“Ciara goes above and beyond when taking care of my boys. From her detailed check ins assuring me all is okay to her genuine care and enthusiasm for animals, she is by far the best sitter I have had (and I’ve had many!). I can enjoy going away because I know the boys are in good hands and my place is taken care of. She is also just lovely and has a great attitude. Cannot recommend her enough!!!”

“Would I book Haley again? I already have! Haley is fantastic, she went above and beyond my expectations! Haley took AMAZING care of our three senior dogs, who have special needs. One of my dogs needs to have his bladder expressed due to a spinal injury, Haley went out of her way to learn how to express his bladder and ensure his comfort. Haley gave the dogs ample outdoor time, shared photos and detailed report cards throughout the day which gave us peace of mind. You can tell when your dogs had their basic needs met vs. when they also had enrichment (play time, cuddles, etc.), my dogs clearly had enrichment with Haley taking care of them. The dogs were happy and content when we returned home, they hardly missed us! Cannot recommend Haley highly enough.”
“Jenna currently takes care of my high energy pup multiple times a week and she has been amazing! She’s adaptable and gives my boy the care and attention that he deserves. I Highly recommend Jenna for your pet care needs!”

“Karen was great with my 2 babies! My very timid and very shy of strangers, Shadow, came out for her even after hearing her sister, Sumi, getting all the loving attention! Wholly recommend her and would hire her services again. Very kind and thoughtful and responsive.”

“An amazing sitter! She went above and beyond for us. So thankful for her and being able to drop in last minute for us. I would recommend to anyone. She handled our crazy pups so well.”

About: I have experience taking care of pets, as I have owned a dog myself. I've worked in animal care most of my career, working for institutions such as The Buffalo Zoo, Hidden Valley Animal Adventure, Pet Supplies Plus, dog kennels, etc. I love being around animals, and intend to do so the rest of my life! I'm currently working as a personal trainer at Catalyst Fitness, so I am needed when clients have training sessions. However, this will never extend for more than a few hours (at most maybe 4-5) at a time. So even if I need to go to a training session(s), I can be right back to take care of the animals afterwards! I can constantly provide your pets with enrichment. Whether that be through walking, playing, or just general outside time. I love nature/the environment, so I love getting outdoors. So if that's what your pets enjoy I can absolutely provide! However, I realize animals have a wide spectrum of emotions and preferences, so I am very flexible to provide whatever is best for your pets!
“Claudia was very communicative and easy to work with. We have a last minute trip out of town and she was super willing and flexible when we needed a sitter for our cat. Definitely will be using her again!”

About: Hi! I'm Jackie. I’ve always loved pets and have hands-on experience caring for dogs at every stage of life. I currently have a 17-year-old dog, so I’m very comfortable with senior care, including slower walks, medication routines, extra patience, and gentle attention. I also have a 3-year-old dog, which means I’m just as familiar with energetic pups who need playtime, structure, and consistency. As a teacher, patience, responsibility, and attentiveness come naturally to me. I’m great at reading behavior cues, sticking to routines, and making pets feel safe and comfortable in my care. Whether your pet is young and playful or older and needs a little extra love, I treat every animal like they’re my own. I can’t wait to meet and care for your fur babies! I work Monday through Friday from 8:00–3:30, which allows me to provide pet care before and after work. I’m available for morning feedings and walks, and evening care including walks, playtime, and cuddles. Weekends, school breaks, and holidays I have more flexibility. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, leash preferences, and house rules. I’m attentive to behavior cues and make sure pets feel calm, secure, and loved while in my care. In your home, I respect your space and work to maintain your pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and stress-free. In my home, pets are supervised, given plenty of attention, and cared for in a safe, clean environment. I’m mindful of doors, gates, leashes, and surroundings at all times.
“Christopher did a wonderful job taking care of our kitties while we were gone. We entrusted him to look after everything and we could not be more satisfied. We will definitely be reaching out to him again next time we go away.”

“Haley was exceptional in caring for our dog! Our dog is overly shy/anxious and Haley was amazing in how she approached getting our dog to trust her. It wasn’t easy, time consuming, and didn’t happen in a day but kept trying until she earned our dog’s trust! She stayed longer than she needed to when our dog was being skittish to ensure she got the necessities during a visit. Haley provided updates for every session including an overview of the session, pictures, videos, and even did some training with our dog! She played with our dog/took her for walks when she noticed our dog needed to burn some energy. She also reached out to us with any questions and asked for our opinion when needed. I will definitely be using Haley to watch our dog in the future!”

