“They were amazing and so caring for my puppy. They cared for him like he was their own and sent updates. I was really stressed about leaving him with someone else for the first time and will go to them first next time I need him cared for overnight.”

“I felt very confident that she was going to love my pup as her own. All of the puctures & feedback i got from her while I was away for 4 days proved it to me. I love that she keeps only small dogs - my lil Buddy fit right in & was able to play with friends his size. I will happily use her again.”

“Denise was great with my cockapoo! I left him with her while I was on an extended vacation. He was taken for walks daily, nurtured with love and fed well. His diet even improved under her care. Her place is located adjacent to Delta Ponds so she is fortunate to have some wildlife come by to visit outside her back slider door. Dexter was able to see a Squirell, Blue Jay and other birds. His walks to the ponds kept him engaged and happy. He was also socialized with other dogs that she sits. All in all he came back as a better dog and was very happy to spend time with her. He had no separation anxiety at all and was very content. I received daily photos of him and was updated about how he was doing regularly. I would recommend Denise to any one looking for a sitter. Her rates are great as well.”

“Luna had a great stay with Katelyn. Communication was excellent from the start. It was nice having a little peace of mind knowing that Luna would either be playing in the backyard with her new doggy friend or chilling in the house with Katelyn and her fam. I would absolutely recommend her!”

“Shay was great to work with! Dennis had a great weekend and I got regular updates and pictures on how he was doing! Would definitely use her again in the future. Thanks for taking such great care of our Dennis:)”

“I had a great experience with Brittany! Very sweet, always communicated and sent me pictures of my fur babies. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to others!”

“Destiny was flexible and accommodating to my schedule. I liked the perodic update photos of Snowball eating, relaxing, going on walks, and playing with her dog Max. Her home is very dog friendly and I would definitely rebook.”

“Old man Guinness was safe, comfortable, and happy with basically his second mom Journey while we were away on vacation. Thank you for treating him to gourmet Lickimats, sniffaris, and AC! Guinness will see you again soon; until then, be well!”

“Our elderly Brittany, Dottie, thrived the 11 days she was with Cecilia. She requires twice daily medications and feedings, which posed no problems. I will not hesitate to ask Cecilia to care for Dottie the next time we are out of town.”

“Erin was at the door waiting for our dogs to escort the dogs into her home for drop off. She also brought the dogs to the door at pick up. The dogs came home, happy and healthy and glad to see us. ✅.”

“Sarah and Anthony were the perfect sitters for our little dog. They also have a big dog and small dog to keep her company. Their house is very dog friendly as are they, thank you so much for taking such good care of her and sending pictures. This experience could not have been better!”

“If you are looking for a home away from home for your fur baby, look no further! Tessa, Tyler, and the kids will care for and love your fur baby as if they were their own. Leaving your fur baby for a night, a couple nights, or an extended time can be a stressful event but this sweet family will take that stress away. I appreciated the daily check-ins and I could tell from the pics and videos that my girl Poppy was having the best time ever and I know she will be so excited to go back! I could not be happier that I have found such a wonderful place for Poppy when I need to be out of town. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!”

“Highly recommend Corynne and Matthew! They watched our 2 dogs while we were out of the country for 11 days. They did great with both of them, which are completely different in their needs: one a very energetic 2 year old heeler mix and the other a 16 year old lab mix. They administered meds for our senior also. Our dogs had such a great time, they didn’t want to leave. Will be booking again - thanks!”

“My dog had a great time with Cameron and her dog Bo. I was updated daily on the fun they were having. She treated my dog like part of the family. We will definitely use Cameron in the future.”

“Julie was great! We needed a sitter last minute and were nervous to leave our pup with someone we don’t know too well. Julie sent us lots of pictures and updates. We will definitely rebook!”

“Caitlin was easy to communicate with, and her house is perfect for pet sitting, replete with a grassy backyard and dog door. Comfy, clean, welcoming environment. You can tell she really cares for the pets in her charge. Future repeat customer!”

“Alysha took amazing care of Woody, and he got lots of love and exercise while staying with her. The text updates were great and very reassuring to hear our boy was doing well. We were very impressed with the ease of booking and the price. We will definitely book with Alysha again for any future dog sitting needs! Thank you again Alysha!”

“Mia was thoughtful with communication and followed all instructions. She was great with my pets and also handled an unexpected situation. Overall she is knowledgeable and a very reliable sitter! Would definitely book again.”

