“Ciara goes above and beyond when taking care of my boys. From her detailed check ins assuring me all is okay to her genuine care and enthusiasm for animals, she is by far the best sitter I have had (and I’ve had many!). I can enjoy going away because I know the boys are in good hands and my place is taken care of. She is also just lovely and has a great attitude. Cannot recommend her enough!!!”

“Colleen was so great with our old boy! He took to her instantly which doesn't always happen. She was super flexible with our last minute booking and was patient when we forgot to send the door code. You're an angel, thank you again!”

“Trish was great with our puppy. After the initial meet and greet, we were very comfortable having Trish come to our house and care for our puppy. She is clearly an animal lover. Her communication is excellent. She also sent us pictures and an overview of how things went during each visit. We are looking forward to having Trish care for Betty again.”

“I’m so happy that I found Karen! She did a wonderful job taking care of my two cats. She sent so many photos and really made me feel comfortable leaving them in her care.”

“Courtney is amazing!!! Sierra did really well with Courtney during her visits. She responded quickly to our requests, kept us informed throughout the visits, worked with Sierra's training during her walk, and made sure she was fed. We're grateful she accepted the booking with short notice during our family Xmas visit. Really recommend her if you're looking for an expert sitter.”

About: I've been a rescue dog and cat mom for over 30 yrs. My 12 yr old daughter loves our pet guests too ❤️ we want you and your dog to feel comfortable in our home. We're everyone's"go to" for dog sitting. I'm a full time social worker from 8:30 to 4:30 Mon-Fri. I use my lunch hour for walking and potty breaks and also work from home 3 days a week during this time of COVID. We have a daily routine, coming home right after work and weekends are mostly spent at home with the pups-ours and yours 🙂 I have a pug of my own who doesn't mind sharing her mama's attention. I do allow pets on my furniture but can refrain if that breaks your house rules. We'll treat your dogs as our own ❤️
“Sheryl is the absolute best! She takes such good care of our guys when we are away. It makes our whole trip that much better knowing they are in such good hands while we are away. Thank you again.”

“Nicole was a gem. She managed our puppy and 9 year old like an expert. She over came our pup's hesitancy and quickly became friends. Look forward to using her services in the future.”

About: I have been able to take care of animals (dogs and cats) since age 5 as I had pets throughout my whole life. I have also briefly owned horses building the skillset of hygiene care for larger animals. I absolutely love dogs. I have had experience with small dogs all the way up to English Mastiff and Ridgeback sizes. I have been a helpful pet sitter for many family members and some friends. I absolutely love animals and plan to incorporate them into my therapeutic process with clients in the future. Please send them my way and I will give them all the love and empathy while you're away and as needed! I am a graduate student with an internship which entails the need for a daily routine. I am more flexible for weekends and holidays, and I am also willing to make other days work given enough time notice in advance. I love to be outside year-round, especially fall and winter, so I will be active with animals in snow/cold or sunshine which means walks and playing! I have three cats who have everything they need including love and grooming! I have a three-legged cat who requires more care for hygiene and grooming, so he gets lion cuts every so often. All of my cats get treats and are spoiled with love. I am flexible and willing to work around whatever is needed for safety and the environment. I would prefer to do house visits and drop-ins to feed/let outside, etc. I would need to be provided equipment like leashes, crates, food bowls, food, etc. I do not want to disrupt your pet's routine or familiarity of their own materials.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a little girl, including my special needs diabetic schnauzer, helping with insulin injections and pills. Now I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own. We love to walk by the outer harbor and play outside when the weather is nice! I’m a 4th year medical student, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I have daily availability and lots of energy for walks and playtime with your fur babies! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own. I live in an apartment near the outer harbor. I prefer staying at a client’s house where your pets will be most comfortable! We love to go for walks and I have experience walking up to 3 dogs at once on my waist leash.
“Amanda took excellent care of our guinea pig Teddy over the weekend. We've had bad pet sitter experiences in the past but Amanda was very descriptive and sent lots of pictures during her stay. We highly recommend hiring her.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Lackawanna with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
