“I have used Andrea’s dog walking service many times. Andrea is very dependable. She has a great personality . She comes prepared with treats, bags and water and always takes a picture of Buddy , and sends to me ! 100% recommend Andrea !”

“Ian is great with our girls. They have nothing but smiles after every walk with him and he is always so helpful when we find ourselves in a pinch, from giving the girls another walk when we where stuck at the airport to even learning how to feed our bearded dragons for when we go on vacation. We are very very happy with Ian and will continue to book with him for sure.”

“Holly has been walking my dog, Amelia, three times a week for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier. She’s my first dog walker, and the experience has been excellent. Holly is consistent, communicates clearly before and after every walk, and always sends photos, which I really appreciate. Most importantly, Amelia seems to really like her! I’m so glad I found Holly, she has been a wonderful help.”

“The proof of Jackie’s expertise is with the pups. They adored her. She is obviously a dog person. We’ll be booking her again as a sitter. I know that bean and sprout will have a wonderful time with her. Thanks Jackie!”

“Brianna was absolutely wonderful. So kind and caring, she took such good care of my puppy like she was her own. Took her on walks, played with her, laid with her, fed her made sure she went to the bathroom before she left. Will be using her again!!!”

About: I've fostered and trained 14 puppies until they found their forever homes, with organizations like R.A.R.E Rescue and Big Fluffy Dog Rescue. I especially love teaching puppies tricks, such as "sit," "spin," "come here," I can teach them to recognize their names, and I can potty and crate train as well. I used to volunteer at the Nashville Humane Society walking and socializing dogs and cats, and I have experience taking care of animals with special needs or special medical instructions. I love taking pictures of cute moments and will make sure any animal staying with me is loved and cared for! I've had both cats, dogs, and a snake as pets, and I have experience petsitting other animals for neighbors such as different reptiles, ferrets, and bunnies, so I'm definitely capable of taking care of any animal with specific instructions. I am self-employed and work from home, so pet care fits perfectly into my schedule. I have flexible hours and can be available for last minute requests. I also have a car to swing by at any time to take dogs on walks throughout the day or even drive to a dog park. I just moved to New York from Tennessee, so I'm a little new to the area. If you have any special requests, I'd love to help out in any way I can!
“We love Tina! She has provided excellent care for my deaf dog Sassy and even knows sign language. She is great at keeping you up to date of what your pet has been up to while at work. I look forward to continue working with Tina!”

“Jennifer, you did such an excellent walking job w/Evie thru rain and flurries you kept on walking here. She really loves you. I will definitely recontact you for a future walk period. All the best to you, Bill”

About: I have experience taking care of pets, as I have owned a dog myself. I've worked in animal care most of my career, working for institutions such as The Buffalo Zoo, Hidden Valley Animal Adventure, Pet Supplies Plus, dog kennels, etc. I love being around animals, and intend to do so the rest of my life! I'm currently working as a personal trainer at Catalyst Fitness, so I am needed when clients have training sessions. However, this will never extend for more than a few hours (at most maybe 4-5) at a time. So even if I need to go to a training session(s), I can be right back to take care of the animals afterwards! I can constantly provide your pets with enrichment. Whether that be through walking, playing, or just general outside time. I love nature/the environment, so I love getting outdoors. So if that's what your pets enjoy I can absolutely provide! However, I realize animals have a wide spectrum of emotions and preferences, so I am very flexible to provide whatever is best for your pets!
About: I grew up with dogs and have taken care of multiple pups and cats over the years. I currently have a dog but she is a bit reactive with other dogs so I won’t be able to have your dog in my home. I am great with puppy training as well. Looking forward to meeting your furry friend! I am currently working full time but am available to walk dogs after 5pm during the week and anytime on the weekends. If I am dog sitting I am able to let your puppy out out during lunch u less I am working from Home! I am available for your pup throughout the weekends. Whether it’s just for a walk or company. Unfortunately, due to my own dogs reactivity I am not able to care for other dogs in my Home. N/a n/a n/a n/a n/a n
“Nicole has been fantastic to work with! She has taken Oliver on several walks and is always on time and gives us great notes and photos. And Oliver loves her, which is the most important part!”

About: Hi my name is Oz! I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a kid! I grew up with big dogs like German Shepard’s, Rottweiler’s, Huskey’s and so much more! I even took care of disable dogs such as blind ones. Honestly, big dogs are my favorite but I love all animals at the end of the day. I am currently on summer break, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate pet care throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. I am reliable, punctual, and happy to work around each pet owner’s needs. I live in a gated apartment. My unit is a studio so there is not much room for pets unfortunately. However, there’s a bunch of nearby trials.
About: I grew up with cats and dogs. I was a dog walker/pet sitter for 3 years and I loved it. I have experience with puppies/kittens to elderly cats/dogs. I am well practiced in giving a variety of medications to both cats and dogs. I go to school during the day, but I have plenty of extra time to play with cats and dogs. I’m able to regularly play with the cats and dogs, help with feeding and basic care, and make sure they get lots of attention and exercise throughout the day/week. I am familiar with a variety of locks and crates if your pet uses them. I keep a close eye of my surroundings when walking pets to ensure safety at all times.
“Claudia has been a blessing for us this past week. Because of the confidence we had in her, we were able to travel to celebrate our granddaughter's first birthday. Our beloved Henry was in good hands with Claudia and she demonstrated great compassion and consideration for his needs. It's nice to know she is pursuing a career in caring for animals with special needs, as know so many will benefit from her caring heart!”

About: Hi fellow dog lovers, my name is Rocky, a 25 yo male college undergrad that just moved here to buffalo. I’m originally from New Orleans Louisana. I come from a home of two shih-tzu dogs, (Popsicle and Levi), which I had to leave behind with my mom and sister. I enjoyed walking, feeding, stimulating, and just being all around loved by my two best friends. And I am looking to explore the same opportunities with your beloved pet. I promise to give the upmost care and attention that your pet deserves. Pick me as your personal rover walker or sitter, and let the worries go. You will come home to a relaxed, well excercised, and already gone for a potty, loving dog. That is my promise.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