“Caralisa did a great job with my senior kitties while we were away, which included giving meds and keeping up with our Litter Robot! She should get a 10/10 for responsiveness and communication, and went out of her way to get to our meet-and-greet after she was traveling all day. Would definitely recommend for your pets.”

“Emily was great, highly responsive and always went above and beyond. She was very flexible and was able to accommodate requests for additional visits. She ensured my two fur babies were well loved and played with the entire time I was gone.”

About: As a pre-veterinary student, I understand that every cat is different. Some are social and playful, while others need time, patience, and a calm approach to feel comfortable. I always let cats interact at their own pace and work to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I'm experienced caring for cats of all ages, including seniors and those with special medical needs. I'm comfortable administering medications when needed and pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, litter box habits, and overall well-being. Whether your cat enjoys play sessions, quiet companionship, or simply having someone dependable to care for them while you're away, I'll provide attentive care and regular updates so you can relax knowing they're in good hands.

“Anabelle took a good care of Bear (male cat) over the last two weeks through her daily visits. She made sure Bear got everything he needed. I loved getting Ana's daily updates and photos of Bear—it really gave me peace of mind. Thank you, Ana. I appreciate you.”

“Responsive, prompt, communicative. Amy is everything you want from a pet care pro! Heck, 2 days after her last visit, our cat Russell is still looking for her! 😀 I mean it, book Amy whenever you need the very best!”

“Justine is amazing! She is very sweet, accommodating, and trustworthy. We were a little worried about finding someone who would be a good fit, since one of our cats is not very friendly, but she reassured us and put our minds at ease. It was so nice not to worry about the cats while we were out of town. We got great updates and adorable photos. We will definitely be rebooking with Justine.”

“Julia is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter and communicator. When we needed a booking with just 4 days notice, she arrived ready to help. Every day she was perfectly timely and her check-in notes made me feel like my cat was well cared for. Her effort made my traveling easier and we'll definitely reach out to her whenever we may need this again.”

“Tina truly went above and beyond! Her updates were thorough, and she always sent many pictures. We loved that she provided our cat with enrichment activities during her visits. She even did some light grooming and sweeping, which was a lovely surprise! We loved Tina and would absolutely book her again.”

“A huge thank you to Teresa for dropping in on my cat Hazy. He doesn’t like anyone but his daddy! But he loved Teresa! Excited for her to sitting for us again!!! Highly recommend!”

“It was a quick and simple visit, but Caitlin went above and beyond to take care of my kitties. She spent time with them and even sent me pictures of them eating their food. Top notch sitter!”

About: Hi, I’m Becca! I have over 10 years experience in professional pet care, over 5 years experience as a veterinary assistant, and I’m a certified pet groomer. I have one dog and 6 perfectly spoiled cats. I’d be honored to care for your fur babies.

“Mahalia & Mars were exceptional with their care of my cat. She's an older cat, so I was worried leaving her with anyone, but Mahalia assured me she'd be well taken care of, and updated me each day with a photo of my cat "living the good life." Superb communication, and excellent attention to detail when it came to my cat's needs. I'd easily book again, knowing that my cat would be in great hands and well attended. Thank you Mahalia & Mars!”

“This was my first time ever using the Rover app and getting a pet sitter for my 3 cats. I was very nervous about leaving the cats at home during our 4 day trip since it would’ve been their first time being alone for a long period of time. However, Kristine was very good with the cats and very reassuring! She followed the instructions I had left, made sure the cats had what they needed, played with them and snuggled them! Of course, she sent photos of the cats during her daily visits and a detailed description of what was done that day. Which was amazing for easing my anxiety about leaving my pets at home. I definitely recommend Kristine for watching your fur babies and I will totally reach out to her when needed in the future! Thanks Again!”