About: Hello! I started pet-sitting seriously in graduate school and had a consistent base of clients for two years. Later, I volunteered at a local humane society where I cared for and interacted with cats and dogs multiple times a week, for three years. This experience taught me a great deal more about dogs, including behaviors, breed traits, and exercise needs. While it's not my profession, animal care-taking has definitely become my passion! I treat every animal exactly how they want to be treated. Sometimes that is a lot of love and affection, but sometimes there are cats who like their distance! Whatever your animal needs, I'm happy to accommodate them. I have an extreme flexible schedule, and I can help with mid-day walks as well as routine AM/PM visits. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute needs or become a regular helper. It's an honor to have a key to someones home and to be trusted to care for their animals, and I take this very seriously. I am a guest in your home, but in that time your pet is family to me. I always make sure to leave a home neater than I found it, and will double, triple check that all is as it should be before I depart.
About: Hi. My name is Jennifer and I will take great care of your dog! I personally know the stress of needing someone reliable to watch your dog, and I would love to help people out when they need a sitter. I am a Nurse and my husband is a Physical Therapist. We have both grown up with dogs our entire lives and we are very responsible. We keep a clean house and love a home full of animals. My current dog, Penelope, is the love of my life. She has been such a great addition to my household, I could not have asked for more. She is easy going and loving towards all dogs. Even the cat loves her. Every day Penelope gets 1-2 walks a day with tons of play time in the yard. We also rotate in visits to the dog park and play dates with dog vacay pups are her favorite. My husband and I are in the medical field and am totally comfortable with any medications or recovery animals might need.
About: I have cared for dogs of a wide variety of sizes and ages. I have versatile dog care skills so you know your furry friend is in trusted hands. With ample availability, my schedule is designed around your pet's needs. I ensure daily exercise, playtime, and affection, creating a balanced and joyful routine for your furry companion. I provide attentive in-home pet care, tailored to each pet based on the needs of the pet and its owner. Feeding, medication administration, walks, etc.
About: Calling all 2nd shift workers! If your pet needs a walk or check-in during the afternoon or early evening, I'm your girl. My weekday availability is (temporarily) limited to 2:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Weekend availability is pretty open. Hello, pet people! I took a 5-year hiatus from Rover due to some life changes, but I'm back to offering walks and drop-ins. If your work schedule and busy life are keeping you from giving your pup the exercise and attention they need, I'm here to help. Pets have always been a part of my life. Currently, our family has two birds and one dog: a 26-pound Mini Pinscher mix that keeps us on our toes. Professionally, I'm a freelance pet journalist, and I've covered everything from "enforced puppy naps" to "touch sensitivity" and beyond. While I'm certainly enthusiastic about meeting any dog or cat, I also understand some pets need a gentler approach. Every dog (and cat) is an individual, with their own unique preferences and personality. That's why I'll spend some time getting to know them at our first meet-and-greet. I do freelance work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I can pop in for a check-in or "sniffari" walk when it works best for your pooch: mornings, afternoons, or early evenings. If you'd like to establish a weekly schedule, we can work that out, too! Safety on walks is my top priority. I'll make sure harnesses are properly fitted, leashes are secure, and water is available. I also check for hot pavement in warm months, snow salt in cold months, and slippery conditions in rainy, mucky weather. If your dog is reactive on leash, we can talk strategy (avoiding other dogs or triggers). And if your dog has a high prey drive like mine, I'll keep an eye out for rascally squirrels.
“I was worried about using the app service because I had never used it before and I had never left my cats with anyone they didn't know but Hannah was so loving to them and gave my furbabies tender, love and care she was very professional and had great communication with me and she sent me cute pictures of them they were in good hands I will definitely be reaching out to her agian in the future.”

About: I have taken care of my sister dog for 7 months her name was chichi. I had lots of experience with taking her to walks, making sure she used the bathroom on her walks, also bathing her. I am very playful with dogs and make sure they eat and have a clean bowl of water. I work at my other job during the afternoon but I still am available to take care of your pups from 11am - 2:30 pm. I will always keep your pup in company. I love to watch over playful dogs and love to teach them new tricks. I’m a very kind and generous person and comfortable to be around with dogs.
“My fiancé and I were nervous about hiring someone for dog services that we didn’t know personally, but we really hit the jackpot with Rebecca. She is so great with our dogs and is very mindful of our routine and training. She is very attentive and always checking in to see if there is anything we’d like her to improve on - which so far, we haven’t needed any adjustments! We highly recommend Rebecca and appreciate the services and care she provides to our family.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kenmore
Celeste was communicative, reliable, and flexible when my plane was delayed and I got home later than expected. Two of my dogs are seniors and they can be a little extra work, which Celeste was very kind about. She sent pictures and even mopped the kitchen floor which I was not expecting. Most importantly, my dogs were happy and safe when I camd home. Thank you Celeste!

Jenna was very responsive when setting up her first meeting with Tilly. She informed us precisely when she arrived at the house and departed. She also sent pictures and updates, which were greatly appreciated and comforting when we left our puppy alone for the first time. We look forward to using her again! Tilly says “thank you” too!

Katelyn was amazing with Roxy. This was my first time using Rover, so I was a little nervous about how the experience would go. However, Katelyn made sure to send plenty of pictures of Roxy enjoying her drop in visits. She also left the house just like I had left it. Definitely recommend Katelyn and would use her in the future if I ever need a dog sitter or someone to drop in quick if I was ever away from the house again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
