âAnthony did a great job taking care of my pup. She can be shy and fearful in new situations and Anthony did a great job to keep her calm and comfortable. She enjoyed playing with his dogs, Yoki and Canelo. I enjoyed receiving updates and pictures of my pup while I was away which helped me feel at ease. Anthony is calm, reliable and welcoming. I plan to use his services again when I need them.â

She sent pictures a couple times a day and I could see from the photos that Shadow was relaxed and comfortable. That reassurance made my trip all the more relaxing.â

About: Iâve taken care of my aunts dogs and have dog sat many times so I know what to expect. I also hang out with my boyfriendâs dogs. Iâm currently working part time so I have plenty of time to fit pet sitting in my schedule. I will also be able to do it at any time of day. I have a very big backyard, a lot of room, and a friendly cat to keep your cat company. I will also not make your animal feel like they are alone.
âNichole took such good care of our dog, Juniper! She was so well cared for and enjoyed playing with Nichole's dog. Nichole sent lots of pictures and updates and even went as far as to clean her ears when she saw they were irritated. We could not recommend her more!â

âCharlette is very kind and caring, she will take care of your fur baby as if it was her own. She communicates quickly and often, leaving you no doubt about the situation. I'm not sure how I could give her a higher recommendation, but if I could, I would!â

About: Pets are in integral part of our family. I enjoy the fun they bring to the home and wouldn't trade their company for the world. I can care for diabetic and asthmatic animals. What does your pet need? I am happy to accommodate. I work occasionally this summer but virtually. I have time to walk the dog and also have a wonderful fenced in yard. I have a lot of free time to dedicate to animals. I make sure the dog feels at home. I used the fenced in yard so that they have enough space to play. I go on a couple of walks a day.
âAnnalisa did great with my elderly cat! He stayed with her for a week, and was very calm and happy upon pickup, and with his IBS condition she was so patient with him. I will absolutely be reaching out to this sitter again when I need a pet sitter!â

âMy cat Vlad was well taken care of and loved with Julio! I got consistent updates and pictures of how he was doing during his stay, and would recommend Julio to anyone needing a trust worthy sitter for their furry friend! Iâm excited to continue using his services in the future!â

About: Hi there! I'm Caitlin, and for the past 13 years, I have gained extensive education, training, and experience with all types of animals. I have been with Rover since 2014 and have had over 190 clients through the years. As a proud professional, the experience under my belt includes: - Solo management of a small, rural cat shelter - Behavioral and adoption staff at a large urban animal shelter - Dog and cat training - Fear free certification - Management staff for boarding and daycare - Professional bathing/grooming - Exotic animal handling - Bachelor's degree in Animal Behavior Besides my professional experience, I have been a pet owner my whole life - dogs, cats, and exotics included! Right now - I have four beloved cats who I have clicker trained myself! ** Currently, my preferred clients are cats, small dogs, seniors, and more relaxed pets. I am not suited to care for strong, energetic dogs who need extensive exercise. ** In-home boarding and dog daycare are services I vet very extensively and am particular about due to my cats. While I do offer the services, it is always better to choose a house sit/drop in visit with me instead - these I can be much more flexible about. Some other services I provide beyond the basics include: - Wedding pet care and assistance - Pet transportation - Travel pet care and assistance - and more! I am a *CONSTANT CARE SITTER!* That means, I am in your home for the vast majority of the day, due to my day job being completely remote and flexible. While some others may need to step out for a full work day, I commit my time to YOUR pet(s) and YOUR pet(s) only - which sets me apart from other sitters. You may see that my husband, Josh, is also on my profile. He will occasionally help me with some services, but I am the primary sitter. I will always let clients know if he is going to be present for any services. Safety for pets and myself is and always has been my top priority. I am proudly fear free certified and have worked on extensive safety training measures in all of my professional working environments. I know how to use all types of equipment (leashes, collars, harnesses, e-collars, etc) with ease.
âKelly was awesome for our girls first stay away from home. She updated me throughout our 3 days away so that I had peace of mind and knew they were being well cared for. They came home happy and tired! Thank you Kelly!â

âI canât begin to tell you how wonderful it was to have Bev. She was watching my dog during this last snow event and not only did she reassure me because I couldnât get back in time (plane cancelled) that she would gladly keep her as long as needed she went to the store and bought more of her dog food as I didnât send enough. I couldnât ask for anything more. It certainly made me feel great that my dogs care was one less thing I had to worry about. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars.â

About: Hi, I'm Brittany! I'm a Christian, proud dog mom to Bailey, and an animal lover with a heart for serving others. My faith guides me to serve with kindness, honesty, and compassion, and I'd be honored to care for your four-legged family member as if they were my own. đžđ I currently work full time from home which allows me to be available for care in my home. I am also free after work because i have a open schedule after work I care for every pet as if they were my own by following their normal routine, providing plenty of love, exercise, and attention, and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

Alena is great with our 2 pups. In all their pictures they look happy and are enjoying their stay. We wounder if they like it there so well that they might not want to come home. But no worries, they were very happy to see us. We recommend Alena & Regina to any one who needs to board a dog.

Once again Jessica provided the best care for our dog. He came back happy to see us, but also quite content and not the least bit stressed. Jessica is willing to provide pictures and updates, but is never bothersome. We absolutely trust her with our dog and will continue to look to her first.

Marissa was the perfect sitter for our girl. She has a cozy home complete with all the essentials - dog blankets, chewies and sidewalks for walks. More than that, Marissa is a dog lover and made my dog her priority during the stay, with the photos of her tucked in under blankets to prove it đ Iâm very lucky to have found her and will def be booking again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Roverâs reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