About: Hi, I'm Madeline! I'm always active taking my dogs for long walks and hikes, or to the local dog parks. I'm a lifelong dog lover, and proud dog mom. While I’m new to Rover, I bring years of trusted experience walking and sitting dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages from playful 8-week-old puppies to wise 13-year-old seniors. The dogs I'm carrying in the photos have been family to me since they were pups, and ones I've had the pleasure of looking out for. Friends and family have relied on me time and time again, one even called me a dog whisperer after watching me connect with their strong-willed pointer mix! I’ve studied basic training techniques through a puppy obedience course, guidance from a professional trainer, and good ol' YouTube. These tools help me better understand each dog’s energy and needs, whether they’re high-reactive adventurers or mellow cuddlebugs. My goal is always to make your dog feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. Let’s set up a meet-and-greet because I’d love to connect with you and your pup! Whether your pet needs regular daily walks, last-minute check-ins, or extended sitting while you're out of town, I’m here to help. My open availability means I can easily accommodate your pet’s routine and make sure they get consistent care and attention. I've had the pleasure of dog sitting and walking for close friends and family, always making sure to follow any specific instructions provided. Since summer days can get especially hot, I’m always prepared by carrying a bag with essentials like water, a bowl, treats, poop bags, and a frisbee. For my dogs, if the pavement is too hot (I always check with the back of my hand), they wear protective boots to prevent burns, and if you're dog has some little booties, I'll make sure their paws stay protected and take frequent shade breaks. On those extra hot days when it’s safer to stay indoors, I make sure my dogs still get their energy out with games, enrichment toys, and fun training tricks. I love keeping things playful while prioritizing safety and well-being.

“Joel and Crystal watched my pup for 8 days and did a wonderful job. I would recommend them. They were also extremely kind and flexible when I was late returning due to flight delays. I will definitely be using them in the future! Thanks so much!!”

“Excellent communication, and could accommodate us on short notice, our dog got some dog playtime while my daughter and I attended a live sporting event. Good with dogs, highly recommended.”

“Denise was the best with our little yorkie while we were in town for a graduation. She took care of him during the day and he was calmer than usual and happy! Thank you again Denise!”

“Journey is the perfect sitter for our reactive baby. I could immediately tell she has lots of experience and is comfortable with even fearful dogs like ours. The thing about Journey that I am most appreciative of is that she has Fear Free certification. She showed in all her communication with me that she understood Guinness’s needs through his body language and was respectful of his boundaries (however long they lasted, apparently he got pretty cuddly!). I will definitely be bringing Guinness back for boarding, daycare, and probably grooming too. I can’t express how grateful I am to imagine being able to board Guinness and therefore travel again! Thank you, Journey!”

“Thank you so so much for being patient with little ball of anxiety. I am so glad Oaks liked it. I highly highly recommend Valerie. Thank you also for keeping me in the loop with how she was doing, it helped me :)”

“Claire was patient and kind with our younger rescue dog, Quince, who can get stressed in new environments. Our senior dog, Duncan, seemed to do great. We appreciated the pictures of their day and were happy they were comfortable enough to settle in for a snooze. Their home seemed warm and inviting with plenty of comfy spaces to cuddle up. Claire had some good insight for future visits, and we hope to be able to have our boys in her care in the near future.”

“Ruthie was excellent with my pup. Sent lots of photos, provided top notch care, and made sure he got a mix of inside & outside time. I would definitely let Ruthie watch my boy again!”

About: I worked in Veterinary medicine as a CVT for 15 years. I’m now in real estate so I have the experience but am able to work from home and spend hours with animals that need special care & medications (whether orally, injectable or topically). I am comfortable with most farm animals as well. My rates are based off of pets that need that extra care/ medications etc. Depending on their needs (or ease of care) my rates can be flexible! Just ask and we can discuss your/your pets needs to figure it out I am available for walks or drop ins most days but for boarding (my house or yours), I am available Wednesdays and Thursdays and every other weekend. Because I can work from home your animals don’t have to be lonely while you’re away! I am active, healthy and smoke free. I love walking dogs, running them at the park, playing chase or tug a war or whatever shenanigans your pet loves. I’ve raised goats, chickens and pigs and have some experience with cows and horses. I have helped with reptiles and birds too.. As having worked in day practice and emergency medicine I have a wide knowledge and experiences with various medical needs, diseases and behaviors. I pay close attention to body language and want to make your time away as stress free and reassured as possible. I am happy to help with house needs during the stay as well such as watering plants, getting the mail, taking out the trash, etc.
About: I've been lucky to have dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, that is 50+ years of wagging tails. I know how important consistency is for keeping dogs calm, especially when they're staying somewhere new. My goal is to make their time with me feel as close to "home" as possible. Whether your dog (aka family member) wants snuggles, a cozy nap spot, playtime with my dog, or a little quiet space to themselves, I follow their lead and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I’m currently in between jobs, which means I’m home full‑time and able to give your dog plenty of attention throughout the day/night. My home is relaxed, warm, and set up for dogs to feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. I keep things safe, clean, and low‑stress, and I follow each dog’s natural rhythm — whether that’s playtime, naps, snuggles, or simply hanging out nearby. I share my home with my young male mix‑breed dog (born 12/6/24), a poodle/wire‑haired terrier mix who’s neutered, well‑behaved, and absolutely loves meeting new dog friends. He’s gentle, social, and always happy to have a buddy around, but I also make sure every visiting dog has space and downtime whenever they want it.

