About: Professional pet sitter and dog walker in Niagara! I was raised with lots of different rescue pets in my home growing up; dogs, cats, reptiles and other small animals. These past two years, I’ve had the pleasure of caring for animals of all sizes, with lots of different needs and temperaments. I take pride in offering reliable, compassionate care for your family! For walks and drop ins, I’m happy to offer: ▪️Weekly walks for working professionals ▪️Low stimulation visits for shy pets ▪️Reliable care for shift workers ▪️Pack walks and adventures (please inquire) I had a beautiful 19 year old chihuahua that had a few senior issues, so I’m very comfortable providing special care for blind/deaf dogs, as well as administer medications (orally, topically or injected) Pet sitting is my full time job and your pets are my priority while I’m with them! My schedule is fairly open depending on the day. I have a few regular walks and visits, but I’d love to make time for your fur family! Please just ask about availability! I also live at home with family, so there’s no worry about my own pets being alone while I care for yours. I always require an in person meet in greet first for safety, and to make sure it’s a good fit. I’ll make sure to follow all of your instructions and your pets usual routine, as well as send you lots of updates and photos of your pets during my time with them, so you know they’re safe and happy! I’m very vigilant, and will pay close attention to your pets while I’m with them, and update you with any changes big or small. I pride myself in being transparent and honest!

“Jasper was so comfortable at Dana’s! He looked very at home and it eased my mind while I was away to see that he was content. Jasper will definitely be back in the future :)”

“It was a big jump to try Rover for our Bene. After meeting Andreas I felt pretty comfortable. We were going away for 40 days so we wanted an alternative to boarding him at a kennel. After the second day of getting updates with videos of Bene playing with Yoshi we really relaxed. Bene had a great time and came home very happy. Andreas took great care of Bene even brushing him a number of times. Thank you for the piece if mind. We will be using him again for sure.”

“Emmy was awesome and super caring with Brownie. She immediarely welcomed him and made him feel at home. Her home has a really nice backyard with plenty of space for dogs. I know Brownie had a great time with Emmy and her family!”

“Courtney’s provided the best stay for Amaya, our standard poodle. She was flexible about drop off time and pick up time as we were traveling from out of state to the Falls and coordinating with two other families. She treated Amaya like one of her own. We appreciated the photos and videos and attention she gave our girl. I don’t think Amaya missed us!”

“Agnes was great with my dog Rocko. It was was his first time in a different home, and Agnes made sure that he had fun and comfortable. There updates with pictures and videos sent to me. And she responds promptly. I will definitely go with Agnes again next time.”

“Erica was very pleasant and easy to work with! She took very good care of our Archie. Erica kept us updated on his stay with pictures and messages! Would definitely use again in the future!”

“Valerie was a terrific sitter for Gemma and Gemma took to her right away :) Valerie loves dogs so much and it shows. We look forward to visiting with Valerie again and I highly recommend a stay with her.”

“Jolene and Martin are communicative, flexible, and welcoming. My dog Angel seemed at ease immediately in their home, and got along well with their family including their kids! Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Grand Island
Ashley took such amazing care of my Benny. I love the fact that she works from home and didn’t have to leave him home alone, which he gets very anxious about. You could tell that her and her family really love animals and we rested easy knowing that he was in good hands. We will definitely be using Ashley again next time we go out of town. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
