About: As a dedicated teacher passionate about enriching lives, I’m looking to expand my routine this summer by offering dog sitting and walking services. As a proud dog owner and a parent of enthusiastic teenagers, we love hiking and exploring the great outdoors together with our furry friend. Combining my love for dogs with the flexibility of summer, I’m excited to provide loving care and companionship for your pets while enjoying the beauty of nature. Let’s give your dog a fun-filled adventure while you’re away! I will be available most days before or after school. I also like using my summer layoff as a time to spend with my own dog and teenagers hiking and exploring. I would love to add any pets to my summer routine. I have a fully fenced in yard and walking distance to 3 beautiful parks for walking. I also have a large adjustable crate for any dog.
About: I have been able to take care of animals (dogs and cats) since age 5 as I had pets throughout my whole life. I have also briefly owned horses building the skillset of hygiene care for larger animals. I absolutely love dogs. I have had experience with small dogs all the way up to English Mastiff and Ridgeback sizes. I have been a helpful pet sitter for many family members and some friends. I absolutely love animals and plan to incorporate them into my therapeutic process with clients in the future. Please send them my way and I will give them all the love and empathy while you're away and as needed! I am a graduate student with an internship which entails the need for a daily routine. I am more flexible for weekends and holidays, and I am also willing to make other days work given enough time notice in advance. I love to be outside year-round, especially fall and winter, so I will be active with animals in snow/cold or sunshine which means walks and playing! I have three cats who have everything they need including love and grooming! I have a three-legged cat who requires more care for hygiene and grooming, so he gets lion cuts every so often. All of my cats get treats and are spoiled with love. I am flexible and willing to work around whatever is needed for safety and the environment. I would prefer to do house visits and drop-ins to feed/let outside, etc. I would need to be provided equipment like leashes, crates, food bowls, food, etc. I do not want to disrupt your pet's routine or familiarity of their own materials.
“Amanda took excellent care of our guinea pig Teddy over the weekend. We've had bad pet sitter experiences in the past but Amanda was very descriptive and sent lots of pictures during her stay. We highly recommend hiring her.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a little girl, including my special needs diabetic schnauzer, helping with insulin injections and pills. Now I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own. We love to walk by the outer harbor and play outside when the weather is nice! I’m a 4th year medical student, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I have daily availability and lots of energy for walks and playtime with your fur babies! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own. I live in an apartment near the outer harbor. I prefer staying at a client’s house where your pets will be most comfortable! We love to go for walks and I have experience walking up to 3 dogs at once on my waist leash.
“Ciara was super responsive and helpful when I needed a new cat sitter on really short notice! She wanted to know absolutely everything abt my cat's routine to make him as comfortable as possible while I was gone, and he loved her so much even though he's often pretty skittish around new people. I got lots of photos and detailed reports every day, she was really attentive to his behavior and making sure he was okay, and overall was just fantastic!”

“Emma was fabulous in taking care of my boys! She was even able to get my stubborn kitty to take more of his meds than I could, no small feat. She was great about providing updates and following complex care instructions.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Lackawanna with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
