About: Hello, I’m Deanna! I have lived in the Buffalo area all my life & previously have had 2 dogs. I currently have a 3 year old dog at home. About: Besides caring for my childhood dog, Houston, since I was 11 years old, I formally became very involved in pet care during college. I joined an organization called 4 Paws for Ability that raises and trains service dogs for veterans and children with disabilities. I began as a sitter for the primary trainers on campus, watching their dog for a couple of hours during the day. Beginning my junior year, I began raising Red through 4 Paws, a 10 week old Golden-lab. I raised Red, while juggling class and work, until he was 1.5 years old and went off to advanced training.
