About: I have a cocker spaniel back home, whom I walked daily. During the winter I walked my neighbors dog 5 times a week for 45 minutes after school. I work from home managing social media for a local bakery in Portland, I make my own schedule. I also have practice from 6:25-8:25 daily. My dog used to bark at other dogs on walks, using a reward system I’ve trained her to stop and wait quietly when dogs pass.

About: I grew up with all kinds of animals and have a dog named Jaxson who is the center of my world. I absolutely love animals and love caring for them. My current schedule is very flexible and I work from home for the most part. This gives me the opportunity to work around any kind of walking or pet care schedule and really prioritize your pets needs. I have a 12 year old dog and live in an apartment so my place isn’t the best for hosting other pets. I can only care for pets in their homes.

Since summer days can get especially hot, I’m always prepared by carrying a bag with essentials like water, a bowl, treats, poop bags, and a frisbee. For my dogs, if the pavement is too hot (I always check with the back of my hand), they wear protective boots to prevent burns, and if you're dog has some little booties, I'll make sure their paws stay protected and take frequent shade breaks. On those extra hot days when it’s safer to stay indoors, I make sure my dogs still get their energy out with games, enrichment toys, and fun training tricks.
