About: I've been housesitting and petsitting since 2009! I have experience primarily with cats and dogs, and I also have extensive plant and yard care experience for those extended vacations! I would love to take care of your pets and home during your much-needed vacation. I'm also comfortable caring for your furless babies, too, including birds, fish, and reptiles! I currently work part-time and attend school online at OSU part-time, so my flexible schedule will fit perfectly with you and your pet's needs! I am primarily available in afternoons and on weekends. I frequently split my time between Eugene and Corvallis. Your home is you and your pets' haven! I aim to take care of every home and all pets with the same attentive care I would give my own. Safety, cleanliness, and respect are my top priorities! For housesitting requests, please be clear about your expectations for how much/little time you would like for me to spend at your home during the day, potty break routines, sleeping arrangements, etc. I love getting as much information as possible so I can do my absolute best caring for your pets and home!
“I'm very happy with Maggie who stayed at my home with two dogs and a cat for 3 days, 2 nights. She's obviously an animal lover and they all like her. My home looked great on my return and all the pets were happy. I am using Maggie again in the near future and am comfortable recommending her for overnight stays.”
“Caralisa dealt with senior dog meds and walks with no issues. She updated me on how things were going, and did not leave a messy house. I would definitely use her again!”

“Cayla was awesome! Our plans shifted a little bit as we were navigating travel with our little one, and she was very accommodating. I could tell our pup was happy and well take care of. Our house was exactly how we left it when we returned- so helpful!”

“Rosa is a fantastic house sitter and cat sitter. She went above and beyond to care for my cat and take care of my home. I felt at ease the whole time I was away.”

“Kelsie did a wonderful job of caring for our two dogs, cat, and rabbits. She is very professional, reliable and communicative, and we would definitely have her sit for us again.”

“Victoria was excellent. She checked in every day and spoiled our pups. We have a senior who takes a lot of extra care and so we especially appreciate her taking the time to meet his needs.”

“Emily babysat my 3 cats 8 days. Flight plans changed unexpectedly and Emily graciously stayed the extra day. Sammy, my Senior cat requires medication two times a day, at 17 years old it’s imperative he not miss a dose. Emily had no problem at all. She checked in on every visit the first two days til she was able to stay nights. She really saved me, Sammy, Atticus and Angus from a disaster. I’d been in conversations with another sitter for over a month and had a great Meet and Greet. At 33 hours before my planned flight that sitter abruptly cancelled. Yikes! Emily stepped in at the 11th hour. She was tidy and thoughtful, even vacuuming the morning before we returned home. I’ll be contacting Emily for all our future house/babysitting needs in the future. Forgot to mention every morning and every evening she sent photos of Sammy, Atticus and Angus.”

“This was our third time having Tina house sit our two dogs while we were away for 9 nights. She always takes such good care of them! You can tell she really cares about animals. She plays fetch, cuddles, lets them sleep with her, follows our instructions to a T, and leaves the house so clean. I would recommend Tina to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Olivia was really wonderful. She took great care of our pups and send regular updates and photos. She was great and communicating with us and very responsive to our messages. Will definitely hire her again!”

“Sydnee was an absolute shining star of a sitter. She took fantastic care of my big boy Clyde (130 lbs, Great Pyr), and was very prompt and responsive to all messages. My house was well taken care of as well. I really appreciate how detailed her messages were and how her updates included lots of pictures from different points of the day. I really felt that she took it to heart to stay close to Clyde and give him the companionship and support he needed. I would 100% recommend her to anyone in need of dog/house sitting, and especially those who need a person who can handle a big breed.”

“Rachel did a fabulous job of caring for our shy, skittish cat Isa. After initially hiding, Isa responded to Rachel's skills of attraction by playing with the wand and allowing Rachel to pet her. Rachel sent pictures daily, showing Isa playing and rolling over ecstatically to be petted (a real sign of trust). I highly recommend Rachel for any pet care position. She is communicative, caring, and obviously loves her charges.”

“Kaylee was fabulous house/pet sitting with our 2 dogs and 4 cats for four days. Followed instructions to the ‘T’ and went above beyond; very communicative and reassuring.”

“Amazing! She did a great job with our dogs. Kept us updated daily, followed all the instructions I left, even handle the minor mishap well. My house looked amazing when I came home, dogs were well cared for, couldn’t have been happier with her. Would highly recommend her to anyone nervous about leaving their fur babies at home, she put our minds at ease. Will definitely use her again!!”
“Ada did a terrific job. She and my dog, Pinot, bonded well and she was wonderful in caring for him and my house. I felt really comfortable leaving everything in great hands while I was out of the country for a week. We were able to remain in contact and she sent me periodic updates and a few photos as well. I highly recommend her services and hope to schedule her again for a future engagement.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Springfield
All of our animals - 3 Labradors and two cats - love Kelsie!! She took good care of them while house sitting during our 10 day vacation. She was great about communicating and sending photos, and we never had to worry. As a bonus, we returned to an immaculate home, as if just cleaned by a professional service. We will for sure use her again.

My two dogs love Chandlor! I received pictures and updates regularly while we were away, which is so thoughtful. Chandlor made certain they were well exercised as well as having down time with his company. Knowing that your pets and your home are being well taken care of while you are away is invaluable. We will absolutely be booking with Chandlor again.

Alyssa and Eve were fantastic to work with. Our pups had the best time with them. We received frequent updates throughout their stay. We so appreciated the special care they took for our guy Dublin. He had an ear issue and had bunch of different medications to take. They ensured he received everything he needed and kept us updated on how he was doing. Lily our other pup gained two new friends and she was overjoyed. The house was all in order and we truly appreciated that when we arrived home after a long trip. We look forward to have them sit for us again. Thank you so much!!

Ellisa took such great care of our senior dog in our home while we took a ten day vacation out of state. She went above and beyond in looking out for our old girl, our fish pond and our home while we were away. We definitely will request her services in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, efficient and trustworthy pet care giver. Thanks so much Ellisa, you’re awesome!

We could not be happier with Eric's care for Sadie (and our home). When we met with Eric for an initial interview, his professionalism was evident; and Sadie snuggled right up to him. His reassuring energy meant she was happy to see us after a week without being frantic. We will request Eric's care again. We are so grateful.

We have absolutely rave reviews for Adrian! She connected with our dog Amber right away and kept everything in good order while we were gone. Very smooth transition to our 2nd dog sitter and communication was really good throughout her stay. Enjoyed the pictures of Amber every day! I would definitely hire Adrian again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Springfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Springfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Springfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