“Rosa was so helpful in caring for my dog while she recovered from an injury. Melon was so happy to see her when we got to her house so I know she was given tons of love and attention. I would recommend Rosa to anyone!”

“Howser thoroughly enjoyed his time with Angie and her pups! It's so comforting to know he gets to be with a true dog lover when I need to be away from him.”

“Sabrina is absolutely wonderful! I came into town for work and needed someone to watch my two pups—little did I know they’d be going to doggie Disneyland for the day!! Sabrina sent me tons of pictures throughout the day and I felt comfortable and confident that my pups were taken care of and safe all day. I will be returning every time I’m in Eugene. Highly recommend.”

About: My wife and I have a combined experience of 14 years taking care of all kinds of animals. We see them as family. We were a former care coordinator for our local humane society before moving to Oregon and take looking after your family very seriously. Don't like a male in your home? No problem we'll arrange for my wife to present instead. We work together for you! After the passing of our dog we wanted to start Rover in memory of our Chewy we have 2 Cats and 1 small Senior Dog that would be isolated in our master bedroom to give your family member the space and attention they deserve! We can work all hours. My wife and I have very open availability to make any schedule work! Let us know what you would like! We have an apartment, with spare bedrooms, experience with puppies, kittens, sick animals, and special needs animals. (: If you want someone that knows what they're doing we're here for you!
“I am so glad I found Julie as I was looking for last-minute coverage for my sweet boy Everett…she was very accommodating of my schedule & responded right away to a change in drop off time I needed to make. She sent pictures during the visit and when I picked Everett up, she reflected on how he did based on info in his doggie bio (namely Ev’s quirky reactions to things like crows and school busses) — I was impressed by the effort to give him the care & attention he needed way above and beyond basic feeding time/instructions. I will definitely be back, and Ev was a happy tired boy at the end of the day too!”

“Diane was really conscientious about introducing the dogs and how my senior girl would acclimate and I really appreciated that as Lucy is not used to day care. She was flexible about time, has a nice big back yard and a calm demeanor. We will stay again if back in the area!”

About: Hi there! My journey in professional animal care began early, shadowing my mother in her animal behavior and care business. I gained hands-on experience with a wide range of species—including dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, cattle, goats, and rabbits—which shaped my understanding of how to meet animals where they are: emotionally, behaviorally, and physically. While I am not a licensed dog trainer, I’ve spent much of my life developing a thoughtful, intuitive approach to animal care. My professional background includes extensive training in wildlife handling and care techniques. During college, I volunteered at the Cascades Raptor Center in Eugene, assisting with the daily care and rehabilitation of birds of prey. Over the years, I’ve also provided pet care for friends and family, building trust through reliability, compassion, and a deep respect for each animal’s unique needs. Now, I’m excited to offer my experience and dedication to the local community. I’m Fear Free Certified for dogs, and while I’m not certified for cats or other animals, I apply many of the same principles across species: 🧘♀️ Creating low-stress environments 🐾 Respecting boundaries and body language 🛏️ Offering comfort, routine, and enrichment 🐕🦺 Using gentle handling and positive reinforcement In 2024, I worked with shelter animals at Greenhill Humane Society, where I received extensive behavioral training and advanced to independently care for dogs and support enrichment for cats. That experience helped me develop a deep understanding of animal behavior, stress signals, and how to build trust with pets from all backgrounds. What I offer: 🐶🐱 Drop-in visits, walks, feeding, litter care & medication support 🧶 Enrichment activities tailored to your pet’s personality 📸 Daily updates with photos and notes 🐾 Experience with seniors, shy pets, and those with special needs Whether your pet is playful, reserved, or somewhere in between, I bring calm energy, reliable care, and a genuine love for animals to every visit. Thank you for considering me — as someone who has also used Rover for my own pets, I know it can be daunting to find the perfect fit for your furbabies. Pet care is a natural part of my daily rhythm. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. Whether it’s a midday walk, a drop-in visit, or extended overnight care, I’m able to adjust my schedule to meet your pet’s needs without the constraints of a traditional 9–5 job. Because I’m home-based, I can offer: 🐕 Timely potty breaks and walks 🐈 Calm, low-stress drop-ins for cats and small pets 🐾 Flexible scheduling for last-minute requests Whether your pet needs a quick check-in or more involved care, I’m able to integrate it seamlessly into my day, ensuring they get the attention and comfort they deserve. I currently do not offer in-home boarding, but I provide personalized care in your pet’s own home, where they feel most comfortable and secure. Whether it's a quick drop-in, a longer visit, or multiple check-ins throughout the day, I tailor each session to your pet’s routine and emotional needs. Because I work from home, my schedule is flexible—I can accommodate midday visits, early mornings, or evening care depending on your pet’s habits. I focus on creating a calm, low-stress experience by respecting their space, reading their body language, and offering enrichment that suits their personality. Your pet gets: 🐾 Familiar surroundings and routines 🧘♀️ Low-stress care with gentle handling 🐕 Walks, playtime, feeding & medication support 📸 Updates so you stay connected I treat every visit as a chance to build trust and make your pet’s day better. Whether they’re playful, shy, or need extra patience, I’m here to meet them where they are.

