It's an honor to have a key to someones home and to be trusted to care for their animals, and I take this very seriously. I am a guest in your home, but in that time your pet is family to me. I always make sure to leave a home neater than I found it, and will double, triple check that all is as it should be before I depart.

I always meet dogs with their owner present first! It’s very important to me to know if your dog has any triggers, so I can do my best to avoid them and facilitate the best experience possible for the both of us. For example, if they hate skateboards, that’s something I need to know before we head out into the world together. I love all breeds, shapes, and sizes; I only draw the line at dogs that are bigger than me, for their own safety.

Walks depend on your neighborhood and your dogs preference. If there’s a nearby park that they enjoy, that can certainly become part of our routine. If they like new places or the same old trail, either is fine with me. For home visits, I obviously feed, water, and scoop cat litter, but I also stay around and spend some time with them, playing with their toys or just a little company if they're shy. I can also bring in the mail and water any plants.

Hello! I started pet-sitting seriously in graduate school and had a consistent base of clients for two years. Later, I volunteered at a local humane society where I cared for and interacted with cats and dogs multiple times a week, for three years. This experience taught me a great deal more about dogs, including behaviors, breed traits, and exercise needs. While it's not my profession, animal care-taking has definitely become my passion! I treat every animal exactly how they want to be treated. Sometimes that is a lot of love and affection, but sometimes there are cats who like their distance! Whatever your animal needs, I'm happy to accommodate them.

Saraphina is, by far, one of the most extraordinary people on the planet. Honest, responsible, brilliant and so loving and gentle. Funny! She treats pets like people and has taken care of my old Basset on many occasions. Leaving my dog and house with her made my life very relaxed, as I knew all would be well with Saraphina in charge. A pleasure to know her and to recommend her to anyone and for any pet or chore. An all around great girl.
Saraphina came to my rescue when I became a new mom. Having her experienced help alleviated stress and allows me to focus on my newborn. From day 1 it was obvious she knew a lot about dogs AND, that she'd update me regularly regarding Timbo's behavior.
