From managing a doggy daycare/salon to my own personal care sessions (which have been requested in state and international), I value all opportunities because it allows me to learn, grow and become more confident when caring for animals. I have worked with and taught commands to dogs ranging from puppies to seniors. I have also worked with animals who had behavioral issues, medical conditions such as seizures, liver problems and diabetes. I have administered medications and proper substances when needed. I believe that maintaining a routine is essential when watching animals because their world is a little different when they aren’t with their primary care taker. With this being said, if an animal has heath condition and/or specific needs, I would appreciate that they are disclosed before sessions. It is important that each animal is treated with care and is given lots of love. It is also necessary that the family feels comfortable with individual who cares for their pet and that they can trust them. Having a routine is important so sticking to that routine essential when it comes to caring for a pet. I do not have a yard but dogs would be taken on walks everyday (rain or shine) if they were to stay with me.

About: I have experience taking care of pets, as I have owned a dog myself. I've worked in animal care most of my career, working for institutions such as The Buffalo Zoo, Hidden Valley Animal Adventure, Pet Supplies Plus, dog kennels, etc. I love being around animals, and intend to do so the rest of my life! I'm currently working as a personal trainer at Catalyst Fitness, so I am needed when clients have training sessions. However, this will never extend for more than a few hours (at most maybe 4-5) at a time. So even if I need to go to a training session(s), I can be right back to take care of the animals afterwards! I can constantly provide your pets with enrichment. Whether that be through walking, playing, or just general outside time. I love nature/the environment, so I love getting outdoors. “Jen provided drop-in visits and daily walks with my German Shepherd while I was out of town. He can be a little intimidating with his barking when someone new is on his property, but Jen was unfazed and just took her time meeting him. He immediately warmed up to her and they did great together. Besides exercise and feeding/watering, Jen administered eye drops and pills every day, lots of belly rubs and play time. She was punctual, trustworthy, and provided updates on all the things a pet parent needs to know, to be sure their pet is getting high quality care. Highly recommended!”

About: My biggest concern while I’m away on vacation is “how are my dogs doing?” They are like my children. I have used Rover in the past to watch my dogs and home while I’m on vacation. I want to be that trustworthy person for someone else. I have ALWAYS been an animal lover! I have rescued dogs, I’ve fostered dogs and watched dogs for friends and family. I have two Golden Retrievers at home who love to have company come over and play in the fenced in backyard. I am looking forward to taking care of your Furbaby like they are my own I work Full-time but am able to leave for lunch to take care of any pets needs during the day. Right now I go home everyday on lunch and spend time with my dogs. I have a fenced in backyard and 2 Golden Retrievers who love to have company! At this time, if I watch your dog in my home, he/she would need to be crated while I’m at work. They would be crated no longer than 4 hours unless I make other arrangements with my job, where I could come home more frequently.

About: I have owned dogs all my life, and turned to fostering and dogsitting after college for shorter commitments. I have fostered over 15 dogs, including seniors, puppies, 70+ lb reactive dogs, and those needing medications. I have also catsit for friends and neighbors and cared for fish the last three years. I work from home so I'm able to be attentive to your pets, and I like to take 15 minute breaks to walk a few times a day. I have a puppy-proofed mudroom where we will hang out, and I live across the street from a bike path where I love to walk with a regular leash or long line.

About: Hello! I started pet-sitting seriously in graduate school and had a consistent base of clients for two years. Later, I volunteered at a local humane society where I cared for and interacted with cats and dogs multiple times a week, for three years. This experience taught me a great deal more about dogs, including behaviors, breed traits, and exercise needs. While it's not my profession, animal care-taking has definitely become my passion! I treat every animal exactly how they want to be treated. Sometimes that is a lot of love and affection, but sometimes there are cats who like their distance! Whatever your animal needs, I'm happy to accommodate them. I have an extreme flexible schedule, and I can help with mid-day walks as well as routine AM/PM visits. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute needs or become a regular helper. It's an honor to have a key to someones home and to be trusted to care for their animals, and I take this very seriously. I am a guest in your home, but in that time your pet is family to me. I always make sure to leave a home neater than I found it, and will double, triple check that all is as it should be before I depart.

About: The past six years I have had the opportunity to watch many different kinds of animals, everything from a chinchilla to large dog breeds. I have even watched rescue dogs a few times. This has allow me to better understand dogs behaviors. I have school Monday through Friday six to three in the afternoon. This leaves me with afternoons, nights and weekends completely free to take care of pets. I would keep the pets safe by following rules and preferences set by the owner, such as using gates and leashes, making sure hazardous items are out of reach, keeping in communication with the owners, and getting to know the pet and there behaviors along with there routines.

About: I did not have any dogs growing up- my parents were allergic, but I have always loved dogs, and I knew I wanted one when I was able to live on my own. I have been around dogs my whole life, and I have cared for my friends dogs when they needed sitters. I am currently a dog dad to my four year old Australian Cattle dog, and if there's one thing I can tell you about him is that he has taught me everything I need to know to train, house, and communicate with dogs of all breeds. Your dog will be treated with the upmost respect while in my care and will enjoy their stay with me and Yoki. You pups will fit right into the routine of things. I currently own two dogs and I am able to accommodate them both time wise I treat all animals as if they are my own, giving them the same love, attention, and respect I would offer a pet of my own. About: I’ve taken care of a couple different dogs for around three to four years now doing basic care takings needs such as playing, walking, and feeding. I have also had a Shih tzu of my own for 3 years now. I work part time and I am a full time student. My summer schedule has classes and work several days of the week. I’m generally free most mornings and after 9pm on days I work. I let my dog walk around our home freely. However in our backyard I have a leash for him so he can walk around while not being able to run off! When I am dog watching when I am away I would crate the dog if im gone for several hours and let them roam if its for a short amount of time.
