About: Calling all 2nd shift workers! If your pet needs a walk or check-in during the afternoon or early evening, I'm your girl. My weekday availability is (temporarily) limited to 2:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Weekend availability is pretty open. Hello, pet people! I took a 5-year hiatus from Rover due to some life changes, but I'm back to offering walks and drop-ins. If your work schedule and busy life are keeping you from giving your pup the exercise and attention they need, I'm here to help. Pets have always been a part of my life. Currently, our family has two birds and one dog: a 26-pound Mini Pinscher mix that keeps us on our toes. Professionally, I'm a freelance pet journalist, and I've covered everything from "enforced puppy naps" to "touch sensitivity" and beyond. While I'm certainly enthusiastic about meeting any dog or cat, I also understand some pets need a gentler approach. Every dog (and cat) is an individual, with their own unique preferences and personality. That's why I'll spend some time getting to know them at our first meet-and-greet. I do freelance work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I can pop in for a check-in or "sniffari" walk when it works best for your pooch: mornings, afternoons, or early evenings. If you'd like to establish a weekly schedule, we can work that out, too! Safety on walks is my top priority. I'll make sure harnesses are properly fitted, leashes are secure, and water is available. I also check for hot pavement in warm months, snow salt in cold months, and slippery conditions in rainy, mucky weather. If your dog is reactive on leash, we can talk strategy (avoiding other dogs or triggers). And if your dog has a high prey drive like mine, I'll keep an eye out for rascally squirrels.

About: I have taken care of my sister dog for 7 months her name was chichi. I had lots of experience with taking her to walks, making sure she used the bathroom on her walks, also bathing her. I am very playful with dogs and make sure they eat and have a clean bowl of water. I work at my other job during the afternoon but I still am available to take care of your pups from 11am - 2:30 pm. I will always keep your pup in company. I love to watch over playful dogs and love to teach them new tricks. I’m a very kind and generous person and comfortable to be around with dogs.

About: I’m 29 years old I have cared for animals my whole life. I know how to train your fur baby if needed. They will go on walks often. I’m currently a stay at home mom. So I’m almost always home unless I’m running to the store quick. Other than that I’m always home. I have a fenced in yard and 2 dogs and 1 cat at home to keep your fur baby company. About: Hello, my name is Jennifer! I have been taking care of dogs and other small animals since I was a child. I had a couple dogs of my own, I have also taken care of bunnies, chinchillas, rats, and cats! I recently got my own dog who I love with all my heart! She is an 11 year old beagle named Matilda. I am very comfortable taking care of senior dogs, or helping out with any of your dogs medical needs. I have a small home that I keep tidy and pet friendly - perfect for if you're looking for someone to board your small/medium sized dog for the weekend or longer.

About: I've fostered and trained 14 puppies until they found their forever homes, with organizations like R.A.R.E Rescue and Big Fluffy Dog Rescue. I especially love teaching puppies tricks, such as "sit," "spin," "come here," I can teach them to recognize their names, and I can potty and crate train as well. I used to volunteer at the Nashville Humane Society walking and socializing dogs and cats, and I have experience taking care of animals with special needs or special medical instructions. I love taking pictures of cute moments and will make sure any animal staying with me is loved and cared for! I've had both cats, dogs, and a snake as pets, and I have experience petsitting other animals for neighbors such as different reptiles, ferrets, and bunnies, so I'm definitely capable of taking care of any animal with specific instructions. I am self-employed and work from home, so pet care fits perfectly into my schedule. I have flexible hours and can be available for last minute requests. I also have a car to swing by at any time to take dogs on walks throughout the day or even drive to a dog park. I just moved to New York from Tennessee, so I'm a little new to the area. About: I have owned 4 dogs throughout my entire life and am a total animal lover! I love and enjoy walking and connecting with dogs, and have had much experience walking my own dogs (2 Portuguese water dogs) as well as dogs of my friends and family. I also have experience feeding, bathing, and playing with/entertaining dogs. They are my favorite! I am working part time with an ambiguous schedule, so I definitely have availability for walking dogs whenever! Weekdays during the morning/afternoon work best for me, but feel free to reach out about other times, I am flexible! I have a backyard with space to play around, as well as a retractable fence. I am comfortable crating if needed. My neighborhood is great for walking dogs as well.

About: I’m a nanny and frequently work with the families with pets as well. I have two dogs of my own and have experience providing training as well. I work part time and will be able to check in frequently or provide walks for your pets. I work in the mornings but have plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings I would prefer to pet sit in your home. I have one dog in my home and although he is friendly, he prefers to have his own space and plenty of attention from his humans. That said, I will stop by frequently to walk, play, and take care of your animals as they need.

About: I have had extensive experience with all types of animals, especially dogs. I grew up on a farm with working dogs and worked at a dog training/boarding facility for 3 years. I do not currently have any pets of my own. I also have particular experience with puppies as I have helped rear and adopt out litters of puppies for friends and family. I am very outdoorsy and a full time artist who is looking for a side gig to pay the bills and a chance to connect with your pets and share the love. I am a full time artist which means I am available during all of the regular working hours but will have plans that come up for production/shooting and travel. I am very flexible and can make most things work with good communication. I am only available to book for drop ins, walking, and training sessions. However if I get to know you and your pet over time we can discuss boarding or overnights. I believe having a dog is all about the balance between structure and fun. Consistency is important in a dog’s routine/life so I plan to follow whatever boundaries you set to keep your dogs happy and healthy. Safety when walking a dog, in a busy neighborhood especially, is of the upmost importance to me.