“When we lost our dog sitter I was devastated and nervous we wouldn't find another great fit. However, we feel so lucky to have found Sarah! She is so carrying, understanding, and just amazing with our high energy 1 year old dog. She truly understands that dogs come with their own unique quirks and does a great job at letting our boy know whose the boss. She listens to what your training goals are and helps you achieve it through consistency. Thank you so much Sarah!!!!”

“Teresa was wonderful!! She was great at communicating (even when it was late) and went out of her way to make sure my pup had a great time with her. I would highly recommend her and plan to rebook next time we need help ☺️🤗”

About: I have a cocker spaniel back home, whom I walked daily. During the winter I walked my neighbors dog 5 times a week for 45 minutes after school. I work from home managing social media for a local bakery in Portland, I make my own schedule. I also have practice from 6:25-8:25 daily. My dog used to bark at other dogs on walks, using a reward system I’ve trained her to stop and wait quietly when dogs pass.
“Pinch loves his walks/runs with Julia. He’s always excited to see her. Julia is always punctual and has great communication with us. She’s shared some beautiful photos of Pinch. Is accommodating when asked to increase walking time. We are grateful for her! We will continue to have Julia walk Pinch for however long it works for both of us”

I will also be sure to clean up after your pet and leave your home same or better condition than I found it.
About: I've grown up surrounded by animals, and caring for them isn't just a job for me, it's a lifelong love. I've pet- and farm-sat for friends, family, and clients who trusted me to feed, walk, and administer medications to their furry family members. I have a lot of experience with anxious and reactive dogs, as well as special needs and chronically ill pets. My own dog is leash reactive, and has an autoimmune illness, so I'm well practiced with medication schedules, extra-gentle handling, and reading subtle cues that something's off. I also spent 15 years riding horses, so I'm comfortable and confident around animals of all kinds and temperaments. These days I’m a dog mom to Mac and Rocky. And I currently work in animal welfare, so your pet's wellbeing is my profession. You can trust that your furry friend will be in experienced, compassionate hands. I work from home and have a flexible schedule to do drops, walks and to give some extra love! I have free time during weekdays and weekends I will follow your instructions to a t. I know it can be stressful to leave your pets with a new sitter, so I will provide detailed updates including photos.

“They were amazing and so caring for my puppy. They cared for him like he was their own and sent updates. I was really stressed about leaving him with someone else for the first time and will go to them first next time I need him cared for overnight.”

About: I've taken care of animals for 15+ years. Weather it was my own animal or a friend or families I was always there to give potty breaks and train them on proper care. I also train dogs and have many years of experience training dogs to do various commands such as sit, down, roll over, and crate training. This will be my full time job so I'll have plenty of time to dedicate to your furry friend. I do have a dog and cat of my own but they are great around other dogs. I live in an apartment in the middle of campus. There is unfortunately no backyard but I ensure that your dog will get many walks and potty breaks and playtime.
“My dog Riah had a great time with Sabrina, Derrick and Kepler. I appreciate the pictures and updates they send each day that Riah spent with them. Riah is excited to see them each time she visits them, which is a great sign of how wonderful they are.”

“Madison took great care of my little senior. She provided me updates and pictures. My girl was as perfect when I picked her up as she was when I dropped her off. Would recommend!”
