issues.shes super sweet and dependable. Our dog gets along with her perfectly and she gives the best care!!”

About: I grew up with at least 2 shepherds in my house at any time and learned through doing how to take care of them. I love developing a relationship with a new dog through training and play with dogs of all sizes and ages. I currently work as an audio engineer for a band so the work is sporadic and requires me to travel. Dog sitting allows me to fill in the awkward gaps. I love to take dogs out to parks with my 2 year old Doberman (if you like). He is extremely sweet and gentle as well as a great play mate.

About: I have experience taking care of pets, as I have owned a dog myself. I've worked in animal care most of my career, working for institutions such as The Buffalo Zoo, Hidden Valley Animal Adventure, Pet Supplies Plus, dog kennels, etc. I love being around animals, and intend to do so the rest of my life! I'm currently working as a personal trainer at Catalyst Fitness, so I am needed when clients have training sessions. However, this will never extend for more than a few hours (at most maybe 4-5) at a time. So even if I need to go to a training session(s), I can be right back to take care of the animals afterwards! I can constantly provide your pets with enrichment. Whether that be through walking, playing, or just general outside time. I love nature/the environment, so I love getting outdoors. So if that's what your pets enjoy I can absolutely provide! However, I realize animals have a wide spectrum of emotions and preferences, so I am very flexible to provide whatever is best for your pets!
About: All 3 of my animals I've owned throughout my life have lived full, happy lives. They also, however, required close supervision. Both cats were outdoor cats which required consistent grooming, tick repellant, and even medicine administration for when they ate something they shouldn't have, or developed infections (administering pills to a cat is a skill I'm proud to put on my resume.) My dog Connor developed an autoimmune disease, and required prednisone administration daily. He was also a very reactive dog to other dogs, so those behaviors I am very well-versed in handling. The same can be said for my partner's family's two dogs (black lab mix and white Dogo Argentino), and my sister's pug mix. Dogs are reactive for a reason and I do not judge them for it, I'm happy to accommodate their predispositions. I work completely remote (and to be truthful it's a pretty chill job day to day) so I'd consider myself the best option as someone who has a full time job outside of Rover! Plus, I love the company of pet sitting during the week. I'm of the belief that cats and dogs belong on the couch and the bed, so in my home they are allowed wherever they please. That being said, if you have more strict rules for your animals either inside my home or yours, I completely understand and have no problem carrying out your wishes (obviously.) My care style is attentive. I know that's another obvious answer, but I've always loved interacting with animals, playing with them, etc. It makes me happy.

About: With 15 years of pet care experience, I’m dependable and attentive. I make sure every dog or cat feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for. My schedule is very flexible and open, so I can easily fit in walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays whenever needed. I plan around each pet’s routine. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect as my own. I follow any instructions or schedules closely, and make sure pets feel safe and comfortable.
About: As a lifetime pet owner, until recently, I have owned dogs for all of my life, and I’ve gone above and beyond in the care of my pets and their needs. I had my last dog from when I was in 6th grade all the way until I was a Junior in college. Through this time, I watched him develop from a puppy to a senior dog with senior needs, including strenuous lifting and even diaper changes. I am willing to go to the same lengths when caring for your beloved pets! Throughout my life, I’ve also helped my friends care for their dogs and pets. I understand the bond between an owner and their pets, and the sacred nature of letting someone else take care of them, even for a short period of time. I am currently pursuing an online Master's Degree through SUNY Oswego, and I am relatively free for the time being. I could fit your care needs into any of my days. With experience in caring for pups and cats, I can pretty much do anything you would need me to do in your home, from feeding, to walking, to crating, to keeping them excited and entertained.
About: I’ve taken care of friends’ & my family’s cats/dogs for 15 years, including my own 6 year old cat. It’s my pleasure to help feed, walk, or take care of anyone’s fur baby. I’ll treat them like my own! Weekdays are ideal! I work remotely full-time, so my weekday availability is very flexible. I finish at 4pm but easy/happy to make time throughout the day for walks & drop-in visits . Also available most weekends, no set schedule! I’m currently only offering drop-in visits & walks. I live in LoDo (Lower Downtown Denver) but happy to walk or drive to wherever I’m needed!
About: Αγαπάω όλα τα σκυλάκια 💜🖤 Warm cozy, blankets and dog beds for those cold day and Central air conditioning for those hot days! I am a social worker by profession but also lifestyle. I have realized my goal in life is to use my empathy to good use. I have several important goals I follow while watching your doggies: 1. What does your dog need? Does it need space,Play time, some love or a squirrel? Dog personalities are similar to humans and being in a different environment can change moods; we all need and want different things. I stay mindful of what those are and accommodate to the best of ability. 2. Treat all the dogs in my home as I would want my dogs to be treated. If I am having a busy workday, I still let the babies lay on my lap. Or when I get up for a moment, I give each doggo a pet and say hello I want them to feel loved and safe like they do in their own home. 3 No favoritism. Of course I have my favorites but I don’t tell the dogs that 🤷♀️ I work from home most of the week and my job is fairly flexible. Sometimes I will have to step out for an hour or two but there is always someone home. We offer plenty of treats, non toxic chews, bones (to dogs without allergies and who have been okayed). We have play mats, play puzzles, billions of toys, dog pools for the hot summer days and multiple gates, some installed (In case of aggressive eaters or food stealers), we are stocked with washable puppy pee pads ( in case your dog has issues using the potty, diapers will be requested if it is a medical issue), we have a lot of dog beds and dogs are allowed on the sofa and sleep in our bed (if they choose to). Oh yeah, your doggie will be placed into one of the four Harry Potter houses by the sorting hat lol. Tons of pictures will be provided!!
About: As Adoption Coordinator for the Oahu SPCA, I've seen it all. I've cared for dogs and cats in a clinical setting, as a foster, owner, and sitter for many years. I've found homes for countless animals in a rescue setting. And more than anything, I want your pet to feel safe and happy when their loving family is away. I work for myself from home, so my schedule is flexible and I can spend lots of quality time with your baby. Your pet will have no shortage of attention, snuggles, quality time and exercise. Dogs love routine- whether they're staying with me or at your house. Waking up at the same time each morning makes certain they get the ya-ya's out and don't have to wait to go potty. Puppies and older dogs with more urgent bladder needs will of course be accomodated with extra supervised trips outside and puppy pads if needed. I'm very conscious that there are no animal-toxic foods/plants/fragrances left out for pets to get into. You can rest assured your pet will be fed the proper amounts, medicines, and brands of your choice to protect their digestive system. My home offers a big beautiful bike path on the river, where your pet will get tons of good walks and a big house to explore. For cats, I have a large but contained space for them to roam and also find seclusion without getting lost. Their litter box will stay in the same spot every time so they know where to go, and they will always have fresh litter. I would love to play with them so bring their favorite toys! No other pets are in the home as all of our babies passed of old age. Adult family members share the home, so there is extra help. No kiddos are in the home so no concerns there. If in your home, I'm very diligent about making sure doors are secure and locked so pets don't escape. I always know where your pet is and make sure their environment is calm and quiet.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Tonawanda
Thank you Kendra. Reggie definitely appreciates the breaks you gave him. He is often anxious when we return but he was very content when you brought him back. We were able to enjoy Niagara Falls and the Bills game knowing that Reggie was walked and cared for. It was great meeting you. Your texts and photos kept me confident of his care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
