“Jackie is awesome with our dogs! She is communicative and makes sure they are well loved and well taken care of while we’re gone (and leaves the house clean and neat for our return!) we love her (and our dogs do too, most importantly!)”

“Marideth was fantastic! Very kind and responsive. She watched our 10 yr.old Jack Russell Bandit during our weekend away and kept everything in order & our Bandit had a great time! We would definitely book her services again.”

“Ezra was great with Coco! Immediately on entering our house they were calm and knew how to make our girl feel at ease with a new person (not easy - my dog is mostly cattle dog and they are suspicious of almost everyone). Ezra was responsive and thorough. Looking forward to calling them again!”

“Haley was so great and we will definitely book her again. She was super responsive, sent us updates and photos, and left the house in perfect condition. We definitely trust her with our pup!”

About: Ive had three cats and two dogs in my life. Currently I have two cats and they are my world. In many instances I've had a cat or dog that doesn't like anyone besides family come up and become my new best friend. Also have been trusted to watch multiple friends animals while on vacation because they loved our time together more than anyone else. During the week it would be a drop in sitting with minimal overnight stays after work. Which means its not out the question but not consistent. Weekends I have more flexibility for overnight stays. My cats are indoors, fed a heathly diet, and stimulated. While at the clients house its dependent on the type of animal and if the animal requires special care.
“Kendra was awesome! My dog can definitely be high maintenance at times but Kendra took great care of her, kept me updated while I was away, and took my pup on lots of adventures!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats, young and senior for 25+ years. Your pet will be family to me. And will be loved and cared for very well. In addition, I’m neat and clean. You’re home will also be well cared for. I’m presently not working. So, I will be with your pet 24/7. I like to snuggle with my pets and hope your pet will enjoy snuggling with me. I LOVE dogs and cats! Your pet will be treated as if my own. Walks and snuggles and snacks (if you permit) will be plentiful. I’m a low key, quiet person. So your pet does not have to be fearful of me.

“Allison was absolutely amazing. When I came home, I didn’t even know she was in my home. Everything was exactly the way I left it. She took very good care of my dog. She kept in contact with me and answered my text messages within 10 minutes. She even took the garbage out to the garage!! There was no dirty dishes, even in my dishwasher as I said it didn’t even look like she was here. There was no poop in my backyard. She’s amazing”

About: Hi my name is Oz! I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a kid! I grew up with big dogs like German Shepard’s, Rottweiler’s, Huskey’s and so much more! I even took care of disable dogs such as blind ones. Honestly, big dogs are my favorite but I love all animals at the end of the day. I am currently on summer break, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate pet care throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. I am reliable, punctual, and happy to work around each pet owner’s needs. I live in a gated apartment. My unit is a studio so there is not much room for pets unfortunately. However, there’s a bunch of nearby trials.
“Professional and talented house sitter! We had to leave town last minute and Elisabeth was here on schedule to meet and care for our dogs. She made record progress with our one who can be reactive to strangers, and kept them on their routine while we were away. Thanks and we will definitely rebook in the future.”

“Judith is nothing short of amazing!! She is so kind and caring and our shy & nervous girl is just in love with her. The piece of mind she gave us for our long trip away was priceless! She gave Nutmeg all the care she needed and more. We’re so grateful. We will definitely have her back soon and highly recommend her to anyone looking for top care for their pups!!!”

About: I grew up with a variety of animals all around me, but I have especial experience with dogs and cats. I am a cat mama of 1 sweet, docile senior kitty. I am a current incoming 1st year medical student at the Jacobs School of Medicine, and I would love to take care of the furry friends in my new community! I am a full-time medical student. My first priority when I return home is my sweet old kitty, and your pet would join him in that spot as well! I am prompt to give abundant attention and play, and I follow a diligent feeding schedule. My cat is very socialized (grew up in a household of 7 people and 4 other cats/dogs), and he is fully up-to-date on his vaccinations. I love animals and would love to give a little extra care to others’ fur babies when I can! The safety and wellbeing of my cat is my number one priority, and I treat all animals to this same standard. I love showering my cat with attention, and I of course would pour my love into your pet as well. I am extremely mindful of respecting animals’ boundaries as well, and playing to the tune that is right for them. I love to embrace the unique animal personalities which come my way, and I am happy to accommodate pet needs as they present!

“Timothy was awesome. Covered on short notice for a holiday weekend, let me know what was going on when I asked for updates, and left my place exactly as I found it. 100% would book again.”

“Kara is a wonderful sitter! She provided pictures and updates while we were away, giving us smiles knowing Ollie was being well taken care of. Our home was left clean and we will definitely book Kara again!”

“Lauren was so good with the animals! She sent lots of pictures and the animals looked so happy and cared for. Lauren had great communication and we would absolutely hire her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kenmore
Jennifer did a great job taking care of our 2 senior dogs, she followed all my directions and gave my pups extra attention !! This was our first time using rover and and so glad we found a trustworthy person definitely recommend Jennifer for taking care of your animals 😊

Izzy took great care of my boy and the house. She goes above and beyond and really loves animals... You can just tell. I appreciated all the picture updates and made me happy to see that he was being cared for because it's so hard to leave him when we have to go away. I highly recommend Izzy for any of your pet's needs. She's amazing!.

Ezra was great with Coco! Immediately on entering our house they were calm and knew how to make our girl feel at ease with a new person (not easy - my dog is mostly cattle dog and they are suspicious of almost everyone). Ezra was responsive and thorough. Looking forward to calling them again!

Amanda was wonderful. It was my first time using Rover and she put my mind at ease. She came over, met the dogs before housesitting. The dogs looked really happy in the picture she sent - even my skeptical dog had her tongue hanging out. Already booked Amanda again!

Bri was wonderful with our senior dog. As our dog has gotten older, it has become trickier to find someone we trust to leave her with— anxiety inducing for both us and the dog! But we felt great leaving her with Bri and came home to a very happy pup. Bri was very communicative and gave us lots of updates. We look forward to booking with her again!

We couldn't have asked for a better person to watch Dug at the house as we travelled this past weekend. From the meet and greet to the end of stay, Amy was a true gem. She contacted us upon arrival at the house, kept us informed throughout the 2 days with text messages and pictures, and cleaned up the house before leaving. Coming home to a happy dog and a clean house was very much appreciated. I would give Amy a 5+ Star rating if it went higher.

Christina was wonderful! She was very responsive, arrived on time, and was so great with Bruce! She has a lot of experience with dog/house sitting and I felt very comfortable leaving Bruce in her hands. Will definitely be using Christina again in the future. Thank you!!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kenmore walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kenmore maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kenmore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
