The proof of Jackie’s expertise is with the pups. They adored her. She is obviously a dog person. We’ll be booking her again as a sitter. I know that bean and sprout will have a wonderful time with her. Thanks Jackie!

Nafisa was wonderful all week long! She showed up on time or early every day. She was kind enough to give me a heads up before she arrived everyday to give me time to make it to the door and have my dog ready. They bonded immediately and my neighbors noticed how well she manages his large size and energy.

We liked Gina so much that we have booked her for weekly recurring walks. We like that she responds to messages in a timely manner and has smoothed over glitches in the Rover app-like when it double booked us for our recurring walks. Gina provides us with a peace of mind knowing that our pup is getting a good walk in with a great person.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for family and friends for the past three years. I am a pet lover with a caring heart and am very glad to play, walk and care for pets as I am away from mine for school. I have a medical background and am currently a medical student. I am currently a student at Jacob’s Medical School, with classes primarily in the morning but lots of flexible, free time in the afternoon and evening. I am open to pet-sitting at one’s property but cannot have pets at my apartment. I am open to pet-sit, feed, walk, etc as needed per pet!

About: I've been a cat dad of my own and looked after friends' and family's cats and dogs for 20+ years, including those in good health and those with special healthcare needs, like regular medications, etc. I love playing with them and just hanging out together...Basically just being pals! I'm not working full-time currently, I'm available every day of the week for pet care needs. Right now my main responsibilities are to the beck and call of my own 7-year-old Calico cat Partridge. I am very adept at dealing with feeding cats and dogs, dog walking, cleaning/clearing litter, and socializing with cats and dogs at their own comfort level. I have experience with special feeding routines such as pill and oral syringe feeding, and with application of topical medicines/ointments.

Rebooked Callie for a midday break. Excellent with our 14 week old puppy! Patient. Callie also has an eye for good photo angles and has sent some of our cutest pictures we have of Benson, which is especially nice because these puppy years go by so quickly and before you know it, you’ve forgotten to document it. Highly recommend Callie for your pet.

About: I have been a dog, cat and all manner of other animals mama for more than 30 years. I believe that our furbabies are family and I treat them as such. I have never met an animal that I didn't love. I look forward to loving your babies the same way that I love mine and giving them as much attention and love as they can handle. I currently work my "real job" from home and can do it anywhere there's an internet connection, so, I am hoping to make a little extra money on the side doing something that I absolutely love which is taking care of animals. I have open availability and can usually accommodate most any need within 24 hours notice and if it's something as simple as a walk that you need on the fly, I can usually accommodate with 4 hours notice. I understand that care looks different for every animal, even ones in the same home and am dedicated to taking care of your fur babies in the exact way you want them to be taken care of.

I also do house sitting with your pet, so they aren’t alone at night. I live with my roommates kitty named Nelly, I love her up and feed her whenever my roommate isn’t around. I have a large, energetic 80 lb Saint Berdoodle (Archie), and I specifically hired Ian because Archie needs more enrichment, structure, and help with his manners—especially his habit of jumping on people at home and on walks. From our very first meet-and-greet, I could tell Ian knew exactly how to handle a rambunctious dog. He was calm, confident, and immediately comfortable managing Archie’s energy. He even offered helpful suggestions for training and recommended calming treats, which I really appreciated. Ian has walked Archie several times now, and he’s been consistently reliable, trustworthy, and communicative. It’s such a relief knowing Archie is in good hands and getting both exercise and guidance. I highly recommend Ian to anyone with a high-energy or large dog who needs not just a walk, but someone who understands behavior and structure.

About: I know I love to have the peace of mind when traveling that someone I trust is caring for my pets while I am away and I want to provide that same service to someone else. We recently lost our beloved Dexter after 14 years, so we are very much missing having a dog around to snuggle and take on walks. We also have a cat named Joey and he pretty much keeps to himself (until it is time to eat of course) and 2 small children. I am available to come to your house and give your dog walks and check-ins or anything else you might need. We will be sure to give your baby all the love and care they deserve while you are away :) During the summer months I am off from my full-time job so I have open availability. When school is back in session I am available anytime Monday-Friday after 3pm and open on the weekends. I will follow all guidance from the owner as to how you do things. It’s important to be consistent for your pet while you’re away.

About: Hi! I’m a passionate animal lover with a lifetime of experience caring for all kinds of pets. I currently have two big, lovable dogs—a German Shepherd and a Cane Corso—as well as two cats, so I know how to handle different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your pup is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, they’ll get personalized attention and care like one of my own. Hi there! My name is Isabella , and I’m a professional hairstylist working Wednesday through Saturday. On my days off, I’m looking to spend more time doing something else I love—caring for animals. As someone who has had pets my entire life and currently owns two dogs (a German Shepherd and a Cane Corso) and two cats, I understand how important it is to have someone reliable and compassionate looking after your furry family members. I’d love the opportunity to help out with dog walking or pet care when you need an extra hand. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. At home, I provide a structured, loving, and safe environment for my pets, which includes two large-breed dogs—a German Shepherd and a Cane Corso—and two cats. I focus on consistent routines, daily exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of affection. My pets are well-socialized, receive proper nutrition, and are always kept clean, comfortable, and happy. Whether it’s going on long walks, engaging in playtime, or simply giving them the attention they need, I treat each animal with the respect and care they deserve. My experience with a variety of temperaments and needs allows me to confidently and responsibly care for others’ pets with the same level of dedication.

I’m so happy Melina was available for my last minute weekend request to walk and feed my Ayla. Melina is very reliable, communicative and even offered advice from her own experience. My anxious baby warmed right up to her (and animals know best 😸). I will definitely be reaching out to Melina for my future pet needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
